We called for service on Saturday and Bradley showed up on time Monday morning. After evaluating the motor we were pleased to find out it was wiring that had rusted from the power source.
Bradley showed me the problem and it was back up running. A very helpful and pleasant employee. Thank you

Everyone at the store is so helpful and takes the time to listen to my pool issues and get us back in the pool. After spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars at another place to try and get my pool blue (which wasn't working) I came to them, they put together a plan for me and didn't have me buying unnecessary chemicals. Clear Blue Pool in days!!!! The whole staff has great customer service skills.

These folks are fantastic! They literally would not sell me a pool vacuum when mine broke because it was going on sale in 2 weeks. Very knowledgeable and helpful with all of your pool related gear and chemicals wherever you’re a DIY (like me) or if you want them to handle all the work so you can enjoy a beautiful pool you can trust these guys to take care of you.

We have been satisfied customers of Pinch A Penny #5, on Lakeland Highlands Road, in South Lakeland. (P-A-P) for almost 30 years, and have always been pleased with their no pressure sales and service. When it came time to resurface our pool it made sense to reach out to Ryan, at Pinch A Penny, for a recommendation. Talking with him, he informed me that they had recently gotten into the pool resurfacing business. His bid was very competitive and his projected start time was much, much quicker than others contacted. After a long discussion about the bids we received, my wife and I decided to go with P-A-P to resurface our pool.They promised a two week start date, and even with all of the summer rain, the project started right on time. From beginning, to the time they started refilling our pool, it took only 4-days. WOW! Josh was on the site every day, as promised, making sure that it went smoothly. He made sure we were informed of the day's activities and we understood what was to happen next. He personally made sure the sub-contractors kept the mess to a minimum and the area was clean at the end of the workday. With minimum disruption, the process was flawless, mostly due to Josh's diligence in managing the work. His followup made the project go smoothly for us. They are now in the process of getting our chemicals balanced and ready for swimming (Hopefully Tuesday or Wednesday of this week). They have been on site everyday since the completion of the pool checking the chemicals and brushing the pool. You couldn't ask for a better job. A job well done at the promised price and completed on the promised schedule. Thanks for the quality service. Ryan, Josh and the folks at Pinch a Penny deliver what they promise and when they promise it. We wholeheartedly recommend them for your pool or spa needs.

We have been going here for over 5 years. We have 2 other pinch a penny stores within 15 minutes away, 1 is less than a minute away in Auburndale. But we make the drive of almost 30 minutes due to the customer service.
They always give a detailed report of what you need to do to operate your pool effectively. They are the only store that will do a full water test when you have algae vs just saying add chlorine and come back in a couple days. They'll give you day by day instructions with list of chemicals you need to get you ready to swim again. Then come back and if it isn't fixed it will be this time.
They have even saved money by telling us sometimes parts are expensive in store and to look at other options online first.

That had me sold on this store and why I keep coming back vs going 1 minute down the road to the rude store. So saving us money online keeps us coming back in store to buy products vs saving a couple bucks on the smaller items in store.

The staff really does care and know their stuff. They make you want to keep coming back. They treat us well knowing we come miles away to give them business. They've even tried to sell us the home testing to save us the drive but I trust them more than myself. Ryan and his team are by far the leading pool store in this area.

I never owned a pool up until recently. The employees at this store were very helpful with letting me know how to take care of the pool. We also had a pump problem and one of the workers stopped by and fixed it, fairly quickly. I would highly recommend this place.

We have them for pool cleaning. Our pool is crystal clear. If we have a problem they diagnose it and fix it. Trouble with pool, DJ very knowledgeable about how we could trouble shoot and gave us a man that could help us if we have an underground problem.

Pinch a penny is a local FL company with great product and outsgreat product and outstanding service. I have absolutely nothing bad to say. Leslie on the other hand, needs to really learn how to market. Their chlorine is too expensive and they send out about 10 emails a week pestering me

This being said- I only talked to them. They were generous with their time. Explained a few things. Said come in anytime to learn how to clean my pool. They would help. What ??? Really !!! They are not even going charge for this. Amen a great company . Love it. Already

Outstanding Service Operation. Pitch-a-Penny Staff is always friendly and attentive. As new pool owners during the past two years, we've had our share of questions and learning curves. Josh and the other team members have patiently shared their knowledge and recommendations with us. They are truly passionate about their industry, and perhaps that's why they are willing to take the time to understand you and ensure you understand your pool.

I don't really have a good comparison for their awesome service level, because I haven't experienced anything like it in recent history. Thanks for always going the extra mile to take care of us and help us take care of our pool!

These guys do terrific work. The service level and attention to detail is second to none. I had a major overhaul done on my pool system and it took a day longer than expected because Eric insisted that everything be absolutely perfect. I was not billed extra for the unanticipated problems they ran into. It turned out great and I couldn't be happier.
Although this store is part of a large chain, it is locally owned and managed by Ryan who worked there for years until he finally bought it a couple of years ago.
They understand that the formula for success is pretty simple---do a great job at a fair price.

I always go there to have my pool water tested, buy my liquid chlorine and tablets. They are always so helpful and knowledgeable. I had a leak and brought them pictures and they had everything I needed to fix it. I had never worked on anything related with the pool and they told me I could do this. They gave me the confidence I needed to fix it and I did.
If it was something I could not have done, they do have people who do fix pool problems. You just need to make an appointment.

We couldn’t be more grateful for Ryan and his guys. We’ve spent months fighting with our pool trying to keep it clean and spending crazy amounts of money. We didn’t know enough to do it ourselves and they helped us get it and keep it clean within literal days. We were able to get in our pool 3 days later after it being nasty green. We love their pool service. They’re such nice people. I’m glad I called them when I did. Thank y’all for everything. If I can trust anyone it’s Ryan the owner and his guys.

The entire staff is always so helpful and knowledge. They always put in the extra effort to help with any pool questions or concerns. Honest business practice. Eric has been an excellent technician too. 10/10!!!

I choose to go to this store due to the excellent customer service that I receive while here. I prefer this place over other nearby pool stores.

At times I've had to wait a little bit to be helped, but that is because the staff was devoting their attention to other customers.

Ryan is the man and on multiple occasions he's helped me with major problems I've had and has actually steered me away from more expensive purchases when he easily could have played the role of salesman and made more money.

Only negative I can think of is the parking lot when the place is busy.

This Lakeland store has the greatest staff! Testing on your pool water is free, FREE!! Whether you buy product or not! They are knowledgeable and also offer home pool service. Give them a try.

I've been going to this store for many years(over 15) and have only experienced top notch customer service. Bought first pool cleaner there, used it until it nearly fell apart. Actually had them repair it for me once before I replaced it. Bought the replacement here as well. Works great. I drive past other Pinch a Penny locations just because I know I can trust Ryan and the rest of the guys.
