Dockside Dave’s did not disappoint! We were sat right away, the table and seats were clean and the service was very prompt. We got a variety of food, and all of it was fresh and cooked to perfection. Come hungry because the portion sizes are huge!! We could’ve easily split meals together. Definitely a great stop if you want a delicious meal with an inviting atmosphere.

My favorite restaurant on Mad Beach! Grouper is perfect every time whether I get it fried or blackened, which are my two preferences but not the only two ways they prepare it. Onion rings are unbelievably huge, and delicious. Gator bites are always a great starter. My girlfriend and I must stop at least once every time we're in town

First visit… try it! We had the seafood combos…. grouper… shrimp… and scallops. They make their own Blackened seasoning and it’s awesome! The gator bites were great too. Everything tasted really fresh and was cooked fantastic. Heads up, just beer and wine

This is the best food on Madeira Beach. Not fancy, nice outdoor seating and huge portions. Best place I've eaten at in the entire area with a great relaxed atmosphere. They have grouper that is delicious. I also tried hogfish which I've never had and I loved it.

The grouper sandwich is a must! I usually choose blackened however the country fried option was lightly battered with a perfect crunch. The seafood bisque was a thinner consistency more like a soup than bisque however still delicious. Service was fast and friendly.

Amazing service! We were quickly greeted by a beautiful lady who quickly sat us. We came around 5:30pm on a Thursday so it was just before the crowds. Our server was amazing and she brought us our food quickly and all the sauces they had available. We ordered Onion rings, gator bites and grouper bites. All great choices! The breading on everything was tasty and the seasoning was good. I ordered the grouper sandwich (battered) It also was amazing! They offer different ways to cook your fish (battered, country, grill, blackened). My husband decided to get the hamburger since he has eaten seafood all week. What a surprise! I stole a bite and it was probably the freshest burger I've had! It was huge! The bread they use for the sandwiches are to die for! I wish I knew where they got their bread so I could order some to take home! Thank you for serving us and giving us a great experience for our last night on the beach. ❤

So busy on a Friday night but so worth the wait! Onion rings were giant and so were the grouper portions. The staff here is very friendly and fun. I’m still full a couple hours after leaving!!!

Wow!!!! This place has the best seafood in the area! The fish was cooked to perfect, the scallops were delicious, the shrimp were done just right. Even our appetizers (mushrooms and onion rings) weren't too breaded and weren't oily and tasted great!!! Our waitress always kept our drinks filled and stayed attentive. The restaurant is very clean and tidy. The restaurant is small, but I think that's what gives it its charm. There's soooo much flavor in everything we had to eat. If you're going to get seafood, you have to try this place first!

If you're looking for the best, which I always am, here you go. I always research the latest reviews on anywhere or anything I spend my money on. This place was absolutely amazing!! The food was so delicious. We got to sit outside, I ran across the road to take pics of the sunset. Beach Access is right there. Whatever kind of breading they use it is on point. I couldn't stop eating. We enjoyed the alligator bites (highly recommend), chicken tenders(again the breading is so good), large hand battered shrimp (they were so big my husband had leftovers), and the grouper sandwich (it was so big I couldn't even see the buns). Everything was so good and they were extremely busy. Each employee seemed to really be working as a great team together. Ran like a smooth oiled machine. Highly recommend trying this place out of the wait isn't too long.

In today’s day and age of lunch that always costs at least $40…..this place is worth it. The value is there! We sat at the counter and watched the wait staff go, go, go! A well oiled machine to say the least. Having worked in the industry I can appreciate that! But the food is the star! A country fried 1/2 pound grouper sandwich which was outstanding. Paired with the small order of onion rings and it was delicious! Don’t bother go anywhere else for a grouper sandwich! Good eats here.

My daughter(31) and I loved this eatery and bar!!!! The atmosphere is great! Fun, inviting, great temperature, and really friendly!!! They have an outside dining patio, but it was still too warm when we got there. The bartender, Noah, was just great! Constantly checking on us, asking what we would like, if we were ok, etc. we loved him!! Upbeat happy atmosphere indoor or out, and known well for its fabulous grouper sandwiches! They are huge! Everybody there seemed happy and ready to go! Hardworking and clean!!! Loved the grouper bites! A lot of sauces to enhance your food experience!!

The wife ordered the Smoked Fish Spread, a Field of Greens Salad and a glass of White Zinfandel. I ordered an IPA beer, the Fried Grouper Sandwich and small Onion Rings. WOW! Unbelievable! The food was outstanding and the portions are double what you expect. Look at the photos! The price is reasonable based upon the quality and quantity. Adding glass of sweet tea, the total was $54.37 before tip. We will definitely be back and for take out too!

It has been decades since I went back to my childhood city. We used to hitchhike to the beach and go pool hopping. It was a sport! Our tradition was grouper sandwiches for special occasions. I didn't know which place to try, so I picked Dockside Dave's due to the good reviews and proximity to my hotel. On a Wednesday early evening, I tried the fried group plate. It did not disappoint. The fish was fresh and cooked perfectly. The bread, toppings, fries, slaw, iced tea and especially the servers were great. I must have used a half a roll of paper towel. This monument was a delight to eat. So many memories. On Friday, I snuck away and got another sandwich, this time blackened. It was fantastic. I would give the traditional fried a 10, and the blackened at 9.5. The fish itself tastes so good that I think keeping a simple taste is best. Again, the service was great. I am glad I stopped in the restaurant and relived parts of my childhood. I highly recommend this place. They have a lot of other food also that I didn't try. Good job folks!

Enjoyed the best and genuinely friendly service I’ve seen in a long time! The food was fresh with a focus on seafood. I enjoyed the Spicy Gumbo with plenty of shrimp and fish. The specialty of sliced tomatoes intrigued me and came with about 6 large thick slices of tasty tomatoes with a balsamic vinaigrette on the side for $3.95! My main course, I overheard several repeat customers rave about, so I ordered the grouper chunks with an extra fries for my daughter. They were lightly floured and the fish was tender and cooked perfectly! Kudos to the chef for serving fast, fresh, delicious food!

This place is wonderful! Our server Sailor was an absolute delight and took great care of us. You get great food at a great price in a cool atmosphere! I loved the decor and that they had 2 patios and indoor seating. Definitely try the onion rings and grouper! Burgers are good too!

I was on my way home to Orlando and I said to myself, we have to stop at Dockside Daves to get a ton of grouper sandwiches, it's like dying and going to heaven don"t miss this one. Their tarter sauce is the best ever. Yummy Yummy Yummy

Old school Florida vibe . Didn't expect the food to be so good . I've never liked grouper in my life , but my husband's was delicious. He had the grouper Alfredo and I had the chicken sandwich. Everyone was super nice. We sat at the bar and they kept our drinks filled . I already want to go back so I can get the pasta this time lol oh and the sautéed mushrooms app was delicious 😋

So good we went twice! Grouper sandwich was excellent and my wife loved the mussels. Grouper platter the second time was also excellent along with the seafood chowder.
