Sunset Beach

One of my favorite beaches!! Beach is clean. Water is clear. Has benches to sit down and enjoy the sunset if you don't want to sit in the sand. Also has good hard surface to run on. Also has some nice beach houses with character to look at. If you're chasing a sunset definitely give this a try!

😍😍 ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! Totally in love with the beach! The beach is gorgeous and well-maintained with a short walk! Perfect hidden gem in Treasure Island! $3 an hour parking and you can use parkmobile! Picnic area with playground! Sand feels like sugar sand and has shells for days! Can't wait to come back for the sunset! 😍😍

It's a great beach, with oftentimes clearer water due to its geographic placement. It's definitely a staple in the LGBTQIA community, so you'll see regulars. The downside is how the pavilion is roped for events, blocking the restroom, but that's the fault of the wedding planning businesses.

A pretty nice beach to have fun, it can get a bit crowded to time to time but enjoyable overall .

The water is literally bath water and the beach is pristine. We got to see pelicans diving for fish, too. So cool. The sunset was beautiful!

Such a pretty place to visit! A great area to walk and see seashells. The waves were awesome!

Incredible beach!!! One of the best I've been to in Florida. We've been coming here for the last four years and intend to come for many, many more. If you're interested in busy, this isn't the place for you. Love it!

Amazing beach! Very good views! Close to the parking area. They charge a nominal fee but well worth it. They have outdoor rinse offs for your feet and normal shower style ones.

One of my favorite for sentimental and realistic purposes. Paid parking and a rental cabana are available. Plenty of sand and all public owned. Come enjoy with your family

White sand, birds, and tranquility - this is our favorite Gulf Coast beach. The island community of Sunset Beach has grown more and more popular over the past twenty years with many of the smaller private homes being torn down to make room for multi-story units but Sunset Beach remains a quiet, peaceful tranquil place to get-away, rest and relax on the beach.

There are two access areas with public parking (average cost $2.00 per hour, metered spots) and finding a space is usually not an issue. At the South end of the island, the municipal beach area has a building with outdoor showers to get the sand off you as well as clean bathrooms. They also have vending machines and a picnic area. On our last visit in May there was a bachelorette party with music on Sunday evening.

As you can see in our pictures the sunsets are amazing every day from anywhere on the beach. We love to watch the sunset and walk at the waters edge just far enough to get your feet and lower legs wet in the surf.

The most beautiful sunsets. One of the best beaches in Florida. There is a large public parking lot near the Mansions by the sea and a smaller lot by Lands End condominiums.
In late summer you might see sea turtles hatching. You can see dolphins all year round swimming up and down the coast. Occasionally you might also see a manatee.

Enjoy the beautiful sunset at Sunset Beach, St. Petersburg, Florida. Be sure to be there before sunset and watch the sun go down in the horizon along the gulf.

Awesome beach! It wasn't crowded at all (we went during Easter week). The views are gorgeous. We went not too far out, and two dolphins swam by us! They were about 10 feet away from us, just swimming along. It completely made our experience in Florida. Would definitely recommend this beach.

They don't call it sunset beach for nothing. I live nearby and this section of the beach is so peaceful this time of day. Awesome sunset with a rain storm coming for the inland up north of here.

This beach is almost always vacant and serene. Plus, it’s less windy here.

Super nice and calm beach last time we were there. Most of the time is really busy. It's a good LGBTQ+ beach with no nudity (in case you were asking). Parking is a pain in the morning though, so either get there super early or after lunch.
