J. Alexander's Restaurant

One of our favorite places to eat, no matter where we are. The food & service is always superb. Edited to add- the Cajun Mahi Mahi today is my favorite ever! It’s a must try when it’s on the menu!!

The food and drinks were excellent. The waiter I had, he was so good and friendly.

Great restaurant to meet friends and enjoy a delicious meal. We shared the grilled artichokes, sooo good. I had the Ahi tuna salad and when I wanted to modify our waiter had no issues making it just the way I wanted it. Husband got the red snapper and said it was very tasty. Our waiter was super attentive and we will definitely be back

Great dinning experience for a date night. It’s a pleasant atmosphere that is more on the semi-formal side of dining. The prime rib has a great seasoning to it, the salad was colorful and tasty, the old-fashion was delicious. The only uninspiring item was the bread with butter… it was fine, but seemed out of place when compared to the other items. My dinner date, unfortunately was not able to get the roasted chicken as she had ordered because they ran out. Her 2nd choice of tenders was good, but we will have to comeback for the oven chicken. The Mac and cheese was a great side choice also.
Would recommend this place and we will be back.

I was in the area for a work event and took my coworkers here for a dinner. We were supposed to be 12 but grew to about 18 and they accommodated us and gave us a great experience. The manager and server were outstanding and made us feel so welcome. We only had one server for the group and you would have thought we had an entire staff. We didn't wait for anything and she didn't miss a beat. Chanel, thank you for taking such great care of us. Everyone had a great time and many had never eaten at J's. You are great and we will definitely be back when in Atlanta for work.

We went to J. Alexander's for my daughter's birthday and the food was so delicious and flavorful. I ordered the ribs and mac-n- cheese. The meat on the ribs was so tender and falling off the bone. Their signature rib sauce was the best I ever had. The mac-n-cheese had a very good creamy sauce to it and a breaded crusted top with a little crunch. We definitely will be returning to dine in!

I give this place 5 stars you do have a reservation or you'll be waiting. My waiter Joshua T was very polite and patient. He recommended the Steak Maui, Red River Chili,calamri,carrot cake,key lime pie. To bad I don't have a steak house like this back home I would be a regular I came from Irving Tx just to try this place out.

This specific J Alexander’s was by far the best I’ve ever been to. The costumer service was outstanding Michael who happened to be my waiter was very personable and very knowledgeable. My 6 year old fell in love with the food and the restaurant’s atmosphere, which means a lot to me. I highly recommend it. They happen to be the only one serving pumpkin pie, which was my child’s request for dessert.

My husband and I came here for lunch and it was incredible! We had the smoked salmon dip as an appetizer, and the for entrees the prime rib and baby back ribs. Every bite was more flavorful than the last. You MUST ask for Charles to be your waiter. His service is unmatched and he will go above and beyond for you and your party.

Zack was a great server. Food was not as good as expected. Pictures will show what we had for dinner.

Tiana our server was excellent! High energy and very sweet. Attentive but not intrusive. As always food did not disappoint and the carrot cake was to die for! Highly recommend!

What ever you do get the pumpkin pie! Out of the world good!

Went here on a Friday night for a birthday dinner. It was not crowded either 😁 I had a reservation and that went very well. We had a mojito and a glass of Honig Sauvignon Blanc. Our waitress was really nice and made us feel comfortable. I personally liked the vibe of J. Alexanders. We had steak and it was cooked perfectly. 10/10! Loaded smashed potatoes were good as well. We definitely enjoyed ourselves and will be back again.

I love this restaurant so much. I’ve been to one in FL before, but this was my first time to the one in ATL. The food was great as always and our server was amazing! Will definitely come again.

Shanale was a excellent waitress. We dined as a party of four. We had the Rotisserie Chicken, Cajun Drum, Salmon, and Crispy Chicken platter. I enjoyed the flavor of the Rotisserie and my brother said it was his first time having the Drum fish and he really enjoyed it. The Smashed Potatoes were also a hit!

Shanale suggested dessert and we decided on the Carrot cake which is served warm and enough to feed our party of 4!

I 100% recommend the food and the service provided was excellent.

🍴 After growing up going to J's in South Fl, I was estatic to find out that there was a J Alexander's here in Atlanta, when we moved here.

We more recently tried the J's here in Atlanta and it did not disappoint! Our Dinner was perfection👌, the spinach quesso dip was dreamy, the Ahi Tuna was light & fresh, we had great wine, the energy in the place was excellent with romantic music and lighting and our waitress was absolutely fantastic which made for a really great date night!

This was by far the best experience I ever had. My fiance made reservations here for my 34th birthday. Im so glad he did. The food, drinks and service was beyond my expectations! Thank you!!! 😊

This is my favorite restaurant! There is nothing on this menu I haven't tried and thoroughly enjoyed. My favorite dish is cajun trout over a bed of rice and broccoli with a side of remoulade sauce. I requested take out but since my order wasn't ready, I ordered a cocktail. Oh my god, twist my arm JA..when my food was ready I decided to enjoy my cocktail and food at the bar (Covid friendly setup bar).

Customer service was great. Clifton our server was absolutely fantastic. He took his time in recommending items on the menu. He answered all of our questions. A plus for Clifton is that he labeled our to go boxes with the date and what's in the box. I had the grilled salmon with black beans and rice(I didn't eat the beans). I also had the carrot cake. Omg it was so delicious. My brother had the BBQ baby back ribs and his gf had the ny strip steak. We also did the deviled eggs(too much onions inside) and calamari(too much black pepper) as appetizers. The prices were reasonable. I would definitely eat at this location again.

There was a 20 minute wait w at least 15 open tables....not being in the restaurant industry this ivory confusing. Appeared that they were not prepared for Super Bowl weekend. The server was very friendly and the food as expected....very clean and bright atmosphere.
