Smokin Petes Barbecue

I drive by Smokin Pete's on my way to and from work. With a full parking lot every night and a growing reputation for good eats, my expectations were absolutely exceeded. I had a literal dream about the brisket that night, it was that good.
The entrance is wheelchair friendly and the property has indoor booths/tables, bar seating, outdoor picnic tables with plenty of corn hole boards to go around, and a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs. It really does feel like your bestie invited you over to hang out and eat.
We've been twice and have never met an unwelcoming face. We had an American Dream platter which fed our family of 4 just fine, and stopped by for loaded tots on a Friday night. Everything excellent, and the drink selection is lovely. Wish I could eat here daily.

This is a fantastic BBQ joint. Nothing fancy. Just ordering at the bar and then pick it up after your little buzzer goes off. But nobody is going there for super fast service. They're coming here for amazing BBQ and Tots.

The staff was super friendly and the food and beer selection was top notch. If you're in this area and you want some delicious food, definitely stop here. Perfect for after a wine tour, fishing, hiking, or just when you have the munchies. Get the tots! And if they have the brisket birria tacos... buy as many as you can! The wings are stellar too. I have the hot garlic Buffalo and they were perfect.

I wish I lived closer to this place, but I'll be back over and over again.

I found this nice local bar/BBQ on my travels in the Finger Lake region. What a wonderful find. Nothing fancy. But the food was outstanding. The decor was your typical local kind of feel. I like that though. I have gotten great food and drinks in these types of places.

They have a decent size bar. You stand in a line at the corner of the bar to place your order for food and drinks. They give you the round pager to let you know when your food is done. Meanwhile you can find a seat. There was a line (good sign). It moved quickly. When your pager lights up and beeps, you proceed to pick it up at a window/pass through. There are plenty of condiments, napkins, plastic ware, etc. here.

The ribs are to die for!! They have a rub on them. The ribs & brisket I got were prepared by wood fire. It had this wonderful Smokey flavor.
Don’t know about the drinks though. Just had a water.

It is a decent size place. Seating in front and a back room too. Outside area with seating was great. Corn hole out there.

If you like barbecue, I highly recommend Smokin’ Pete’s if you are in the area.

Standing out back, fire pit ripping, with a view of Seneca lake glistening in the sun while sampling delicious brews...doesn't an American bald eagle fly overhead! Had 3 different styles of smoked wings for the win but can't wait to cruise back and sample the new summer menu. 🔥

We were looking for a new spot to try for dinner and decided to stop at Pete's. We were NOT disappointed. Loaded tots with brisket -AMAZING! Pulled pork sandwiches were so good we didn't want to set them down. Smoked chicken wings were the best we've ever had and the American white sauce needs A LOT OF ATTENTION because it was DELICIOUS! DEFINITELY WILL BE BACK on our next trip to the lakes! A must stop if you love BBQ!

Their food is so good! I love the atmosphere as well. I can’t wait to go back! We had the loaded tots, brisket sandwich, the Keuka, and side of Mac salad. Absolutely mouthwatering. I’m getting the wings next time!!

The food was delicious especially the Alabama White Sauce wings and banana pudding dessert. Turkey was flavorful and the pork tots are always a favorite of mine. Great selection of beer and service was friendly and fast. Can't wait to come back.

Smokin Pete's is a great barbecue restaurant with a wide variety of delicious food. The wings are smoked then fried, making them crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The Loaded Tots are smothered in pulled pork, cheese, and BBQ sauce, and the Smokehouse Tacos are packed with smoked pork, homemade slaw, and BBQ sauce. I also tried the Campfire Beans, which were some of the best beans I've ever had.

The service at Smokin Pete's is excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. There is a large interior dining room with a bar, as well as a large patio with a fire ring and TV.

I highly recommend Smokin Pete's to anyone looking for a great barbecue meal. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is relaxed. I will definitely be back again.

Food was made fast, about a ten minute wait time. We ordered the pretzel bites, loaded brisket tots, beans and birria brisket tacos.

Wanted BBQ for lunch on our week trip to the Finger Lakes. Liked the reviews for it and decided to give it a try. Didn't open until 4PM on Friday and we arrived early and we weren't they only ones to do that, which was a good sign to start. Lots of choices on the menu. I got the brisket sandwich, my wife got pulled pork on flour tortillas and we got sides of cole slaw and tater tots. Everything was excellent. Fresh, homemade, very good. The brisket didn't need any sauce, it was that good, but I tried some any way. The only complaint I have is that we were on vacation and can't go back any time soon. 🙂

First time at Smokin' Pete's after hearing about it around town, and the hype is real! We got a few things to try, and everything was excellent. Can't recall ever having a brisket that so easily fell apart with a fork (so much so that it was difficult to keep on the fork to eat!), and the ribs fell straight off the bone, fully clean. The wings had a great smokiness to them and the Alabama white sauce was a perfect compliment. We got sides of the tater tots and garlic parm salt potatoes and recommend both, and the cornbread is a must-try (especially the whipped honey butter on top). My only (minor) complaint food-wise is that the brisket was slightly drier than I would have expected given its tenderness, but a touch of BBQ sauce on top and this was made irrelevant.

Super chill atmosphere, solid beer selection, superb bourbon selection, and top-notch BBQ that rivals the best in the region - highly recommend!

We loved everything about this place. The food was delicious, staff was friendly, and the overall experience was great. We will be back soon. Highly recommended. The brisket burger was the best I've ever had.

The wings are amazing and the pulled pork is the best I’ve ever had! I love the penny bar and the disco balls with the plants in them. All the staff was super friendly and the merch is awesome! Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area. Best BBQ in NY! I’ll be back!

This place knows what they are doing!! My wife and I stopped in on a Saturday night , it was busy but the service was moving along . We ordered brisket , ribs , cornbread , campfire beans , broccoli salad , Mac salad , garlic Parmesan salt potatoes , and of course brisket loaded tots . It was amazing the only complaint I have is why does this place not have a spot in Rochester ? Ribs were perfect not sloppy or Tough. Brisket was tender , and all the sides were so good ! My wife and I loved the loaded tots . And the cornbread was the best I have had out of a lot of bbq joints . The bourbon selection was crazy , best I’ve seen ! Service was fast and clean , and the outside area had the best hang out Vibe ! Go Pete ! Go Bills!

Nice bar good chicken wing good tater tots if you want good cheese with your tots ask for the smoked gouda and really good rootbear

A long wait (45 minutes) at 7:30 on a Saturday, but really incredible loaded tater tots with brisket and a great vibe. Definitely recommend visiting for dinner or lunch if you’re in the are!

Love their smoked meats! I had the Petes Platter. Broccoli salad is the best. I took half of the platter home for another meal.
I did not care for the lack of wait staff and the new 'line at the bar' approach to order. I get that it's tough to find restaurant employees these days, though.
The only thing that I would suggest is if you have the front door open for the order line, and the AC is on inside the restaurant, it defeats the purpose of the AC. It was unbearably hot inside the restaurant (unless you get an open table near the back) when we visited-for both staff and customers.

First visit for us tonight. I had the biria tacos and they were fabulous. My husband had the ribs and he couldn't praise them enough. Thank you for a great evening.
