Ken Stanton Music

I selected Ken Stanton music to take my Taylor 416CE for repairs to address an issue with it's pre-amp (ES 1.0) that has been a problem from the time I bought it 13 years ago. They were professional and knowledgeable. Scott is a Taylor guy himself so i had no problem leaving it with them to make the changes . They outsource their Taylor work to a luthier by the name of Jacob Brown who picked up the guitar from the store that Wednesday , reviewed all of the possibilities with me by Friday , ordered the replacement parts , replaced my top 3 frets and redressed the rest of the frets and had it back to the store by the following Wednesday. He was communicative , he gave me regular progress reports by email and phone and wanted to be sure that all of the guitar's maintenance needs were met. Amazing customer service. If you come to this location ask Noah for some help. Today I came in looking for a guitar as a gift for someone. I have no knowledge about guitars but Noah was very helpful, he gave me his humble opinion/advice on guitars, overall a very good experience. Thank you Noah

The store, products, and customer service here is outstanding! I had a guy name Andres who helped me out with shopping for a Les Paul, and he was very cool, down-to-earth, friendly, and informative. He let me try as many guitars as I wanted to for as long as I wanted, and for as loud as I needed to truly test the guitars out.

Also the store is clean, organized, and they offer good prices and had a discount on their products that other stores did not have.

I highly recommend this store!

An unassuming exterior, but inside is a well stocked and clean store, with a competent and welcoming staff led by Skip Slaughter. I drove 2 plus hours from Anderson, SC because they had in stock the instrument I was interested in. They had it brought to the store on Friday so I could try it out on Saturday. Despite being already busy at opening, they were happy to see me and help me. After they let me play for an hour and finding a solid case for the bass I wanted, I happily purchased the instrument from them! Very different from those *other* big-box music stores! Thanks to everyone at the Stone Mountain location of Ken Stanton Music for a great experience! Peace and harmony dudes!

Was helped by an employee named Parker today in order to find a very specific guitar for a Christmas gift. It wasn't in stock so Parker patiently contacted the distributor and called me back twice to get me exact details. He then helped get the order inputted and let me know a delivery ETA. Awesome customer service, would highly recommend.

I have never had a bad experience there. Staff always helpful and quick to answer questions and will call someone else just to get an answer for you. They will also get items from their other locations brought over for you as well. A flute I wanted was in Marietta and I waited for one day for them to get it. I got the call the next day that it was ready at 2pm.

Gotta give equal credit to everyone at this stanton store for their great customer service which is something that has been hard to come by in this state for me since i moved here. Thank you to West (or Wes i think) for providing essential electric guitar knowledge before I made a purchase and even taught me how to tune by ear. Definitely coming back for more equipment in the future.

I cannot recommend this place enough. I made two purchases here in the past week and will be making a third next week. Scott helped me finance two guitars and went out of his way this morning to contact me to let me know they got in a hard shell case that is the match for my guitar. Overall highly satisfied and you guys have gained a customer for life

Andres was a great help today. I called the store to place a microphone on hold and he promptly asked for my name and placed it on hold for me.

I was also interested in buying a bass guitar but was unsure about which item to purchase. He provided me several options and provided his balanced opinion on each. I ended up going with the Fender Player Jazz bass. I'm pretty happy with my decision!

Taylor at Ken Stanton Music Stone Mountain is truly wonderful!! She made my shopping experience super easy today. She answered all of my questions, she knew exactly where to find the items that best fit my needs, and she made excellent recommendations based on her success and experience with similar projects too; as I was picking up a few items for a small podcast project. I have shopped here many times in the past, and I continue to be amazed. It is because of the wonderful people that work hard at this location first, trust me they have an amazing staff, and then of course the great music gear. They always have exactly what I need, and they are more than happy to help me get it as soon as possible if they do not have the item in stock. I am a customer for life! This is my local shop and I've bought a nice amplifier, rented my kid's violin, and pestered the staff almost weekly with my questions and requests to play various instruments. Everyone is friendly and helpful and the pricing is fair and reasonable. I also had some good repair work done through their subcontracted luthier.

I have to say, I have been coming to this music supply store for over 15 years and never one time have I left disappointed. The customer service and family environment they display here is absolutely exceptional. Pat, Parker and Andres and there’s a few others there I can’t remember the names. Thank you for all you do and your great service!

Scott was amazing. He got us set up with everything we needed. He was extremely experienced with all the equipment we needed. Have a question. Ask Scott. We use to shop guitar center. Not any more. They have the best prices in town. There staff is amazing also. Musicians should shop here. Our experience is awesome every time we shop here

Visited this store while vacationing during the holidays. Was hoping they could look at a new guitar I had bought (from elsewhere) and diagnose a problem. Scott was very friendly, gave me a free adjustment, and advised me on how to proceed with the instrument when I returned home.

Looking around the shop, they had some great instruments and gear. I’m a guitarist primarily, and noticed some great guitar deals and competitive prices. I will definitely visit again when I return to Stone Mountain, GA.

Small enough to not feel like a big box store, helpful and accessible staff. I always feel free to get lost, pick up a guitar, and nobody bothers me unless I want to. Very friendly and enthusiastic about music and their inventory. They have a great selection of really good instruments as well as affordable instruments, no junky inventory. I have bought several items here over the years, and I still use them all, guitars, cymbals, cables, etc.. I have trashed some strings though... Good prices compare with box stores and Amazon. Feels good to support local employees who seem to enjoy working there.

Had been in the market for a drum set for my son & I to goof around with. Wasted time on fb marketplace for 2 weeks...sellers not serious, not replying, irrational, not giving full info, etc... stopped in here today & found a new set for maybe $50 more than I could have found used. Staff was attentive, addressed my concerns, & I didn't have to go through all the rigamarole from marketplace. Thank you! Repeat customer!
