Plaza Del Sol Apartments

I recently moved into Plaza Del Sol in December and I have to say, I absolutely love it here! With all the new upgrades, fresh paint and beautiful apartment inside, quiet and clean, plus a private back yard to make my own, it feels like home! The best location close to work and shopping is a huge PLUS!

I don’t advice anyone to rent on this compound you just loosing your money and your time very bad management nothing is true no maintenance anything broken you will be the responsible for that and no professional office specially the manager very bad behaviour and attitude she will not lesson to the new Tennant and everything is not allowed .your neighbour on apt 790 keep complaining about anything even if you take shower during the night ext
It is very old apartment and not proper renovated it just picture the garbage always full the washer always broken and no one is taking care too much insect because of the garbage swimming pool not clean don’t wear your money you will be dealing with only one persons which is the manger… and no other professional staff is there.

If you are considering moving in to this plaza, do yourself a huge favor and turn around. Since Ive moved out, I am now letting the world know how bad this complex is.

You know which complex is better to rent from than this complex? ANY other complex is better to rent from than this complex. I would give them zero stars if I could. Where to start?

There is trash constantly over flowing from both the recycling and dumpster bins. There aren't even enough recycling bins per unit to maintain the trash flow. Not to mention, no one brings the recycling back into the complex after trash day!

The exterior paint job they did last year was horrid and messy, we had to ask the painters to come back and fix spots as they continued working.

I initially moved in because the manager at the time was caring, approachable, and responsive. Since change of ownership, it has gone from bad to horrible.

When I lived there, I had to take my laundry to the laundromat at the whole foods parking lot, because my clothes would smell moldy and gross after using the complex's washer and dryers. They are never serviced or cleaned, even after I inquired for them to do so. They responded they are cleaned weekly.

By now you are probably thinking, why would an idiot pay $1800/mon for a 1 bedroom at a complex that can't even take care of these simple tasks. These aren't even difficult things to fix.

The worst part of this complex was how they charged my deposit to make up for a "paint schedule" they tried to push onto me, that was clearly blank and I had never signed at move-in, to pay for $300 in touch-ups. I cleaned this place from top to bottom, left it impeccable. Still was charged for cleaning. My cat did rip a little of the carpet, which was charged for, fair enough.

I called the manager and asked to talk about how the deposit was broken down, she replied "I will not talk to you about how the deposit is broken down"

Save yourself, do not rent from this complex. They will not remedy your concerns, they will take your money. Deuces, Plaza Del Mierda ✌🏼

July 2018:

I have been renting here for 6 months and the plaza is undergoing a remodel and change of management. It is beyond unprofessional the way they are handling this. I have been calling to have a soap dish in the shower replaced (it was sharp and dangerous) in my apartment for over a 1 month and haven’t gotten a call or anything fixed. They had the building repainted and it looks worse than before it was painted. The old manager was awesome and super helpful... I’m not sure what happened to him, but he was a huge part of why we chose to rent here. I would give 0 stars if I could...

April 2019: UPDATE TO OLD REVIEW.

I am updating my review now at I am no longer a resident at Plaza Del Sol.

DO NOT RENT HERE.

These people are crooks.

We didn't sign a "paint schedule" document because they never showed us when moving in.

They tried to charge us $300 (even more if you stay for less than a year... up to $500) to have the apartment painted... when it was just touch up work... we rented here a year... is that not "normal wear and tear?"

We left the place impeccable other than small scratches in the bedroom carpet from our cat.. like I'm talking maybe 2"x2" (at biggest) in the corner of the room.

Everything else was spotless.

Because they couldn't charge us the $300 for the paint work (because I told her she would need to show us proof of a signed document that we had agreed to). They found ways to charge us for just about everything else... to take as much as they possibly could from our deposit.

$50 for cat scratches (fair)
$100 for carpet cleaning (which we had steam cleaned)
$110 for "cleaning" (I don't think anyone could even make it more clean, they wouldn't have had to do anything)

Also we upgraded and maintained the backyard which had trash and garbage when we moved in... It literally had beer cans, toys, an old TV dish, and house siding. We removed all of that, cleaned it and planted grass.... why. Looking back, I should've taken it as a sign... naive and persuaded by the nice remodel job they had done.

They fired the manager we liked (who was the reason we chose to rent here in the first place). In the time we rented at this complex (12months) we went several months without a manager on site. So when there was an issue, we'd call and leave a voicemail and... nothing. Terry has taken over now, and she seems to be better with communication but overall, the company has done a terrible job.

This place is gross (filthy...) they have not enough trash or recycling space per tenants. It's a huge complaint I've heard time and time again from my neighbors. They also fail to bring in the recycling on time so it sits on the street for a few days while the trash and everything piles up.

This place is incredibly overpriced (well California is, but here specifically). I paid $1800 FOR A ONE BEDROOM (nothing included. Not trash, not water, not sewer, not anything... do I own this place or am I not renting?) what did that expensive rent get me? A small apartment, no utilities, a dirty (really gross) laundry mat on site.. ended up always using the one down the street. Overflowing trash, no parking, poor communication with management, horrible paint job.

Don't let the remodeled look fool you. It surely hasn't been a pleasant experience. Save yourself the headache and rent somewhere else. Anywhere else is better than here. I rented at The Apartments at Cabot Way in Napa... I would 100% recommend them over this place.

The best part?

They've raised the rent since I left! Bahahaha. What a joke.

Very very bad management I just moving 3 day ago and I start getting complain from terry that saying I have smoke inside my house witch is not true since I wasn’t available at home all day till late night as well I received complain regarding noise wish as well not true
Manager jump on me for every complain she received wish not professional at all as well the funniest story at the end she call the policies because I was trying to explain that it wasn’t me
I never heard that office agent call police for they tenant and talk to they’re customer on road way,
As well she’s behaving like she is school manager not office agent
I doesn’t recommend this compound to any one

Went to an "open house" at around 2:00 and nobody was there! After I emailed the manager, he later replied that you have to "make an appointment" for an open house?!?!

The manager sucks y’all need a new one ASAP
