Excellent poutine, French bread pizza, and buffalo chicken salad! Perfect sized portions! Great service!

This super small place is situated right in town, and we figured we would give it a try!

They had a bunch of specials, including a flat bread pizza with red pepper and chicken which was delicious!

I had the chicken sandwich which was super tasty, with a side of Mac salad. The mac salad was good and wasn’t dressed too heavy.

Overall a great experience and we would go back!

The waitress was awesome! She's a fellow teacher with great manners and very attentive. This place is a pub with very limited seating, however, it is very clean. The drink I had called killing kimmy was very sweet. The poutine was delicious as the gravy was tasty! I ate a 1/2 pound burger and my wife got a triple grilled cheese. Would definitely recommend this place to all visitors at Alex Bay. It is on a side road and not a part of the main row of shops and restaurants but it's right around the corner. Thus it calls itself "a best kept secret" for a reason.

This is a small comfy place in Alexandria Bay with great food, drinks and very friendly staff.

We both got the taco salad bowl and onion rings.... It Was Soooooo Good!!!
On my first visit last summer, we got burgers and fries and they were also Very Good!
Will definitely make this our lunch / dinner spot when up that way 🙂✌

Visited during late December, great food and service. The French bread pizza was amazing. My wife had the buffalo chicken salad and loved it. Elite quality food. Highly recommend.

True locals bar with not rip you off prices. A wide variety of great food with awesome 80s music. The pretzel tasted amazing along with the sauces. Great friendly service. This is the place to go.

This is definitely a great place to spend the evening or for dinner. It's with in walking distance of everything on the main drag of A Bay, and the food was reasonably priced, and tasted AMAZING!!! We got take out one night and ate in the other. Their mules(different variants of a Moscow Mule), hard lemonade, and River Monster were great. Definitely not your traditional "sit down" restaurant, but for bar food look no further. It truly is the hidden gem of A-Bay.

Visiting Carthage NY from Arizona and I really liked this place. Came in for an early lunch before it got busy. Clean and a great staff. Enjoyed the layout and the food. I was told it was the best place in town for burgers and they did not disappoint!

Great spot. First was the poutine great fries and combo of gravy and cheese. French dip sandwich was awesome good size and tasty. Bacon Cheeseburger cooked perfect medium. Being from Buffalo the wings were some of the best I ever had crispy and perfect amount of sauce on them. Our waitress was awesome great personality and on the JOB!!! And lastly they serve Alagash White beer!!!!!!

We had the best service and our food was amazing. Coming from Virginia, it was so nice to find a quaint little pub with really affordable prices. Our 9 year old loved the "Big ol Pretzel" and the chicken rancher was amazing. Oh and the pizza logs were delicious too!

This little spot has solid pub food (I love their wings but all their stuff is yummy), a chill atmosphere and is run by nice people. They also sell cigs and are a spot in A-Bay that's open later for food.

Has the absolute best fried cheese curd and gravy!! They treat you as if you were family and because the community reach is important to them. Not to mention they also have in a can Gunners Daughter.

What a great find thanks to Google and wandering around! Small local place with delicious bar food. Group got a burger, Italian sandwich, flatbread, and soup, all had great things to say. Good line up of draft and canned beer and cocktails. One waitress working the bar, tables, and running food until her backup came but she did a great job keeping things in order in a timely manner. Will definitely be back!

My second time coming into Alex Bay’s Best Kept Secret. Stopped in with a group to friends two weeks ago and had some appetizers and beers. Came in tonight on a very rainy Thursday. Only one other couple present, and it was later, but I was able to order dinner. Poutine here is quite awesome. Bang bang shrimp is a winner. Several craft beers on tap and a very large selection of canned beers. I had a really great chat with the new owner Brianna. This place has been in her family for over 60 years. She has done a real nice job remodeling the place and updating the menu. If you are in the area, stop into The Dockside and help support this local business.

Been going here for years. Maybe twenty? This is hands-down my grandma's favorite restaurant, and she's been all around the country many times.

Their Reubens are fabulous, as are their taco salads. And Shirley temples and martinis.

The food is great, the service is great, and the people are great.

It may not have the view that other places in the area have, but there is no better place if you want good food in a good environment.

Bear in mind that I've only been here for lunches, though i've been dozens and dozens and dozens of times.

Seriously, my grandma and I pretty regularly talk about how much we miss Dockside, being in Arizona.

There is one downside, though: it's not accessible in any way. Even using a cane would be quite a struggle in there. But there's a couple steps up, and it's crowded enough that mobility aids really are not feasible except during the lulls.
