Classy Hippie Tea Co

Alright this will be a lengthy review so I’ll split it into sections:

Food- so far I’ve only had the cinnamon roll and the chicken/rice dish, both were amazing. The rice had a lot of garlic, which was perfect for me and the cinnamon rolls are made in house! I look forward to trying the rest of their food, as I come here quite often.

Drinks- alright, so I get the London fog latte with oat milk every time I come here, and actually just bought 2 ounces of his lavender infused earl grey tea leaves, but I’ve also tried a sip of someone else’s coffee here and the quality is far beyond most places I’ve been to. I’m definitely looking forward to trying the rest of the teas, especially now that I have those leaves to make my favorite order at home!

Service- in all honestly, the wait times are a bit long, but that’s what happens if you want quality food and drinks. The owner is super friendly, and is kind to all customers.

Atmosphere- the music is good and the people are even better. There are a lot of regulars, and the owner is fast to have good rapport with everyone who comes in. I bring my infant with me regularly, and everyone shows us kindness. I meet my queer crochet group and we are able to talk freely, which is a lovely thing.

Overall, this is a lovely spot that does wonderful things for our community while providing great food and drinks.

I came in today for the sip & tea wellness event. I was invited by friend Valencia. I got to meet Leo. Was my first time & I learned so much about Tea! Super good tea & super yummy food

Wonderful place to eat, great teas. My favorite is the banana Jack tea. ON ice. They have the fresh tea leaves that they brew from... easy on the wallet also.
They have multiple events that go on during the week, always enthusiastic and accessible. Food is amazing as well. Chill environment, always come in on wends evenings,

Go just go. I found this place by luck. I was looking for a place to study before my test. Google took me here.
The ambiance is calming, which I needed cause I was stressing over this test. This is a real tea shop, not play tea party, meaning they place selected loose leaf tea in a bag and steep it, it is not a concentrated flavored liquid from a pump. They are preserving tradition, quality, and value. I know some may not understand this, and that's ok. I consulted with the gentleman behind the counter about my drink selection prior to placing my order at the standing tablet. Staff is knowledgeable about various teas along with health benefits and properties. While I was waiting for my tea with tumeric to steep, the Tea Sommelier brought me a clear glass or warm freshly juiced grapefruit juice with cinnamon and a shot of chlorophyll. I understand grapefruit can interfere with certain medication, this is not an issue for me. This drink changed my mind about grapefruit and I have incorporated it into my daily routine since. I ordered a chai for a subtle pick me up as opposed to my usual body jolting coffee. The cardamom wasn't too overpowering, cinnamon was subtle, I could def taste the ginger.
Every patron was offered a warm greeting followed up with small talk about drink preferences, today's agenda, past event, etc. This is the Tea shop version of the show Cheers where everyone knows your name and if they don't, they will before you leave.

I attended their tea service event and it was fantastic. Leo, the owner, was engaging and a wonderful host. The tea and food were perfect, but what sent this over the top was the amazing sense of community and hospitality. Everything was carefully crafted and each course had an amazing story to go with it. The tea and food was high quality, and the vibes were immaculate. Definitely check this place out.

I enjoyed a beautiful experience at Classy Hippie Tea with Leo this evening. Our support group was given an amazing experience pairing his tea with food.
Leo is a true believer in what we put into our bodies and receiving the healthiest out come. His experience is apparent in his presentation. It was a five star experience!!

The biscuits and gravy are amazing with sausage if you ever in the Sacramento area you need to stop by this place. I highly recommend great,service great food great vibe.

