Oyster Bay Seafood Cafe

I love the atmosphere of this place. It brought chills down my spine; the food was delicious. I had Seafood Gumbo and Calamari. The Seafood Gumbo was amazing! The rice was a little chewy; I don't know if it was supposed to be like that or not, but either way, I enjoyed it immensely.

This place is really nice. It looks like a small tavern. It wasn't too crowded when I went. I ordered the crab dip, calamari, and Rockefeller oysters. I enjoyed the oysters more than the calamari. The crab dip was my least favorite appetizer. However, everything was good. My picture shows us eating almost have of the appetizer. I also ordered whiskey shrimp and my partner ordered the seafood pasta Alla vodka. My whiskey shrimp was delicious. The sauce was really good. It had bacon pieces and soft bread slices. My partner said the sauce to his seafood pasta was good. I had taste my sauce and his sauce and to me they taste the same. Didn't really see a difference other than this had linguine noodles and mines had no noodles but bacon and bread. I also had a side of beans and rice as a side. Wasn’t too crazy about it. The food overall was good and my one partner agreed and we will come here again.

Our shared dining experience was the calamari, bowl of the shrimp and lobster bisque, the monster platter, and a couple of beers.

The calamari and bisque were most excellent. While the swai (Vietnamese catfish), scallops, and shrimp were exceptionally tasty, the oysters could have been better. The potatoes (they refer to them as frys) were exceptional and actually potatoes slices that were seasoned, thin battered, and fried.. The coleslaw and hush puppies were very good as well.

Service was attentive, yet unobtrusive, as it should be.

A place to visit again when in the area!

Oyster Bay is located in DT Lawrenceville. There’s out front parking and you can park across the street.

Menu is consisted off oysters, fried seafoods, pastas and so much more. I enjoy everything I ate.

For starters, we got a dozen raw oysters and half dozen steamed. The oysters were plumped and fresh.

For my meal, I got the peel and eat shrimp and a side of snow crabs. All for $30 which isn’t too bad.
The fried fish and shrimp basket was pretty good too!

Our server was super attentive and nice.

The oysters are delicious. The Redfish Rockafella is a must try!

The food and the service was excellent. From the crab cakes to the Oysters, to the salad and the desert. If it wasn't so far away from me, they'd have a steady customer. I'm making my way back up there anyway. It's worth it.

I had the Cajun Salmon Pasta and it was cooked great! Jalapeño and cheese hushpuppies had just the right taste! Ribs were nice and tender! Stuffed flounder was delicious! Fried green tomatoes were great! Bread pudding was delicious! Oysters were good. Potato scampi was great!

Oyster Bay was outstanding! Everything that we had was delicious. The hostesses in the front were a little confused at first, but the issue was resolved quickly. We will absolutely be back and highly recommend this spot to friends.

The Oyster Bay Seafood Cafe is in a lively location with indoor and outdoor seating. Behind the restaurant, you can find paid parking through a QR code. Customer service is terrific, along with roomy seats. They only serve wine and beer, but the food is delicious. It is similar to a nice Mississippi restaurant. They know what they are doing in there, and you will be happy when you leave.

I have been a patron and have loved Oyster Bay and its sister restaurants, O'Shucks in Loganville and Winder, respectively, for many years. It was a treat to meet some colleagues for a lunch meeting here, and they all enjoyed a variety of fried fish and chips and fried shrimp and grouper baskets at the table with sides of coleslaw and added fried okra. They all raved at how delicious it all was, and I opted for the Grilled Salmon Tacos with a side of rice and black beans. Perfectly cooked and so delicious with the mango salsa. A perfect lunch and dinner spot and always a good meal with excellent customer service. Keep up the great work!

Great place to start enjoy great seafood and friends. Bartender very knowledgeable and made great suggestions. I will be back!!!

Oh my God when I tell you, the food is magnificent the text or the taste the smell I’m flabbergasted. This is my first time ordering from here and I can tell you I will be going back. I don’t even eat black beans , these black beans the taste was amazing I got the fish and chip also fish tacos, black beans, and rice coleslaw and everything was good.

2nd time here. 1st time inside. Had Gumbo the 1st time. This time had the fish tacos. Two come with rice and black beans combo. The tacos were a delicious. The service both times were great too. Will return to try other menu items.

Service was excellent... our server did a great job. The food was delicious and had a super reasonable price point. This place exceeded our expectations greatly... looking forward to returning soon!

I’ve written a review before but I love this place ! The baked oysters are so good and the whiskey shrimp but a bit pricey , on to go orders they add 10% gratuity . I love the waitress with the short blonde hair so sweet with a bubbly personality.

I had fish and oysters. Fish was the best thing on the plate. The cold slaw was really good. There is nothing wrong with the oysters. Fries are fries and I try to stay away from them.

Drove 51 miles because of the pictures but 20 mins away started reading reviews &they kept talking about how bad the service was with Sam,then as you know it guess who our server was but Sam. Let me tell you she had a smile on her face, gave super A1 service. She even apologized for others in the restaurant that wasn't acting like adults. Then the food came we had the crab cakes, baked oysters, oyster rockafella, and calamari that came with fried zucchini, squash, jalapenos, and lemons. Presentation spot on. We have truly found a getaway. Thanks Sam.

They are the best simple seafoods spot in Gwinnett. They are always quick and efficient with their service. There gumbo is the best gumbo in the WHOLE STATE!!! You will not find any other better than theirs, I promise you I’ve tired everyone’s. I’ve been going here since 2010. If it’s not Oyster Bay. I don’t want it!!!!

Food was amazing if you haven't been here you must try, the only downside is they dont have cocktails. Sorry it was so good I eat it all before I took a photo.

Always great food. Oysters are prepared nicely. The lobster ravioli actually has lobster in it! My coworker had a fish taco and it was a great portion size.
