The Bronx Bagel Buggy Reviews

The Bronx Bagel Buggy in Chamblee is a delightful new addition to the local food scene. Despite some early reviews focusing on long lines, these are simply a testament to the shop's quickly earned popularity. The bagels here are absolutely worth the wait, and I believe as the initial surge of interest stabilizes, the bagels will become even more accessible.

The shop's challenges seem primarily related to high demand, which is understandable for any new business finding its footing. The women running Bronx Bagel Buggy are not just skilled at their craft; they're genuinely sweet, adding a warm, personal touch to each visit. Their efforts to create a New York-inspired ambiance pay off, offering a charming and authentic dining experience.

The blueberry bagel stands out as the current star of their menu. Its quality and taste set a high bar. Although the cinnamon crunch bagel was out of stock during my visit, it's on my list for next time. This place is quickly becoming my go-to local bagel shop, and I eagerly anticipate their continued success. Bronx Bagel Buggy is a shining example of how a local eatery can capture the heart of a community.

Came here with my husband and toddler for Sunday brunch. We got there around 12 and had to wait in line for 20-30 minutes before we placed our order. We got the "standard" bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel, a french toast bagel with cinnamon pecan cream cheese, an apple muffin, and a homemade pop tart. Everything was delicious! Not one complaint about the food. Will definitely come back again! Seating was very limited inside so that was a little tough to navigate. Once we had placed our order, it only took about 5-10 minutes for order to come out. Staff there were very friendly but they were very busy! Right when we were leaving, I could hear that they were running out of pastries.

Their bagels and bakery items are so delicious! If you live in the Atlanta area or you’re passing through, definitely stop here for breakfast! Prepare yourself because there will be a long line (for good reason!!) but once you try their bagels, it’ll be well worth it.

Loved the customer service and the food phenomenal! We arrived around 1:30 pm and there was a line out the door. Even with a line out the door service was quick. Even though they close at 2 pm, the food I received was like I was the first customer of the day! Everything fresh, hot and so yummy! I will be a regular! Also perks if you patron toward the end of the day 😉

Great experience all around. We’re familiar with the amazing bagels from the Brookhaven Farmer’s Market and have been anxiously awaiting the opening of the shop. Worth the wait! It’s so cute and cozy inside. Was there a line? Yes, but we got there early (7:40am) and it moved fairly quickly. I also fully anticipated a wait, knowing they’re a new shop with tons of demand. The bagels were just as great as ever. The owner and all of the staff were so positive and kind - they even passed out whipped cream to some of the kiddos waiting in line to let them sample. We plan to continue visiting when we can to stock up on a baker’s dozen and freeze if we happen to have any leftover. Excited to support this local business!

Ignore all the reviews about the service, I went around 1:45 which is about 15 minutes before they closed. I try not to do that out of respect for a business but every time I have been by there’s a line and there wasn’t when I went.

The lady at the register was very warm and welcome. The lady making the coffee came around to me to clarify my drink my order to my sure my coffee was how I wanted. Their brown butter syrup was AMAZING! The bagel ARE TO DIE FOR. I got the jalapeño cheddar with raspberry jalapeño cream cheese and the sea salt rosemary bagel with honey Sriracha cream cheese. The bagels are crisp and soft. The sandwhiches seem a little pricy but each one I saw was piled high with meat.

The place its self is a little small and can feel crowded but they have some tables outside.

The entire ambiance there from the food to the environment is spot on. I got the original with honey siracha creamchese and it was the best bagel I’ve had in Atlanta (coming from a philly native) The freshly pressed orange juice hits the spot. The deserts are great and the service is outstanding. Props to the owners who are also great people! Also if you get a chance to try their French toast desert it is BANGIN! So good!

Lot of Mixed reviews so as a New Yorker I had to try it out

Food - had a plain bagel with cinnamon pecan cream cheese and a coffee. Bagel was definitely the best that I’ve had in Atlanta. It’s not New York level but it’s better than anything else you’re gonna get here. Was flavorful and put on thick, served New York style. Coffee was great – they offer espresso, drip, iced coffee, among other things. There was a wide variety of food from bagel sandwiches and bagel with Schmear to Muffins and other baked goods.

Service - they currently only have one station for making bagels. They have other team members slicing and toasting and another one handing out orders but there is only one gentleman actually assembling sandwiches. This slows down the order processing but they are certainly not lollygagging. As their business grows I’m sure they will address this need if demand stays where it is. I showed up at 9:30 AM on a Saturday and waited less than 15 minutes for my order. By the time I left around 10:30 am People were waiting About 30 minutes from line to Food in hand. Their staff is great about taking orders quickly, but order fulfillment is more the issue here. Super friendly staff.

