Jumbo Lump Crab Cake Company

We have been keeping an eye on this place for a bit and finally stopped on Monday. We ordered crab cake sandwich and crab cake platter. We both tried the potato salad and I also tried the shrimp pasta salad. We mentioned Manassas Talk and got a free order of hush puppies. All of our food tasted amazing. Don’t waste your time driving all the way to Maryland,
The place looked immaculate and the staff was very friendly and helped with entering my order. There is a small order and pick up area and a very large kitchen area. No dine-in eating. The food is so good you will probably just finish it in your car.

The food was excellent, and the staff was friendly and efficient. The crab cakes are all crab - next to no filler and true jumbo lump crab!! Perfectly cooked and great flavor! The crab pretzel was bubbling hot and loaded with crab and cheese. The sides were refreshing and flavorful. The carrot cake cupcake was the perfect finish - so good!

Oh. My. Lord!!! I really didn’t feel like cooking tonight, so I told my husband we were either having crab cakes or string cheese. He chose crab cakes. Placed an order online for 5 cakes and a large side of crab salad (for lunch tomorrow). We arrived to pick up 10 minutes later and were met with a smile and a sincere “thank you” for our order. Got home, and roasted a few veggies to serve with our cakes. The crab cakes are so full of lump crab! There is very (if any) filler. The sauce is sweet and tart and wonderful. I grew up on Rappahannock Blue Crab and I am so incredibly impressed!!! I can’t wait to get back again! Do yourself a favor and swing by, they are absolutely incredible!!

Had no idea this was even open in Manassas until I saw the raving reviews on my local Facebook. I absolutely love crab cakes, so I HAD to see what all the fuss was about. Let me tell you, folks, this will be my exclusive crab cake spot for the future. As soon as you walk in, the staff make sure to let you know that you are truly welcome; friendly faces and conversation all around. Being such a small eatery tucked away in a busy plaza, it amazes me how fast the HOMEMADE dishes are ready for the public. My brother and I stopped in to get the single cake platters with the potato salad and chips to go. Now, I know a genuine crab cake when I see one, but my brother wasn't as familiar. Let me tell you, we were absolutely floored by our meal and left not a single crumb. The reviews are right when they say there is little to no filler in these crab cakes; when they say JUMBO lump, they aren't messing around. The potato salad and, as they call it, "Boss Sauce" are a perfect compliment for the outstanding main dish. Let this review be your sign to take the plunge and have a taste of the genuine article for yourself.

I checked this location out based on recommendations in a local Facebook group and boy did they not disappoint! I ordered the single crabcake platter which came with one crabcake and two sides for $20. I got the shrimp pasta and the potato salad and they were both amazing, but the shrimp salad was to die for. The restaurant appears to be family owned and operated which I love and they were all warm and welcoming. Definitely go check out and support this local business ASAP!!!

This place deserves TEN stars, it’s that good! The crab cakes were divine—no filler, very lightly battered and browned, and good flavor that let the crabmeat shine without any overpowering spices. The potato salad and coleslaw were also lightly dressed, allowing the primary ingredients to speak for themselves without a bunch of goopy mayo. The staff was incredibly friendly, and service was prompt. These crab cakes stood up to any I’ve eaten in Maryland on the bay!

This is hands down the best crab cake spot in the area. Being married to a woman from the MD eastern shore for over 30 years, I know a good crab cake when I taste it, and when she says it's good, it's probably really good. The shrimp pasta salad and the crab salad are awesome as well. My wife and I each had the crab cake with two sies. We were stuffed! IMHO, you really get your money's worth. Please give him a shot. I don't think you will be disappointed. And the icing on the cake is he's a great guy to go along with his great food.

This is some legit crabcakes! If you want real, hearty and amazing crabcakes, this is the place to visit. The crabcakes had large lumps of meat that were so good. The crab salad and coleslaw were delish too. The owner and staff were so nice and welcoming. I will NEVER have crabcakes anywhere else...whatever I had before can never compare.

Hands down, the BEST Crab Cakes….EVER!! Picked up 4 Crab Cake Platters tonight and tried all the sides—Potato Salad, Shrimp Salad, Crab Salad, Coleslaw—EVERYTHING is amazing!!! Great customer service with a smile! Pick up dinner for the family, you won’t regret it!

We got two crab-cake platters and all the sides (in total, and except bagged chips). Everything was very, very delicious. All the superlatives you read in the reviews are well deserved.

Only regret is that the place currently is just a service counter with no seating available. But hopefully as we patronize this establishment more, they'll be able to expand or move to a location that has more space.

For our part, we will definitely be back!

I ordered crab cakes, potato salad, cole slaw, hush puppies, carrot cake muffins, and cheese cake for a family get together. Most of the family was coming from Baltimore (huge crab cake snobs). I was met with some very palpable skepticism about how good the crab cakes could actually be since they weren’t from Baltimore and it’s probably not really ‘lump’ meat, etc. It was a relief to see heads nodding and to hear positive comments after the first bites were taken. They were very impressed. The salads tasted homemade and the desserts were delicious!

I NEVER write reviews... However, this company's food is surpassed only by their customer service. I needed a large order quickly and it was delivered to my door at the stated time. As someone raised on seafood in the deep south, this crab is amazing and even our Celiac member can enjoy the equally tasty gluten free option. A must try if you like crab!!

Finally came in to pick up some crab cakes. I’ve bought from this place in the past, when they ran it from their home kitchen. They now have sides and different combinations, which is nice. Service was personable and attentive. They’ve got two large screens to place your order on, like Crumbl.
Ordered my crab cakes to go, which was perfect to be able to bring home a tasty dinner for the family.

These crabcakes never disappoint! So, it was my first time at the new restaurant (I’ve gotten them many times from their home location) and from the second I walked in, I felt so welcomed. I went in to grab my Easter Sunday star of the show….how nice it is to just pop your main entree in the oven and other than sides, dinner is done! Everyone raved about the crabcakes! I was born and raised in Maryland and these cakes are the BEST. Basically zero filler, all jumbo lump. I’ll be a repeat customer again and again. Thanks for making my holiday so easy and delicious!

Top 3 crab cakes ever. (Comparable to Sweetwater’s). Sauce was good, but not needed.
Fake crab salad surprisingly great! (My wife’s favorite ever).
Her potato salad was….meh. My coleslaw was good, better than okay.
Not cheap, but worth it. You get what you pay for. The 5 star rating is due to the crab cakes and crab salad only. They were that good!

Great food. Great family owned business. Definitely one of the best crabcakes that I have ever eaten. I had the crabcake sandwich with cole slaw, my wife had the crab salad sandwich with potato salad. Both sandwiches and sides were excellent. I just wish they had an eat in option. We will definitely go back.

For my family we got the 10 pack of crab cakes, they were delicious 😋, we had 2 extra and they reheated well in the toaster oven. The house made sauce also delicious. I would definitely go here again

This MD girl has been ordering from Jumbo Lump Crab Cake Co. for years! Delicious and the best I’ve ever had!! Super friendly staff and food is spot on. RUN, don’t walk to get yours!! You will thank me later.
