This place is a mess. That being said, there’s purpose to this what some might call disarray. It’s to make it totally uncomfortable when “digging”. That’s what “record snobs” or budding DJs call it when looking for some “wax”. I will never get the English speaking world all praise Thetan! Am I doing that right? I’m new into Scientology. Mostly cuz I wanna grind on Tom Cruz’s fire crotch😙😎🔥🩲
That’s an emoji representation of someone (Who may or may not be myself and Tom Cruise in his famous Wayfar’s from”Risky Bussinesses” with fire and green briefs. Q up Bob Seger !🤢🤮🤑🤮😵🤤☠💀👻

Looking for a top-notch jazz record store? Look no further than Groove Yard, or as I like to call it, Jazz Yard! The store's collection is heavily focused on jazz, making it a must-visit spot for any jazz aficionado. While the pricing can be somewhat inconsistent, you're bound to come across some fantastic deals if you're willing to hunt for them. While the store may not feature an extensive selection of high-end, original items from the 1950s, it's a superb destination for discovering new jazz recordings and expanding your collection. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by Groove Yard for any jazz lover looking for their next favorite album.

Great little shop packed with gems alot of hard to find items. Lots of Mofi analog productions type of items. I blew my budget in a short amount of time but what I got was awesome. Great place for jazz tell the owner what you are looking for and he will help very knowledgeable. I got a Pink floyd mofi for a very fair price .

Definitely one of the best vinyl stores. The stock is deep--literally, as you may have to move stacks or boxes to get to other records. The aisles are tight, and it can be clausterphobic and, perhaps given the seismic tendencies of California, a bit unnerving, but I never walk out without at least one purchase and frequently several I like the jazz selection, which seems all the more poetic given the store's location near the original Yoshi's spot (long since moved away), but there's also a solid pop/rock and folk section as well. He's rarely closed. Just make certain you book plenty of time to browse, delve deeply and consider those deep cuts, and try to avoid backpacks or aisle-clogging clothes. And though the place, straight out of the 20th century, might seem cash only, he accepts plastic, which has been good for him, but not so much for my bank account.

Wow, thie is the place to go when in Bay area!!! Yes yes yes.
Tons of records. Especially jazz in all directions, but also a lot of 70's rock and punk or indipendant. Bought a lot goodies for little money and had no bad surprisings in listening to them. Great guy. Great stuff. I would ever visit him again.

Had a good time there. Opens at 11 am.

Recommended store!!!

An expert library of jazz and blues with very high quality used vinyl from all eras. Small collection of rock and other genres is also always worth a look.

Great shop with fantastic records. Just wish I could browse the blues section, but it’s been covered with stacks of vinyl last two times I visited. Can’t sell records if people can’t look at em.
