I have been going here for the past year and I have never been disappointed. The food is always phenomenal and so is the service. Lisa at the front is absolutely wonderful. Always makes sure I am taken care of and always has a smiling face. Love this place and the people who run it!

Awesome… sandwiches!
The place is running since 1946 and you can see why. Amazing meat sandwiches like roast beef, tuna, I personally tried the pimento cheese sandwich was was nice. Even the fish filet.
The sides have coffee, onion rings, fries as well served along with pickles.

They have a small lunch buffet too.

Overall a very nice restaurant and enjoyed the food.
They take catering and party orders too!

We had breakfast. Western omelet and eggs over easy. Grits and toast. All was good. Cashier was friendly and even bused our table (apparently guests normally bus their table). Lots of SC football pictures adorn the walls. Nice little place off the beaten path.

First time here and it was great! Cool little locally owned spot, I think they've been around for something like 75 years!! Awesome. I got the western omelet with hash browns and a side of pancakes and it was exactly what I wanted. Pancakes were dense, I like em that way, flavorful and the omelet was just the right amount. I'll definitely check it out again; maybe french toast next time??!

I've passed by this place so much and we finally decided to stop and have lunch here. New favorite lunch spot for sure! It's such a cute spot, and the burgers were EXCELLENT. We both got a bacon cheeseburger basket with fries and onion rings. I love onion rings and these were great. We will definitely be coming back here!

We have been coming to Mathis for years for our sandwich trays, we have never had a problem the sandwiches are always a hit at any family function. The people are so friendly and nice.

A fun breakfast or lunch place. It kind of replaced the similar place we left in Marietta, GA: Biscuits and More. Can't wait to bring my kids here who loved Biscuits and More.

This has to be one of the most underrated restaurants in the Columbia SC area!! Really good pimento cheese, great Burgers 🍔, really, really great fried chicken 🐔🍗!! And if you like chocolate 🍫🫕 brownies theirs are second to none!! I cannot wait to go back!!! love it!!

My first time here . I had a fish fillet sandwich and it was delicious. The girl at the counter was so sweet she gave us a free cup of tea that made our day even way better .

Food and price were really good. Service was ok. Drawings from children made me happy.

I call and get a western omelet almost every morning. Why? Well because it's pretty good, pretty big, and a pretty price. I don't "love" the hashbrowns but others do so that's probably just me. They aren't bad, I just like mine kinda crunchy.... I still eat them..... mainly because I'm fat and it's on the plate. Don't judge me.

Nice little sandwich diner. My first visit. I asked the cashier what the popular sandwiches are and she said the pimento cheese burger and the chicken salad sandwich. I went with the pimento cheese burger all the way with onion rings. Burger was good. A little thin, but tasty. I think they come off the griddle. Onion rings were well done, crispy, and served hot. Over all, I’d say it’s good.

Great food! I had the roast beef sub and it was delicious, plus the wait was less than 10 minutes.

Food, catering. Buffet, while small, is always good. If you're been to the Master's, then try their Pimento Cheese, Chicken, and Egg salad sandwiches. You will not be disappointed. Wonderful place to eat

Great place to eat in Irmo. This is a place for homestyle cooking. Love this place, it is a place you need to try.

I love Mathias party tray. Their chicken salad sandwiches are always a hit with my family.

Very good. I had the steak and swiss sub, all the way, and fries. Imagine a Philly cheesesteak (hot) without the peppers and onions and the fixings of a sub. It was great. My wife had the ham and Swiss sandwich with chips, and said it was very good. Have heard this place advertised on 93.1 fm (the Lake ) and decided to try it out. If you haven't tried them do so.

Excellent breakfast buffet on Saturdays and daily lunch buffet. Highly recommended
