Outstanding native plantings, great birding, at least 2/3 of the trail in deep shade, often in tunnels of thickly planted ninebark. Especially inspirational for those of us interested in native species and conservation efforts.
Well maintained except the parking area, which has a large mass of poison hemlock.

Fantastic trail to take your young kids and animals on leashes. It's about an hour hike, the path is very clear and well maintained, it's pet friendly, and it's all fairly level terrain. I think this is one of the hidden gems of easy hikes around Albany.

Wonderful white, yellow, blue and purple wildflowers. The trailhead recently been trimmed to make it wider. We walked to the campground and never came across the fallen tree mentioned an earlier comments. Love that this path gives you river views and views of big trees and fields of flowers.

Great place for a hike! Excellent place for a hike close to home. Still a bit muddy in some places but the scenery is green air fresh and the environment is quiet and serene.

It's the perfect place for micro fishing!!! I caught Pikeminnow, Bluegill, Smallmouth Bass, and Largemouth bass! Getting kayaks down is tricky, but it's a perfect place for wading in the summer! A must-try spot!

It's my favorite walk. About a 4 mile walk through a savannah that's being restored and through mixed oak, ash, maple, and cedar forest. The trail runs along the Luckimute River and a portion of the Willamette. The boat camping spot has a nice beach along the Willamette, picnic tables, and restrooms in season. Dogs can run free except during spring nesting season. Lots of fun flowers and berries to identify. Some interpretive signs provide helpful guides to the plants and trees.

Nice easy trail, 4 mile round trip to the confluence of two rivers and a creek. A Barred owl swooped over my head and perched nearby for photos.

Very nice hiking around the Willamette and Luckiamute rivers. Mostly shaded and as such can be muddy so be prepared. Dogs are quite welcome and this includes off leash. Lots of side trials to get right up to the rivers. Very flat hiking with virtually no elevation gain or descent. Not particularly developed but there are a couple picnic tables and a fire pit/grate if you follow the main spur over to the Willamette. This area is also an official point/marker on the Willamette Water Trail. Great spot for an easy but fulfilling hike.

I love coming here any season. Trails are barefoot approved. I typically don't see too many people walking the trails.
