A short hiking trail with a great view! There is a church right next to the entrance. One good thing about this one is that it has bike trails. There are benches at certain viewpoint for hikers to take a breath and enjoy the view. Overall the trail should take somewhere between 30-60 mins depending on your pace. There is enough space for parking.

Chip Ross park is an excellent park for a quick hike via the chip Roos park loop, all the way to a multiple mile hike by doing the loop then taking the access trail to the OSU McDonald Dunn Research trail.

The view from the top of Chip Ross gives you a nice view of town where you can spot your favorite local landmarks and even see the three sisters mountains on a clear day.

Get here early and catch the sunrise! Or catch the sunset.

Dogs are allowed - on or off leash.

Mary’s Peak is visible towards the West.

My beautiful Home Town is Corvallis, Oregon. This very special magical place can heel you. Chip Ross rises above Corvallis Oregon. Chip Ross has a lot of amazing views of the Willamette Valley and is covered with beautiful Oak trees and Douglas Firs, Chip Ross is sure not to disappoint. Every hike up it is invigorating and blissful. Try to hike it everyday if you can and I promise you will fall in love with it.

There's beautiful views once you're at the top. Dog friendly (on a leash please, or have them trained well enough). It's a great local hike for when we'd rather get fresh air than hit the gym.

Beautiful view ! Me and my friends loved sitting at one of the benches and staring at the view.

This is a beautiful hike. The gravel parking lot at the trail head is pretty rough and the trail itself is too. This is not a hike that is easily accessible to strollers or anyone who has trouble with uneven and steep ground. Choose the shorter or longer loop. Beautiful trees along the way and a lovely view at the top. Expect to meet other hikers, dogs, bikers, and horses on this path.

Very beautiful at any time of day. Walk wise it does have a lot of uphill and the trails are not accessible. There are wonderful views and it is a great place to immerse yourself in nature while staying close to the city. I would love to go again.

Beautiful views of Valley and Corvallis. Trails are in good shape. At least the one I was on. Lots of climbing on this short hike. Good for the body and the soul!

Nice trails and views of Corvallis. Sometimes a good spot for birdwatching. Parking can sometimes be rather full as the lot is small.

My wife & I just moved to Corvallis last month & it was recommended that we hike to the peak of Chip Ross, and we're so glad we did. It is a spectacular view of Corvallis and the surrounding area. The fields and mature oak forest are beautiful. There is only a little bit of poison oak along parts of the trails. Will be beautiful changes over the seasons.

Very easy to find trail head and parking. The trails were maintained well to walk in regular shoes (we were visiting from out of state and didn't bring hiking shoes).

Chip Ross is one of my all time favorite spots in Corvallis. Amazing view to the town and the valley, some easy/medium trails with benches to rest, and a connection to the university forest. A prefect destination to get away from your busy life and watch the sun set over the coastal mountains.

Nice park with plenty of shade and well defined trails. You really have to know where you're going, though, because there are so many trail options. We were with friends so we didn't get lost, but it would have been easy to.

Lovely Fall walk. Moderate intensity, wear stable footwear, as the path can be slick with leaves or mud. If you don't like dogs, likely not a great choice for you, as there were several with their owners, none leashed. They were VERY well behaved, and not a problem for me, but if you or a dog with you were not prepared, it could be uncomfortable.

Easy hike to the top of a ridge that allows for great views of the valley. My school age children were able to easily keep up, and there was a good mix of shade and sun.

A great place for a little hike. My dog and I spent about an hour there and saw lots of great birds, including wild turkeys! Bring your binoculars!
