Easily the best place I've ever lived. The apartment was fantastic; the appliances, fixtures, cabinets, and drawers were all good quality and in good repair. Jenny and Jami were always very pleasant and straightforward. They made moving in and out a walk in the park. My biggest disappointment was that I only lived there for six months before I had to move for work.

Honestly, if I'm ever back in that area I'd live in a hotel until they have an available apartment because it's worth the wait. This is all coming from someone who used to be an apartment manager, (no, I never worked for Forest Grove, but I would have liked to.)

I loved my time here, it's a reasonable price. Moving in was simple and they made everything stress free. Same with moving out i could not believe how simple they made it for me, now I'm off to a new location once again stress free. I will miss forest grove apartments!

I finally reached the decision to post because of the ice storm of 12/23/22. I will keep it short, there wasn’t any de-icing, shoveling or plowing. We were contacted by the community manager at 8:36 am to advise us that the off-site maintenance staff might not be able to make it in & that a vendor was contacted to manage the situation. It is understandable to have an outside service with off-site maintenance not able to travel safely. Long story short, no one showed & lucky for us, the temperature rose during the evening hours & overnight & the ice melted. However I was told there was a plan to address the ice on the driveways, sidewalks & walkways. Either there wasn’t a plan or it failed. Not the first time since 2018 (I can only refer to my own history). I was unable to get out of my unit because the slippery conditions were so extreme & this resulted in my neighbor’s dog (my neighbor had to travel quite a distance to work & did) not being able to relieve himself. But more importantly & thankfully there were no emergencies that I am aware of; had there been a fire (or other emergency), & had we been forced to evacuate, it would have resulted in possible falls, injuries or worse. It is my opinion that the lack of handling of the situation was irresponsible & now on to the review I have been working on for quite some time. I have lived in the apartment complex since 2018 & have refrained from posting a review. Following the recent rent increase justified by "continuing to provide the service you deserve" I decided it was time. The landscaping (flowers, trees, bushes, etc.) is nice & fairly well maintained. The apartment complex is located in a central location giving easy walking access to several commercial establishments. Response time to apartment maintenance issues has been on the plus side (IN MY APARTMENT) for the last couple of years. Management has been responsive & repairs made in a timely fashion–again I can only speak for myself here. This is a marked improvement from my first couple of years or so here. That said, I would urge new “renter be aware” & put together a very comprehensive check list before you sign-inspect everything, take pictures, videos. Put concerns in writing. It's a long lease document but I would urge you read it all. You sign & management co-signs–responsibility for enforcement falls on both. So now, common grounds: some gutters (my unit & that of some neighbors) have been leaking pretty heavily for conservatively speaking close to 2 years now with puddling as you access the steps. I have brought this up to management several times but this has not been addressed to date. Either there is no response or a variety of responses. Some of the sidewalk slabs need repair or replacement as they are a hazard in my opinion. Resurfacing of the driveways might be something to consider as they are in disrepair. My stairwell hasn't been cleaned/swept/washed in months & that includes the railings. Trash is left in front of front doors outside of the scheduled days & hours for valet pickup. Some of the outside lights are either on 24/7 or don't work (2 years now or close & this was placed on the city’s shoulders but is not the case) be safe, bring your flashlight! The lights are not working for the Forest Grove property sign–the turn-off has been missed countless times by friends @ night. Some necessary repairs are not being made. Lots of rules here but it’s “pick & choose” enforcement. The chimneys have not been inspected in at least 2 years. Cars are supposed to pull into parking spaces not back in (lease)–this is done for safety as most parking spaces back up to apartments–exhaust, taillights should be visible to other drivers. I have outlined what I personally consider most pressing. I will update my review as needed. I would encourage tenants to put everything in writing & if you do call follow-up with an email. There are other (miscellaneous-subjective) items but I will leave these alone for now. I want to give the manager an opportunity to take care of the above issues. I will then update.

I've lived in the apartments for a few months now and have had nothing but problems from the beginning. The maintenance is pretty much non existent, communication with the management seems to also be non existent. Simple things that were promised before I moved in like replacing the blinds that were destroyed still haven't been addressed. Now I cant access my mailbox and 4 days later still can't and no reply from the office staff. I can't wait for my lease to be up and can only imagine the battle brewing over my deposit when I move out. which will be the day my lease is up. My advice... there are much better options for rentals within just a couple of miles. If i'd had the time to research the area it would have saved me a bunch of grief and money.
