Yanni Bistro

Outstanding Bistro tucked away in Downtown Matthews. Came here with the family for my little sister, Yanni's, birthday. The owner was very kind and explained the menu to us. The environment is clean and puts you in a good mood with the music playing. The food was AMAZING. We had the Peri Peri Burger, a regular cheeseburger, a Falafel Salad, a Goat Cheese Baguette and a chicken burger. All of them were beyond delicious, and locally sourced! Down to the honey in the mustard.

I absolutely love this place. Yanni’s Bistro combines a high quality dining experience at an extremely reasonable price with friendly, welcoming hospitality.

The food is fresh (most of the produce is locally grown), flavorful, and simply delicious. I had the Chicken Peri Peri Sandwich with a side salad. Both were phenomenal.

Yanni, the owner, is very personable and hospitable. Service is always top notch and Yanni goes above and beyond to provide the best.

I’ll be back for the delicious food and the friendly service. It’s hard to beat.

Amazing lunch spot! I got the Yanni special and it was great! The owner was very friendly and made the service great! He even offered us a free side salad. Highly recommend!

The food was amazing, and the service from Yanni was phenomenal. My wife is GF and Yanni had a number of great selections for her to choose from, and she really enjoyed the GF bread. We'll definitely come back if we're in the area again.

Yanni Bistro is an absolute gem. The food is delicious and nourishing for the body and mind. The ingredients and flavors are very carefully selected to create a full meal that can't be replicated elsewhere. Yanni always makes my visits pleasant with excellent suggestions and I enjoy chatting with him. It's refreshing to see meals treated with such care and thoughtfulness. I've been enjoying trying new dishes each time and so far my favorites are the falafel salad and the roasted eggplant. I always have a wonderful experience dining here!

Such a cute little place I had not been to before. It's tucked away, but definitely a hidden treasure. I had a salad which was really good and refreshing. I would eat anything on the menu! And they have a huge selection of macaroons that I will be back to try. Service was great.

We both got the Yani Special, one chicken and one beef. Amazing quality of food, gourmet hot chocolate (for me ☺), and the owner even took some time to chat with us. This was our first time here and we’ll definitely be visiting again soon! Highly recommend it.

Yanni Bistro is a great little bistro. We just had lunch there, and the food was delicious. Yanni has a great selection of starters, salads, and sandwiches to choose from. If you're looking for a vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options, you should definitely check it out. So glad Matthews has Yanni Bistro!

The food was amazing. I am vegan and I ordered the Falafel and hummus wrap. My daughter ordered the Chicken Burger. The fries were hot and seasoned perfectly. We even ordered food to eat later. The gentleman that took our order was so helpful and kind. Definitely recommend for vegans looking for something more than a salad or bowl.

In town from Atlanta for a soccer tournament. Stopped here to grab a healthy bite. Sandwich was phenomenal. Service was outstanding. Hidden gem in Mathews NC

Excellent place with options for anyone and everyone. I ordered about seven different kinds that macarons and every single one was absolutely fantastic! I also ordered the grilled chicken and avocado baguette and the every aspect of it was amazing. From the flavors to the tenderness of the chicken, you can tell this place really knows what they’re doing. Definitely coming back!!

It's truly hard to find a restaurant of this quality around Charlotte. The food is made from scratch and cooked with fresh ingredients only. Everything on the menu is healthy and delicious. You can tell the chef comes from a background where quality is important. Speaking of the chef, what an amazingly kind man. Yanni will come out with the food and talk to you about anything. The service is as good as it gets. If you are thinking about it, just go. It's worth it.

I am ecstatic about discovering this amazing place. This is my second time ordering from there and Yanni does such a spectacular job with his food preparation and quality ingredients, so fresh and delicious. The prosciutto sandwich was spot on. The hardest part is selecting what to order because everything on the menu looks great. The place is clean, friendly and tucked in a cozy spot. A place like this is hard to come by. He's earned a lifetime customer. Thank you.

Wow well done Yanni. The food is delicious! I ordered the falafel wrap and fries and everything it’s truly homemade. Falafels are not dry like in most Mediterranean restaurants. There are quite a few vegan options to choose from which I like. I can highly recommend this place. The kids enjoyed their PBJ sandwich and side of veggies.

Clean, bright dining area. Yanni is friendly and courteous. Love his French accent! Food is delicious and since I’m vegan, that’s real praise! Have eaten there twice and will surely return. Highly recommend!!!

Was our first time here, and we certainly will be back. Locally sourced, small business with a personal touch. Many vegetarian options. Delicious entrées.

Behind the White Duck Taco, a block or two from the main strip in downtown Matthews by the farmers market. Worth the effort to find. The food was fresh and tasted amazing. We got the caprice baguette (a caprese sandwich) and the Yanni Special (a peri peri marinated chicken) with hand cut fries. Cannot emphasize how fresh everything tasted. There are vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan options. Yanni is a warm and wonderful adnstatss he plans to start a dinner menu for the weekends as well as bring in music. There is a little spot in the back with a pergola and outdoor lights that would be delightful in the evenings. We will be back!

Amazing hidden gem near downtown Matthews! The hand-cut fries blew my mind away, and the sandwiches and cheesecake were fantastic too. The owner was incredibly generous and welcoming, and had a good selection of gluten-free options for my family. I’m recommending this place to everyone I know!

My mom came into town from Iowa, wanted a healthy gluten free restaurant & this was by far our favorite place we tried. The owner was so helpful and knowledgeable. Next time she comes to town, we will most definitely make this one of our new stops!!

Food is absolutely top tier. Cute little place. Every bite was 100% fresh and quality and sooo delicious. Get the hummus. They Only makes 1 batch a day to stay fresh. The only thing I don't think was homemade was the ketchup lol.
