The Wohlt House

Can't say enough, RESTFUL stay! My wife and I stayed over the Thanksgiving day weekend celebrating our November birthdays and had an amazing time. We had a VERY nice card, gifts, and balloon awaiting our arrival, shows the attentiveness and care of the owners/staff. We had the whole place to ourselves, which was a little strange, but VERY romantic and relaxing. Great location for walking distance to everything downtown, as well as if you are going to ride the train and get off, only one block from the Amtrak station. We WILL highly recommend this historic Bed and Breakfast and hope to be back again.

We have stayed at The Wohlt House numerous times over the past five years. The new owners have done a great job maintaining the rooms and keeping the welcome feeling. Location is perfect for being able to walk through town, but not being near the noise of Oktoberfest. I highly recommend it and we will be staying there in the future years.

We've been to Hermann a number of times but this October (2022) was the first time we stayed at The Wohlt House. My group of six adults rented the entire house and WOW, are we glad we did! What an amazing place. It's right where all of the action is during October Fest! The house itself is beautiful and is set up to maximize your relaxation. The big jet tubs in the downstairs rooms are a great feature as well as the big clawfoot tub in the upstairs bathroom. Since we rented the entire house (highly recommend!), we also had full access to the kitchen which was nice because we picked up some groceries and made breakfast and one dinner which we enjoyed in the house. We played games and enjoyed the wine we picked up throughout our wine tasting adventure. It was the most fun we have had in a long time. The back deck on the second level is a nice, relaxing place to enjoy morning coffee, or evening drinks. The beds were very spacious with enough blankets and pillows to keep us comfortable and the TV's had our favorite apps so we could watch our shows if we wanted to. We had so much fun, we were exhausted every night and never even watched the TV's but it's nice to have the option. The owners are very cool. We had some trouble with day visitors taking up parking spots in the private lot but the owners were quick to help remedy the situation. If you're looking for a beautiful, comfortable, and very convenient place to stay that is right downtown in Hermann, look no further. If you have a group, I can't recommend renting the entire house enough for your stay. It was really very reasonably priced for everything we got with this stay. 10/10, will stay again!

We rented the whole house for my best friends wedding! It had plenty of space for all the bridesmaids and family that stayed! Lots of room to get ready! Our hair and makeup artists got us ready here with no issues! And lots of space and natural light for all the fun photos! GREAT location and the owners are so friendly!

We rented the two bottom rooms with another couple, and have to say this place is awesome! Erin and June are awesome hosts and made us feel at home right away. The rooms are charming and the bathrooms are huge! We took advantage of the full length deck to enjoy the evenings and had wonderful conversation with everyone. It's situated at the edge of downtown right across from the Diebergs and Hermennhof winery and only two blocks from the tin mill and Hermann Wurst Haus market. We will definitely be back!!

Enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable bed. Huge bathroom with a two person whirlpool tub, separate shower and large closet. Close to the Amtrak Station, close to many of the wine tasting and restaurants. Decent breakfast. Nice private parking lot for guests. 2nd floor deck overlooking a nice garden, the train track and a little view of the Missouri River.

Our stay in Hermann was fantastic. A group of us stayed here to celebrate birthdays. The Wohlt House is very nice and within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops.

We stayed at the Wohlt house over a weekend and had a very nice stay. The breakfasts each morning were delicious and filling and the accommodations were excellent. We stayed in the upstairs Lewis and Clark room. The bathroom is across the hall from the bedroom, but it is your own private bathroom. I would for sure stay at the Wohlt house again!

Exceptional price. Very comfortable and you can't ask for a better location. We were close to everything including our train station. I really enjoyed the hosts ar the Wohlt house. I was worried about my sleep being so close to a busy road and the train. They provide ear plugs but I didn't need them. Slept so well. It was a great old fashioned experience.

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at the Wohlt House. We've enjoyed it both times! It is a beautiful historic house and we would love to stay there again!

Had a great experience there when we stayed last winter. The rooms were nice and the location is just a quick walk away from a lot of the local attractions.

We rented the whole house for a weekend. It is perfectly located with an easy walk to a few wineries, restaurants, and coffee shops. The house is beautiful and well kept, with nice amenities. The deck was a great place to have a cup of coffee or glass of wine. It was perfect for our weekend getaway!

The hosts were very friendly, breakfast was delicious and plentiful, room spacious and bed very comfortable.
