Neko Koneko Cafe

This is the coffee that dreams are made of. Delightfully but delicately sweet, the black sesame “kuro game” is the matriarch of iced coffees. You have never had an iced coffee like this. It hits you with a light sweetness and the perfect amount of coffee flavor. Enough so you know you’re drinking fresh espresso, but not overpowering. But you know, in your heart of hearts, that those are freshly ground high quality beans in this drink. But then, in the next wave, comes the black sesame. And what a wave it is. It fuses together the drink in a magic mix of umami flavor that your tongue has not tasted before. And it never will again— at least not until the next time you buy their coffee. The finality comes with the gentle cold creaminess of the oat milk that mixes it all together in a happy dance of love, selfishly holding together this mix of flavors in the background, the maestro conducting the orchestra. Bring this coffee to the beach and take solace, for a moment, in realizing life is better than you thought it was. You are free.

The Hojicha Latte was SO good! The hojicha flavor was very strong, unlike in most hojicha flavored drinks I've had around town. Cute Japanesey-style cafe atmosphere with friendly staff.

This is a Japanese inspired cafe! It’s a cute place in the middle of the street! If you’re not looking for it, it may miss it.

The service was amazing. The worker let us sample a few of the drinks and I ultimately decided on the honey cinnamon! I believe most or all their drinks are made with oatmilk.

Parking may be a little tough. There’s street parking with limited spots in front.

Absolutely a must stop for coffee or tea! The workers were very kind and the atmosphere was very cute. Parking is a bit hard to obtain but definitely worth the stop in.

I love this coffee shop! The whole vibe on the inside is just so cute and well decorated and the coffee is out of this world. Best coffee (cold brew) on the island in my opinion. Only downside is there is VERY little seating to be able to enjoy the atmosphere while you drink your coffee.

They bottle the drinks so you can take them and have them through the week. The presentation is excellent on the bottles.

Parking kind of sucks but it’s worth it.

Very cute Japanese inspired cafe. Parking can be a little tough since there’s only two street stalls directly in front of the building. Additional street parking is available further down or across the street. The cold brew and kurogome are the best! I love that they use non dairy milk for all the lactose intolerant people out there. Buy multiple bottles so you can have some to last you through the week!

Delicious drinks, helpful staff, and cute atmosphere. For one of my work potluck, we brought 1 of each flavor and had mini cups for everyone to try all the flavors....THEY LOVED IT!!!! Hopefully this increase their customer population because it was a huge hit during the potluck. I wish the best for this business and will continue to be a customer during my time here in HI. P.S. they use oatmilk for majority of the drinks and thank you so much for this on behalf of all the unfortunate, lactose intolerant gang lol

This is the best local cafe in Honolulu, the owners are the most wonderful couple and they always remember me and my fiancé when we come in. The drinks are all delicious and the atmosphere is so nice, there’s tons of books around to pick up and read while you drink your coffee, and there’s always something interesting playing on the TV they have there. I love Koneko and always recommend this cafe to my friends!

A MUST-TRY FOR COFFEE PEOPLE. The focus here is on cold brew. Staff were super friendly, took time to explain the menu to me, and offered samples of their cold brew blends. I got my first kuro goma, which was the perfect amount of sweet without making my teeth hurt, and a bottle of hojicha latte to go. The inside aesthetic is extremely clean and crisp. Japanese fashion magazines on the benches. Bring a few quarters for the parking meters.

This place had the best coffee that on the island while I was visiting! They were very friendly as well. Would highly suggest anyone to visit.

Great service, ridiculously good drinks (and samples first) and mouth watering food! A lucky find that we will definitely return to.
