I ordered takeout from here for the first time today. It exceeded my expectations. I got the fried chicken, Mac n cheese, and collard greens. I was not prepared to fall in love with the fried chicken but it was perfectly seasoned and perfectly crispy, even after I drove 20 minutes home. The collard greens were so good and flavorful. I will be a repeat customer. 10/10

Some of the best comfort food I have ever had. Everything was really fresh and delicious. The Mac and cheese was my favorite. We will deff be back to try more soon!

This is my new “go to” place for soul food. The sweet heat wings were great. Seasoned to perfection. The cabbage was “out of sight”. The next time I don’t feel like cooking I will definitely go to Soul in a Bowl. Oh and the lemon cake was outstanding.

Picked up take out and it didn’t disappoint. EVERYTHING was fresh and delicious!! I had the fried chicken tenders with the sweet heat sauce, mac & cheese and collard greens, plus the banana pudding. Total YUM! I will definitely be a repeat customer!!

Ordered for the first time today and it did not disappoint. The portions are huge and the food is so flavorful. They forgot the banana pudding and when I called the guy came to deliver it for me and even threw in a extra one which was excellent and very generous. Thank you!

The food selected (seasonings and proportions) was excellent. Well worth the trip and price. Wow. Forget traveling to Albany and Troy, NY for authentic and superior southern cooking. It's finally here right here in Cohoes, NY on White St.

My two y/o said delicious for the first time because of how good that Mac and cheese is!! I had the sweet heat wings and I can’t praise them enough. The wings were crispy, spicy, sour, sweet and packed with seasonings and flavor. After a rough day this is exactly the comfort food I needed. Soul in a bowl is definitely gonna be first on the roster for take out from now on! You guys made a stay at home mom and a picky toddler VERY happy today <3

Don’t go anywhere else for fried chicken! Perfectly crispy, seasoned so well and tastes even better with the Sweet Heat sauce. Service was outstanding, everyone was so friendly and our food was hot and ready for pick up so fast. New favorite spot! Can’t wait to try everything else on the menu!

There is no surprise this place is consistently 5 stars, i have never had a bad meal from them. Small husband wife duo that knows how to make a good meal! Got a few trays of mac n cheese on short notice for a party and everyone loved it! They are consistently great, i just say call ahead if you're in a rush cause all orders are made on the spot if you dont want to wait. Do not second guess this place order NOW

I had the golden BBQ chicken dinner. Also had fried fish and banana pudding. When I say they deserve 5***** yes absolutely the food is amazing. Everything was delicious and they give a good size portion. Try them just once, you will not be disappointed.

Great experience as soon as I walked in. Jay greeted me and offered me a look at his menu. The place smells amazing. I had the fried haddock cabbage and Mac and cheese. May I Say On Point. Every Bite. 5 Stars to the chef out back. I didn’t get to see her but you have a great product and I’m spreading the good word. The food was so good it didn’t survive to take a pic. I will be a regular and so should you after you read this.

Amazing food! The chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy, the mac and cheese was rich and delicious, the YAMS. Oh goodness the yams! Will definitely be making this a regular place to eat.

Head on down to White Street in Cohoes and try this great food. Had the haddock, yams, collard greens, and mac & cheese. Lemon cake for dessert. All was very good. Portions are huge, so definitely enough for two people.

Everything on the menu is worth I try. The fried fish is almost my go to and how can you go wrong with some wings? If you have a sweet tooth, I recommend the lemon cake.
