Gulfport Beach Recreation Area

We were delighted with the activity and offerings in the little Florida town of Gulfport. There are numerous restaurants and shops as well as the beautiful beach area on Boga Ciega Bay. The beach has restrooms, nice picnic areas, parking, several sand volleyball areas, and a great playground. Very well maintained, too.

Nice, quite & clean

This gem of a community is well cared for by the locals and the dedicated Gulfport city workers. You can spend a whole day here, there is something for everyone. Free parking with access to Walking paths, skateboard ramp, a playground, basketball hoops, clean restrooms and many picnic pavilions. You’ll find public yoga at 10:00am on Fridays and Sundays. The bathrooms are clean, there is a nice shower outside. Multiple benches and swings allow you to enjoy the beautiful water views. A fishing pier and kayak launch are just steps away. The beach does not allow dogs though, if you try you will likely find yourself in a conversation with the local police. Oh and dolphins are a regular sighting. :)
If you see the man in my photo, his name is John Paul. He is often talking loudly to a number of historic figures and may even say a bad word on occasion. However, he is a kind soul and will speak to you politely and he loves coffee.

Great place to walk around! It's a fisherman village! So many pubs and bars to choose from. Beach area with Volleyball courts near. Pretty place to walk around!

We love Gulfport and are there 2-3 times a week. I always find parking. It's very convenient.

Great covered playground with access to the beach. Lots of places to walk to as well. Great for the family

So happy to drop by and play a lotttt of VBALL!!! :) Beautiful sandy courts. Bring your own chairs. Public bathrooms. Two playgrounds. Fishing pier. Lots of grassy area for sitting and playing. There are many pet-friendly restaurants.

We went for the 4th of July festivities and had a great time. It has a decent size white sand intercoastal beach, covered picnic areas, multiple voleyball nets, and public bathrooms.

Free parking and beach access! Shaded playground, basketball courts, skate park, workout equipment is outside and open to public, bathrooms, filtered cold water fountains, 6 pavillions, dogs in grass only, no fire or bbq.

Really nice beach park. Easy parking, easy water access... No waves , but great to SUP.
Children playgrounds. Walking path, near to shops and restaurants.

Day tripping through beautiful 😍 Gulfport Beach. Restaurants along the way busy with good music, people and the smell of good food. Met a few local people here, very pleasant 😊 Great place to live according to the locals, I believe it ! 🌴 ⛱ ❤ 💙 💜

Nice little beach. I loved the metal porch swing. Beach was very clean and not very crowded. Good view of St. Petersburg across Boca Ciega Bay.

Go here to relax and watch boats go by.

Gorgeous small beach with soft sand and beautiful views. There’s a nice workout area as well as a large field and event pavilions. Plus, it’s just off the Gulfport strip. Fantastic location.

This beautiful area was awesome. I loved the feel of it all. And the beach is walking distance. Will absolutely return to soak it in again. ♥

We had a fun time at the beach and the children enjoyed their time there . The water wasn’t deep so it was perfect for the smaller kids.

Fantastic playground and quiet beach with water but no waved so it is more toddler friendly.
