I dropped off my dirty non-working lawnmower around 10am. I asked if they could getting it working for me. They said yes and should have it done this afternoon. Well I just picked it up at 4 pm. It runs great and they cleaned it up. Looks brand new. They are great and I will only take my lawnmower repairs to them in the future. Great work there from all!

This outfit has been servicing my Honda gas powered mower for years - maybe over a decade (since they were located on MLK). Every time I take it in, they've fixed the mower quickly and well.

On one memorable occasion in 2017, I accidentally mowed over a medium-sized stump in my yard and completely mangled the blades. I was afraid that I'd finally have to buy a new machine, but I took it to Jay's, and they found a new blade from an old mower they had on the lot (same model as mine), sharpened and installed it... Three hours and $25 later, my mower was ready to go!

This is an awesome little gem out here in the SE. I e taken 2 chainsaws last year and recently I took my Honda mower. Each experience was great. He made my chainsaw sing and chew wood like they were brand new. And my 2nd hand mower has never worked better.

I’m so glad this place is in my area. They always do impeccable repair work and when needed, can do some emergency jobs in a matter of hours - not days or weeks. I’ll always go here and it feels even better to support a small family business. If I ever need a new motorized tool, I’ll check here first because I know I’ll be buying a perfectly working machine.

I took my reel mower in to get the blades sharpened, and they were great! Tiny shop chock full of mowers, very friendly folks. They said that COVID had increased their turnaround time lately, so it took about 3 weeks which was fine for me. There's not very many places in the metro that sharped reel mowers. They don't answer the phone with the name of the business which threw me off a little, but I will be taking my mower here again next season!

I brought my mower in on Friday with some general problems. They said they were backed up about 3 weeks, but would try to get to the easier repairs and hopefully get it back to me "early next week." I didn't expect them to be calling me on Monday to say I could pick it up! They also said that it still needed more carburetor service, but that I could make it work if I just pour a little gas in on cold start. I appreciated their honesty and quick service! I will be back!

Quoted us a week, lawnmower was done before the week was up. Full tune up, replaced blades and wheels and even cleaned out the gas tank. Overall amazing experience

Great service - brought it in not knowing why it wouldn’t work. Got it fixed on the spot for a very reasonable fee! Turned out there was water in the gas. After blowing out the carburetor and draining the gas, Mike filled it up with clean gas and I was on my way. Highly recommended! They will even recycle the bad gas from my old gas for free.

This place is great. No nonsense, but courteous and responsive staff. They'll just take your mower and do a good and quick job fixing it. They said mine would be ready in a week and it was ready in 4 days. And only $59 it's better than any other deal you can find.

Great service! My lawnmower and chainsaw wouldn't start and my mower needed a new pull chord. I thought I might need to buy new ones but I didnt. They got everything fixed quick, easy, and cheap and cleaned them up so they look new again. I would definitely recommend going to Jay's.

Over a year ago we bought a used lawn mower here for a fraction of the new price. Never had any problems with it and it's still being used. You can see from the photo on Maps (yes, they actually have that many) that they have an incredible selection from which to choose. We were told to bring it back if there were any problems.

For one reason or another I hadn't had our push mower sharpened in years. Jay's turned it into a new machine. They were fast, friendly and reasonably-priced. We don't have much lawn, but now it's a pleasure to mow what we have.

Got my push mower (Brill reel mower) sharpened here - it's better than new. It seems like they cleaned out the gearing as well. So easy to mow now. Wish I'd done it years ago.

Second time here and my experience was even better than the first. This time, I had a mystery issue with my lawn mower and had expected to leave it with them for a couple of weeks until someone could get to it. (As for the wait, all three times I've called them about an issue, they've been very upfront about how long it will take based on their existing backlog. I *really* appreciate their candor.). However, when I brought it in, one of Jay's mechanics asked about the issue, checked all the obvious things and then spotted the problem (a spring clip had popped off the governor). Clipped it back on, then adjusted it, then said "that it?". Spent five minutes diagnosing and fixing the problem but didn't want any money. They may be gruff, they may have a huge wait time - but it's quality work done with integrity.

Really nice people, fixed my 25 year old Briggs and Stratton lawn mower, runs like new and did all maintenance. Saved me from buying a new one. Thank you!

I had a Craftsman lawnmower with a broken self-propel. After struggling to fix it on my own for a week, I took it in to Jay's. Eric helped me unload from my car, flipped it on its side, and had it working again inside of 30 seconds. The belt was off the pulley underneath the blade; I didn't even know the belt extended under the blade. And to top it off, no charge. "Just come see us again when you need something." Unbelievable.

I came in after hours but luckily was able to catch one of the employees and to my surprise they helped me! I was shocked and the level of customer service. I will definitely use these guys again. Also they moved to 606 Se 162 Ave. Portland Oregon
