Gone Fishing Colorado

Evan and Anne were amazing in orchestrating 8 float trips and 2 wading trips on the same day. 21 total anglers in our group (with 15 having no experience) and it went off without a hitch. We highly recommend Gone Fishing and will be using them again.

Evan took me and my mentee (part of the buddy program) on an evening wade trip right after school. My buddy had the biggest smile on his face and Evan took the time to actually teach him about the sport, etiquette, and trout. We all had the best time on the river and will definitely be seeking out Evans expertise and giving his referral for years to come.

Gone Fishing Colorado provided me with a great afternoon of floating and catching. Evan was my guide and he offered tips on presentation and constantly put me on the fish. This is a very professional outfit and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to have a good time catching a lot of trout.

Sam was an awesome guide, we will definitely be heading out on another trip soon! Evan was super helpful in getting a plan put together for what we want to accomplish this summer and making getting into the sport approachable and fun, and Anne has been great with communication from the office. Fished with Evan in July before the local runoff was done. He knew to put me on the Frying Pan because it was the least affected, and the fishing was fantastic once we found a third stretch of water and had the flies dialed in. Evan moved methodically and quickly and it turned into a 20 fish day in a 4 hour session. He is super friendly, cares deeply about his customers. Can not recommend him or his team more highly.

Justin at Gone Fishing the best. He’s super nice and a great teacher. I went fishing with him a bunch and caught tons of big fish. The last day we fished with streamers, which was tons of fun. Seeing the fish stalk the streamer is sick. If your in Aspen, definitely go fishing with Justin

I met Evan 2 years ago for my first ever fly fishing experience. He was such a great, fun and knowledgeable teacher. A few casts in and I was hooked! 😜 🎣

Had a GREAT time with Justin. He put me on a ton of fish, we caught a ton of trout and he was really easy to work with as a guide. I can easily recommend Justin and Evan at Gone Fishing Colorado.

Had a great Roaring Fork float trip with Evan back in September. He suffered through fishing with my buddy on his second ever fly fishing adventure and handled it like a pro. Evan fit right in with us two old dogs and knew exactly what he was getting in for and called it like he saw it, it was awesome. Oh, and he put us on some fish in challenging, low water conditions which is not easy. Five stars for Evan and GFC, we will be back my friend.

My son and I had a great time with Sam as our guide. The trip and coordination was really easy with Evan, and then the execution with Sam was great. Sam took great care of us, had everything we needed, and ensured we had a great experience. The equipment that he gave us was high-quality and easy to use. He gave us some simple instruction when we started and once we started applying it we immediately began catching fish. It was an idyllic day and Sam to us to a beautiful and quiet spot. We caught a bunch of fish a had a tremendous time in general. I would highly recommend reaching out to them in the future for a similar trip.

Nice fishing outfitter. These guys are pretty laid back which is what you want in fishing guides. The prices were reasonable and Justin put us on fish all day and worked really hard.

I have gone on several float trips with your company and this was probably my favorite yet!! I was so overjoyed to see my daughters and my parents out on the river as a family. I know it was a challenge to accommodate seniors and young girls for a day on the river, but your guides did so flawlessly!

Justin was incredible with my youngest daughter! She still talks about our fishing experience nonstop! I literally don't have enough good things to say about Justin. I felt like I spent the day on the water with an old friend.

Andrew was a perfect fit for my mom and older daughter! He never stopped being excited for them every fish that hooked up no matter the outcome and Sam still brags about catching a 21" rainbow!

Brady and my dad were also a perfect match. It had been 40 years since he moved away from Colorado and out to Cali, he believed he'd never fish again. He said is was the best b'day present he could have gotten!

Thank you so much for being so wonderful and caring so much for the people you guide. It's very special when you share it with people who can appreciate the entire experience for the beautiful thing it is. You showed us the way and we are grateful beyond words!

Definitely the best fly fishing you will find. Evan was my guide and this will be the best experience you will have in Colorado. I caught 5 in less than 10 minutes after he showed me how to do it. Do the float trip and get on the front of the boat. Its killer.

Went out to Aspen to spend time with my daughter on my wife’s birthday. Had no intention of doing any fishing , but decided at the last minute to do a float trip down the Roaring Fork . And man I am glad I did . The guys at Gone Fishing gladly fit me in and I had a blast . My guide was Justin . A super laid back and friendly guide . Really knows his craft . Had me on a fish in the first 5 minutes. Keep it going for the next 4 hours . Ended the day with a 20” fatty rainbow . I would highly recommend Gone Fishing Colorado .
