The Guest House Austin

One word: amazing! Our server, Lindsie, made great recommendations from drinks to food to dessert. The theatrical cocktails are very pretty, I recommend the tea party, which serves 2 and comes with a mini strawberry cucumber bunt cake and small tea cookies. I also recommend the spicy rigatoni and the apple endive salad. For dessert, the bananas foster is delicious if you enjoy rum in your dessert.

The Guest House is the perfect downtown spot for your next ladies night, with delicious bites, theatrical drinks, and elegant ambience.

Emma took care of us and was there to answer any questions we had and helped us with some dietary restrictions. She was so thoughtful and fun to have as our waitress.

Had an incredible date night at the Guest House. Their Theatrical drinks are the most FUN and TASTEY. The magic mushroom drink is a must. 🍄🍸

My husband got the Caviar toast as a starter and loved it. We both ended up going with the steak and it was to die for.

Our server, Amanda did an amazing job checking in on us throughout the night. Very down to earth and professional. 💕

Loved the Guest House! We sat at the bar and Josh F. helped gave us exceptional service. I have an egg and Dairy allergy and Josh was so patient and helpful in finding an option that I could enjoy. The chef even made a modification that allowed me to enjoy a burger. Food was delicious, the truffle fries are amazing. Atmosphere is super luxurious feeling and the presentation of the food and drinks are fun. I will definitely be back and can’t wait to bring out of town friends here.

Without a doubt, The Guest House offers the best ambiance in Austin, distinguished by its remarkable drink presentation. It attracts a chic and captivating crowd. We began our evening with a taste of the Guest House Margarita and "Magic Mushroom" cocktails at the bar. Although visually appealing, they were slightly mild in terms of alcohol content. Our experience improved significantly once we were seated and sampled the signature Mushroom Drink, which was not only delicious but also came with a captivating performance – definitely a highlight. The service experienced a slight delay, likely due to the restaurant's recent opening and high patronage at the time. We started with Steak Tartare and the Oyster Rawbar, both of which added to our delightful dining experience. For the main dish, we chose the Parmesan Truffle Fillet. It didn't top my list of best steaks, but considering its price, it was satisfactorily enjoyable, however it was not steak you may expect.

Later in the evening, the restaurant transformed into a bar club, complete with a lively DJ, after 11 pm. This place is highly recommended for those seeking an evening that combines exquisite dining with an energetic nightlife experience.

Guest House was delicious! We tried 2 theatrical cocktails and they were so fun! We also did a tasting and tried phenomenal dishes. Our favorite apps were the steak tartare, spicy rigatoni and the crudo. The main meal really stole the show with the most tender steak and very tasty salmon. The desserts were also unreal. Adrian was a fantastic server! Great for groups and such a lively environment. The perfect opportunity to get dressed up and enjoy a night out on the town! 11/10 would recommend.

Enjoyed our evening at Guest House. Food and cocktails are great. The food took some time, but we were not super hungry, so didn't mind the wait:) If we talk about ambiance, so probably the best in Austin now. Highly recommend visiting! P.S. perfect temperature at the restaurant:) because most of the places in Austin set their AC to freezing temperature!

Started off with the sexiest bread service I’ve seen. Beautifully crunch crisp brioche on the outside, flaky and buttery on the inside. Execution of dishes was on point and plates were colorful and balanced. The sticky toffee pudding with its nutty dark cake was insanely good. Loved the steak tartare on toast points topped with micro chives and aioli. All in all, an excellent meal from creative cocktails to knowledgeable service to well-executed dishes. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

I dined on March 2nd and had an INCREDIBLE experience! Our waitress, Amanda, was attentive, genuine and caring throughout our entire dinner. We had a big group and tried most dishes in the menu. The theatrical drinks, music and overall ambiance also enhanced the experience. I will be back!

The food was phenomenal and the music was amazing! Lucia was very knowledgeable and very attentive. We came to celebrate my friend birthday and the whole experience was magical to say the least! Plus their mash potatoes are to die for lol!

Lauren was a great friendly and timely server. All of our food and drinks came out in very timely fashion. Speaking of the food… it was delicious although on the expensive side. You really are paying a premium on atmosphere and eating with the “in” crowd.

AMAZING atmosphere. We started with the oysters (amazing) , scallops, and the lobster. For dinner we had parmesan crusted filet and scallops, with Mac and cheese and sweet potato. Everything was amazing. Thomas was our server and he was amazing with recommendations especially with wine recs! Definitely ask for him! Will be back :)

Absolutely gorgeous space, and the service was perfect- very attentive and friendly. The cocktails were whimsical and worth it. Steak tartare and mushroom pizza were our favorites.

I dinned here on February 26th and I fell in love with this restaurant. The atmosphere is modern but with nice touches of elegance and greenery. The table settings were adorable! The service was amazing, Amanda took care of my table and was really nice and offered suggestions on menu items, showing a high level of professionalism. The drinks were pretty good over all, and the food was amazing! I got to try a bunch of dishes and I highly recommend the beef tartar, spicy rigatoni, kale cesar salad, and the island salmon. Each dish was unique and equally as tasty. Highly recommend this spot for a nice upscale date night!

Had a 10/10 experience! Thomas was an incredible server and recommended all the best apps, entrees, and deserts. I recommend this place to anyone visiting or who has not come in before! Loved it so much.

Staff was wonderful, attentive, and informative. I had a great experience last week, and ended up going 3 nights in a row. The bread is absolutely amazing, and their Spicy Rigatoni starter was to die for. I ordered way too many Bandersnatch cocktails for me to count. The environment is very welcoming with great DJs playing. Walked out with a fully belly. If you’re looking for a spot to eat at or even stop by the bar Guest House is the place to be.

Everything we ate was phenomenal! Shout out to Jordan for making it such a great experience and for amazing suggestions. Would highly recommend tugley woods, the magic mushroom, Parmesan crusted filet with pomme puree, scallops, and the heirloom apple and endive salad. Don’t miss out on the sticky toffee cake for dessert!

I was extremely impressed with guest house, for being new the service and atmosphere was already top tier. Music seemed on point for the type of guests that were there, it encouraged a fun environment over a quite formal one which I appreciate. The drinks I had were unique and a refreshing change from classic cocktail and the typical cocktails you see in Austin. I look forward to see what new drinks y’all come out with I hope you keep the trend of keeping the cocktails unique

The food was insanely delicious! The salad and bread were both seriously some of the best I have had in my life, I would also recommend the steak over the chicken. The sauce on that steak is really amazing

What I liked most about guest house is that it felt like elevated American food with a twist. However the style of courses and the way they came out felt like a Eastern Europe experience or a family meal. You don’t get you own bite per say, you share a plate which can be great if people you are with are used to that but some Americans def need guidance. I do wish there were more serving utensils available on a couple of the courses because I felt like some of my party was uncomfortable serving themselves or using their utensils while the rest were a bit more used to shareable plates and kinda just went for it.

All around 10/10 very impressed already and can’t wait to return soon!

What an amazing dining experience!

The food is outstanding, the restaurant is beautiful and the whole experience was only made better by our fabulous server Odalys. We will be requesting her on our next visit for sure!

The BREAD, oh the bread 🤤 and the Pork Chop was perfection on a plate!

nice restaurant, friendly staff . All dishes and cocktails have an excellent presentation and a wow effect. After ordering an appetizer , you will be full lol, it's very tasty 😋