Atmosphere - There is 5 - two seat tables and two bucket chairs by a window. Can probably grab a table if you watch for one and only have 2 people but I wouldn’t bank on it.

Overall I would give it a 4.5/5 for what it is. It’s great bagels for Atlanta, if you go at peak time expect a wait.

Went around 8am on a Friday. There was only maybe 2-3 people in line. I ordered and got my bagel fast! It was delicious and the staff was friendly. Will definitely return.

I finally made it to Bronx Bagel Buggy in Chamblee. The place was open, there were bagels and not too bad of a line. I love bagels and love a NY bagel and since I am from the NE area - I truly appreciate an authentic water bagel. This is it!! I think if I did a blind taste test to my place back home I am not sure I could tell the difference. Well done!!!! The only downside to this place is that they are closed currently on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday - I could maybe survive without bagels one day - but three this makes me sad:(

I cannot believe the amount of negative reviews from entitled customers who literally saw the long line at this small business that recently opened - and still chose to wait that long and stay - why? Because the bagels are tasty!! But ultimately you decided to be a part of the crowd who made the wait long . Perhaps you should check yourself and realize that when businesses are this popular (try other cities like NYC where this is a thing)- this happens! You can go anywhere else. Best of luck to this very popular bagel shop !

This place is delicious, everything we ordered was full of flavor. The manhattan breakfast sandwich transported me right back to NYC with that pastrami, it was my favorite. Smoked beef was fresh out of the oven. The everything bagel with lox spread was great, they mix the capers, lemon and scallions in with the lox spread. I also really appreciate the important detail of there being everything seasoning on the top and bottom side of bagel. I will definitely be back.

I was born and raised in NJ and good bagels are impossible to find. Then I found these guys. I first discovered them at the Brookhaven farmers market so I was thrilled when I heard they were getting a storefront! If you are coming on a weekend, you need to understand that you’re going to wait. The inside was super cute and the ordering line went fairly quickly. After that I waited about another half hour or so. It’s so worth it though. And yes, it’s a little pricey but you’re supporting a small business. You’re also getting something special and hard to come by. The staff is super nice too and even gave me a free bagel for waiting. It’s worth the wait.

Awesome bagels! Yes, you'll have to wait, but it's worth it. Not quite a NY bagel but probably the closest you'll get in Atlanta. Only complaint is I wish they would have a few permanent cream cheese flavors like strawberry for those who dont like to change orders all the time.

Got here around 7:30am on Sunday and there was a short line. Waited in line for about 10min to order 6 bagels and spread to go. Got my order in less than 15 minutes and was out the door by 8am.

Their popularity has skyrocketed from the moment they opened their business so please be patient with them as they try their best.

Great bagels and spread (maple butter) btw!

UPDATE:
They have totally raised their game in terms of speed when it comes to ordering and getting your food. A welcome change that has pushed them up to 5 stars in my book!

These might very well be the best bagels in ATL, especially if you are a fan of New York style bagels. Their bagel and cream cheese flavors are top notch. And make sure to get a bialy bomb, they are like bagels with the cream cheese already inside. They also offer a wide variety of delicious looking pastries and coffee of course.

When you go, expect to be there a very long time. They have only one person taking orders and my impression is that the ordering system is complicated so as a result you should expect to be there for at least 30 minutes unless you get there right as they open.

They DESPERATELY need a secondary order system, be it someone with an iPad or online ordering. If it wasn’t for the ordering process this review would be five stars, the bagels are that good.

I think all the bad reviews on wait time are people ordering 10 bagel sandwhiches which do take time... but could be wrong. I got there on a Sunday at 8:15am (early just to be sure to give myself time in case it did take 30-45min+) ordered half a dozen bagels, grabbed a container of cream cheese and was out the door in 10 minutes (there were 3 people in front of me). Granted there was a longer line after that, but nothing crazy. 10/10 bagels, service and vibes. I will be back!! :)

If you want amazing bagels, friendly stuff and flavors that will make you come back the Bronx Bagel Buggy is it. We got four bagels and all of them were amazing. The rosemary see salt was fabulous. We are so excited to go back to try more flavors.

I've missed bagels since moving from NJ, and I'm glad I found this shop. Showed up around 7:15 Sunday morning. Small line, but only a 7-10 min wait. My suggestion, look at their website and know what you want before you go in. Order quickly, and slice your own bagels at home, lazies. The shop is great, it's the overly needy customers that make the line drag 🤷🏼‍♀

Congratulations to Julie & Steven on their immediately popular brick and mortar bagel shop! I stopped by early on Sunday morning, & there was soon a line out the door behind me. What an amazing show of community support for a new, small business! The guests in line were friendly & understanding that The Bronx Bagel Buggy is a new business that has hit the ground running! The bagels are awesome & worth the wait!!
