This place is amazing! As an Asian City regular since i was a kid i was sad about the change but now i see it was much needed! The people are so kind, service is quick, and the food is great! It’s a great price for the amount of food you can get with the all you can eat. Portion sizes are perfect, not too big and not too small. The staff is very helpful, patient, and attentive. Decor is very beautiful and mellow. There is lots of menu options to choose from and this is a great place to try new things! I’ve been here many times before and will come many times again!

GREAT experience. This was our first time here and everything was amazing and fresh. The Harbor Bridge roll was delicious. The bathrooms were so clean and Sophia was attentive and helpful, even when my kids were talking her ear off. We will definitely return!!

My husband and I tried Umiya today. We ate from the $30 all you can eat menu. Excellent food and service. We enjoyed everything we tried. Alex was our waiter. He was professional, courteous and efficient. Nice restaurant/atmosphere.

Yummy!! This is my first time here since it was Asian City. Not knowing it’s under new ownership, we were completely blown away by the all you can eat, sushi! My husband and I had such an amazing time, and our waiter Jonathan was spectacular! Each order came out quickly and was beautifully decorated! We cannot wait to come back again.

My husband and I are obsessed with Umiya! The food is amazing. We go with the all you can eat sushi, but it comes with so many other great options to try as well. Truly everything we've tried we've loved! Their servers are great and always have great suggestions for what you should try. They also have a delicious hibachi as well.

Great Sushi Buffet and great price! I’ve been here twice since it remodeled (formerly known as Asian City) and the sushi has been consistently fresh. We had the salmon skin handrolls, tuna avocado handrolls, calamari and edamame appetizers, and the rest was sushi: fresh salmon, white tuna, tuna, eel. Food was great, staff was friendly, decor was nice and restaurant was very clean. Everything was amazing. Will be coming back!

We enjoyed dinner here last night and it was all around amazing. We did the all you can eat, and everything was so delicious and great quality. Some of our faves were the snowcrab salad, hibachi steak, combo fried rice, numerous rolls & tempura cheesecake. It was hard to keep track at a certain point - there were just so many good things! Our server, Rosie, was absolutely amazing, 11/10 service - she was just so sweet & patient! We loved her. The interior design is really cute with the cherry blossoms as well. You just need to follow the ground rules, come hungry, try to pace yourself & have a great time :) we look forward to coming back!

I have been to Umiya for both lunch and dinner for AYCE sushi and it has always been great. I like dinner a little more as it has a few extra choices from lunch but lunch definitely has a lot of options. I have never done the hibachi because I feel like I get my money out of the sushi.

Wow!!! Our new favorite sushi restaurant for sure!! It's a little pricey but worth every penny! We ordered from the all you can eat sushi menu $30 per person. It did not disappoint!! Highly recommend.

I'm really not sure how I haven't done a review here yet. I could have sworn I did the first time I went and it was awesome. Well here goes. I used to go The Chi out in the Woodlands for years any time I wanted sushi, that is until I found out Umiya was now all you can eat also. The first time I went was absolutely amazing. The server was very attentive, and friendly with great recommendations. The next part is where Umiya blows Chi away, and honestly the other 2 or 3 AYCE sushi restaurants I have tried, the food all came out fast and FRESH. Most of the restraunts that aren't a buffet seem to take a long time to prepare the fresh rolls or even something as simple as 20 pieces of sashimi, I have had it take 20 minutes for 1 roll and 20 tuna at Chi, but here my entire table (4 people) had thier appetizers and first round of orders in less than 15 minutes. We are talking about a total of 50 sashimi, 6 rolls, a crab salad, miso soup, and Crab puffs. I can honestly say I have now been here at least 9 times in the last 3 months and in all those visits have only had bad service 1 time and I have noticed in my last several visits that server isn't there any more. I also found out one of the times I went when it was very busy that my server was actually the manager just because he knew they were busy and he wanted to help cut down the line of people waiting for a table so he started taking them. Even on that extremely busy night I received awesome service and all the food was fast and tasted great. It says a lot to me when the managers see a problem and instead of blaming someone or ignoring it they step up and do the extra work. I can't recommend this place enough, and if you want to get a great server ask for Joseph, he's very attentive and has great drink suggestions.

I grew up loving this place and I was quite sad seeing that it was under construction for a bit. But overall, the food and everything was amazing. The portions are so much better and so much more flavorful. The staff had a positive attitude towards the guests here. I much prefer what they have going on now. The new management is great.

Loved the smoked salmon sushi and sashimi, saba/ mackerel, mango roll, gold point roll, sushi pizza, well... everything, really. Reasonable $30 eat all you can sushi. We used to drive to the Woodlands at Chi's but am glad to have Umiya nearby. Service and food presentations, besides the taste and umami, are awesome as well. Our new go-to sushi place. Highly recommended 👌

This is now my go to sushi restaurant. We did the all you can eat for $30 dollars and not only was the sushi tasty but it also had great presentation. We also enjoyed the hibachi meats, noodles, fried rice and deserts for one fair price. Everything was included. The menu of options was huge. Also loved the atmosphere and ambiance. Great for a date night or just out with the family. I will definitely be back!

Good as usual. Shaggy dog, mango delight, dragon rolls & masago sushi are our all time favorite.

Umiya is a restaurant that provides an excellent dining experience for sushi lovers. The establishment offers two types of menus - one à la carte and the other all-you-can-eat. Both menus offer excellent service and flavors. If you opt for the all-you-can-eat menu, you will not be disappointed with the service size, as it is generously portioned. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with murals and LEDs, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The servers are very enthusiastic and provide excellent customer service, making your visit a memorable one.