Classy Hippie is my go-to for tea and local goodies! Over the years Leo has become a great friend, all because of the warm energy he shared on my first visit as I was moving to the area and excited to explore my new neighborhood. While everything has evolved over the past few years, I’ve always been able to count on high quality and delicious teas served with love!

ok, first off this place is my happy place.
the food here is absolutely amazing, it nourishes the soul. for the amazing quality of the food the wait is worth it. today i shared some chili n it was seasoned to perfection, the texture was on point, n it was still steaming when we got to the end of the bowl.
every time i come here i always get an iced vanilla latte with oat milk n it's crafted to perfection not too sweet not to bitter, n it's the perfect amount too.
leo the owner makes sure his customers are happy n well fed with good food. he interacts with his customers quite a bit to make sure everything is good n well taken care of. he has mastered the craft of customer service, kudos to him.
the atmosphere here is so calming, the music is super chill n overall the vibes here are immaculate, n so welcoming.
if you are very down in oak park make sure you stop by n get your filling, i promise you won't regret it.

I attended a private event at The Classy Hippie and was absolutely amazed at the knowledge I gained about the healing property of tea and even how to pair it with foods, who knew? Leo, the owner was very knowledgeable about the different properties of tea and shared a wealth of information on the subject. I'm not usually a tea drinker, I prefer coffee, but afterwards I purchased several blends of tea and will be enjoying it more often. Thank you Leo and Rico for hosting us. PS Leo I'm still waiting for those recipes. 😀

There’s so many elements to experience here and it’s truly a relaxing, wholesome, and vibrant space to eat, meet, work, or write. Leo and his staff were incredibly attentive and thoroughly passionate about providing amazing quality meals, beverages, and holistic herbal resources! The wings were amazing and the matcha is made to creamy perfection! Truly a one stop shop for nourishment

I stopped by today looking for a relaxing place to work and I was very happy with my choice. Leo assisted with my tea choice as I decided to mix two blends. I have seen the tea blends all over the city and had no idea the shop was so close to my house. I will be back again. It was wonderful to see folks drop by and excellent service given to all.

My spouse and I went to their tea ceremony/tasting while visiting Sacramento and had a phenomenal time. The teas were amazing and the pairings really highlighted the complexities of the teas. Leo and Rico were both exceptional hosts. They went out of their way to make everyone comfortable. I learned so much from this experience and definitely went home full!

Listen, this place is such a hidden gem, it doesn’t try to be more than it is with flashy names or super complicated menu items. It’s really good food for your heart. It’s reasonably priced and it’s not super greasy and forsure has this “home made” feel to it.
Dine in is definitely the way to go, the cook/owner is super down to earth and friendly. Good food get you through the door but the great service and atmosphere is what keeps you. SHOUT OUT TO LEO, gave me chilli on the house.
Service can be a little slow when it comes to the food cook time but that’s only because it’s usually only one person working, which is the owner, Leo. He definitely does his best to make a connection with the customer though, which makes up more then enough for it.

First time stopping by today and i will be back soon!! Leo was a super awesome host and showed us how to get our bulk tea and then to top that off we had literally the most amazing latte ever and some fun elderberry and chlorophyll shots. There are so many good things here so go with some time to spare so you can look around and smell all of the things. 10/10 Leo thanks you for the hospitality

Nestled in Broadway Coffee is Classy Hippie Tea Company, which is an absolute gem for tea lovers. The folks there? Tea wizards! Their passion and knowledge about teas are off the charts, and stepping into the shop is truly stepping into a cozy cafe community. It's kind of like it's the Cheers of cafes, where everyone knows your name

As an herbal tea aficionado, it was thrilling to see how the walls are absolutely lined with glass jars of so many different types of tea - more varieties than the ones listed sold on their website. Some of the jars (look behind the counter) are single-herb teas, which is rare thing to see in a shop like this

It's the sort of place where you leave not just with tea, but with a revitalized spirit thanks to the warmth and expertise of a staff that seems truly happy to help. A++ all around

Such a great place! Full of warmth and community, and great coffee, tea, and food, too! My breakfast was delicious. Leo and friends are always helpful and genial. Classy Hippy is one of my go-to places. I visit nearly daily and it always gets my morning off right.

Classy Hippie Tea Co is a place for your soul to recharge. You can explore different parts of the world and the culture through tea. Lunch is awesome too. It fuels your body without leaving the after-effects of toxins of chemicals-treated food. My favorite lunch is the spinach wrap with a greens salad.
