Sal's New York Pizza

I was out of town with my kids for spring break, and we were hungry. We’re looking for something good we was route. It was real close to our hotel. I went ahead and called an order ahead for carry out. It was right on time. Wasn’t running late, ready as soon as I got there. There are a lot of sales around, but only some are in my opinion traditional cells, pizzas, and this place was authentic. The staff was so nice and the food was delicious. It is located right on the beach road mile 10 it is definitely worth the trip and it is definitely worth the price!

Great pizza! The crust wasn't squishy, it had a firm texture to it and the flavor was very good!! We were early for pickup, but they already had them just about ready to go! Come check this place out all you pizza lovers!!

We were greeted by a friendly employee who was also our server. The garlic knots were cheesy, buttery and with a good garlic flavor. They tasted even better when dipped in the flavorful red sauce. When I noticed that Lentil Soup was on the menu I had to order some. I was not disappointed. The lentils were tender, and in a flavorful broth with sweet onions. That tasted delicious, and reminded me of my grandmother's homemade Lentil Soup. It tasted even better with the Gremolata sauce because it brightened up the flavors in a very good way. For dinner we ordered both the Margherita and The Vinny NY Style Pizzas. The fresh mozzarella is made in house, and one can taste and see it because it is milky and has a wonderful stretch to it. The Margherita Pizza was like a tomato pie with fresh mozzarella, and topped with fresh basil. It is light, refreshing and very delicious. The Vinny is made with a spicy tomato sauce, which has a nice heat to it, shredded and fresh mozzarella, and pepperoni. I thought it would be too much cheese, but it wasn't. It was a great balance of cheese, spicy tomato sauce and pepperoni. Both pizzas had an amazing NY Style Thin Crust. The crust was baked to golden perfection, and held up very well to the toppings. For dessert we ordered mini Cannolis. The cannoli shells were crispy with a faint taste of cinnamon, and a sweet, light and creamy ricotta cheese filling topped with semi sweet chocolate chips. A delicious dessert to top off our meal.

Craving pizza, at the beach, GO!! Some of the best pizza I’ve had Anywhere. We got a large supreme and 2 local craft beers on tap. Pizza was thin, but not too thin, crust was toasty to perfection and the sauce had just the right amount of tang to it, with fresh yummy toppings. The Best. Nothing fancy, paper plates & plastic cups…just great food with good service and small but clean dining area. Plus, they offer free delivery within like a 5 mile area and ordering online. What more could you want?

Got a late carry out order. About an hour before close they go to a more limited menu, so get in there early if you want some of their specials. I was wanting the white pizza, which was in the late menus and it was excellent! Had it for three meals!
Great place to grab pizza and easy to get to. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the food came out quickly! Definitely recommended!

Excellent meal! We got the eggplant pasta and the cheese tortellini w/the salad add on. Everything was fresh and there was enough food for four people. Would definitely recommend this establishment!!

An amazing dining experience in Kill Devil Hills! The portions are huge, the price is small. I recently gave Sal's a try on my recent trip to Kill Devil Hills based on the NY Pizza reference in the name. Hesitant at first, I was quickly settled in to an amazing dining experience.
The staff at Sal's was friendly and accommodating. Multiple times the owners checked on my dining party and were very friendly, striking up conversation.
Sal's offered a large assortment of house made selections all of which sounded amazing as I read through the menu.
My salad arrived and was very appealing to the eye as well as the palette. Professionally made and larger than I expected for the price.
Accompanying my salad was an order of mozzarella sticks perfectly prepared and delicious.
We ordered an 18" pizza for our main course since pizza is in the name. The pizza was absolutely incredible! The crust was perfect and the toppings were fresh.
The couple sitting next to me had ordered the chicken parm. When the plate arrived I couldn't believe my eyes. The chicken parm looked amazing and smelled incredible. The portion was huge!
Sal's NY Pizza is a MUST stop if you are in Kill Devil Hills, NC. Amazing owners and staff offering delicious food options at very reasonable prices.

First time in this small but quaint eatery serviced by friendly staff, making hot tasty and plentiful food items. I purchased the eggplant parmigiano sandwich, garden salad, tator tots, and a spinach and cheese roll. I have food for 3 days, literally yall! I just wanted to try a couple of different things to see if the google reviews are true. Guess what? They are!

Really enjoyed my meal at Sals!

We started with the loaded bbq tots, which were unreal. The house made bbq pulled pork is sweet and tangy, and the tots are covered in ooey gooey cheese. We also had a classic Caesar salad which was tasty, and a personal margarita pizza. The owner makes the mozzarella in house and it is delish! We also tried the plain NY style pizza which is a super generous (and tasty) slice. The house made wings are awesome as well- they come a few different ways. We enjoyed the picante wings which are mildly hot, as well as the Vesuvius wings which pack a hot punch! Lastly, the cheesecake was so good! Rich and creamy and complemented well by the strawberry sauce and graham cracker crust.

If you’re looking for some satisfying beach eats and a delicious slice of pizza down in obx - look no further than sals!

Pizza was great! Sauce was delicious! Friend said dried rub wings were on point!

I have been coming to this establishment for the past 10 years. It's has become a tradition to visit while I am visiting the OBX, and let me tell you. The pizza gets better every time. It's fresh, authentic, and delicious! I look forward to my next visit!!

First time trying Sal's and won't be our last! My caprese sandwich was the best I've ever had! It was jammed with fresh mozz and fresh tomatoes. The arugula was crisp and perfect. Try the loaded tots too! My husband loved the pizza. Ordered carry out and it was ready so fast and the fits were still perfectly crispy. Thanks for a wonderful dinner!

Awesome and Authentic NY style pizza! Very Tasty and Great Service! The Large Pie is truly a Large Pie! The mozz sticks are crispy and delicious as well.
This is our only Stop for Pizza in OBX!

Very good service. The girl that took the order said 15 minutes and I was out of there in 13 minutes. Pizza was awesome. Whole cloves of garlic were out of this world.

Got delivery for a white pizza and a meatball sub. Both were hot and ready to eat. Pizza and sub was great, but be forewarned, if you get the white pizza you might need to be a garlic lover.

No doubt the best around, the food is great and you get plenty.
Best value around for a great meal.
Italian dishes are superb

Great pizza and good people. My wife and I sat at the bar, had a cold beer and a dt. Coke along with our MYO pizza. Thin crispy crust, and delicious ingredients. The bar tender and manager? were friendly and gave good service. The restaurant is a little on the small side. You may have a hard time fitting a large party inside. They do offer take out and delivery though.

Ordering over the phone was great. Wait time was worth it in my opinion. Got a Margarita pizza and spinach artichoke dip and it was FANTASTIC! The driver was hella cool to. Keep it up. Will order for you guys again.

The custom tater tots are unique and banging and the pizza was flavorful. They were having a meeting in half of the restaurant but they have a pool table which is different from other restaurants. The staff was great other than the girl behind the bar after we walked in she looked at her watch and then asked If we were eating in to then look at her watch again. The lady and the managers at the register were amazing. They did a great job and I would go back!

I live in KDH and think this is best pizza in my area. This summer has been a bit difficult to order a delivery pie, because this pizzarea is sourounded by 23 to 30 bedroom homes. Today, I asked if they could par bake my pie at 5:30. They did, and 3 hours later I cooked it on my own 500° pizza stone. It was fabulous! Thanks .folks...my ordering practice has changed.
