Maplewood Museum- Events

Had my wedding here back in May. The farm was such a wonderful location for our big day, our guests had a wonderful time and it was the perfect back drop for our wedding. The day couldn't have gone better and the farms new event planner Amy did a fantastic job. So happy we got to have our wedding here.

Amy was AMAZING!!! She managed all the bridal request while also setting up the ceremony and reception area the day of the wedding. She also has her own baking business and she made our wedding cake that turned out beautiful. Our photographer commented on how gorgeous it was and our guest said it was a perfect red velvet cake with a flour cream cheese that wasn’t too sweet. I would absolutely have another event at the farm just to have the opportunity to work with Amy again. Thank you for taking the time to make sure the marquee was in Spanish.

I got married here back in September of 2023. The day was beautiful, the up keep to the property has blossomed. Amy, the event coordinator is fantastic to work with. She did so much on the day of the wedding and ensured it was perfect for my husband and I.

I give many kudos to Amy, there were some things that happened that were completely out of her control and she stepped right in and made sure that we, as the couple, had everything we wanted. She was completely responsive to my very specific requests. She has made many positive changes to the barn, making it the most perfect venue for special events. I loved that the barn was a DIY, we got to bring in our own caterer, licensed bar, and decorations and I loved that. I feel that the price was very right too! Highly recommended.

Visited the Red Barn for the first time after living in Maplewood area for over 7 years.
We recently attended the 80 theme Prom Fundraiser event and how fun! We ladies had a great night and if I had to choose an event space I will definitely consider this location. Great space and I bet would be an incredible wedding venue.

This place has beautiful scenery for a wedding. I was surprised to hear the barn was transported from another location. The hay rides kept the children busy and the open bar kept the adults busy. Make sure you follow their instructions when parking. If you are coming from the West, make sure you take the second right. There is overflow parking in the southeast corner of the property. Enjoy and have fun. This is a great place for a small party/get-together.

A gorgeous place for a wedding. The staff was on top of everything we needed or wanted, and the whole venue was stunning.

I've been meaning to write this review since my wedding in September but ya know, life! Bruentrup was everything I hoped for and more for our wedding! The barn was gorgeous, the house was so fun to get ready in for the girls and the lower level was a blast for the guys to get ready in. Tricia was absolutely amazing, she thought of literally everything, even things that we didn't know we wanted! She was quick to respond to all of my questions and concerns and I appreciated that we had a final meeting to go over all details. Our flowers were delivered a day early for some reason and she made sure to get them in water and stored right away so they kept their beauty until the wedding, which they did. She recommended a bar service that was awesome and super fun along with a great tent rental for our bar and buffet to be under, outside. The staff set everything up and it was absolutely gorgeous! I couldn't have done it better myself. Tear down was also included which was amazing because I sure as heck didn't want to do it after the party. They loaded the gifts and all other left over things into designated cars for us. Everything was amazing, I highly recommend Bruentrup!

My son attended the Maplewood Historical Society's Farm to Table camp. For a week he learned how to pick tomatoes to make salsa, use milk to make butter and cheese, and even made bread. He had a great time and I'm excited that the historical society gives kids the opportunity to experience what life can be like on a farm!

Great history at this museum - 3M and Maplewood Exhibit is super well done, with great photos and color. Programs and events have been delightful, and the staff has been nothing but kind and helpful. Don't miss out on this one of a kind hidden gem! Farmers Markets (running June - September) are amazing and family oriented.

Our extended family hosted a 90th Birthday party for my mother-in-law at Bruentrup Farm in June. Everyone was more than pleased with this venue. TJ was an absolute joy to work with for all of our arrangements, questions, etc... The price to rent was more than fair. The ability to bring in food and beverages really kept the costs in line. The ADA entrance allowed the elderly easy access. The hayride added just an extra piece of fun to the whole event. We had games and activities outside with food and beverages and plenty of shady, cool seating inside. A great time was had by all. I'm digging for words to say how overly pleased we all were. Thanks Bruentrup and especially you, TJ!

Not only is Bruentrup a stunning venue, but Tricia is a lifesaver.

Tricia was extremely accommodating as we rescheduled our wedding twice due to the pandemic. As we live out of state and rushed to pull things together at the last minute, Tricia helped turn our vision into something beautiful.

Tricia executed a stunning display, handled the vendors and family, and took amazing care of us. I could not be more grateful to her.

Bruentrup Heritage Farm is a truly incredible location, with naturally gorgeous buildings, flowers, and prairie, a convenient location, and a fraction of the cost of other barn venues. Your booking supports the Maplewood Historical Society and a historical treasure.

I had the privilege of working with Tricia and her team in the fall of 2021. She was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, hard working and a joy to work with. Looking forward to planning another wedding at the Bruentrup Heritage Farm in the near future.

My family held a celebration of life at the barn and it was quite memorable. The venue was beautiful. A gem in the heart of Maplewood.

Such a gorgeous venue! As a wedding photographer, I loved all of the options for photo spots! This venue is perfect for couples looking for a rustic wedding venue right here in the Twin Cities!

Looks to be a good place for family groups to play and kids to learn about farms. I plan to return some day soon to walk the nature paths.

Was at this place for the Big Red Barn sale. A great event. Good food cooked by the historical society. Lots of amazing artists
