Baba Coffee - Coffee Carlsbad

This play was recommended to me and it didn’t disappoint. Seating during busy hours is, of course, tough to get, but the drinks and service were great.

The staff are accommodating and kind. Comfortable atmosphere and yummy food/drinks. I’m there to study several times a week. Us locals are friendly and many know one another by name. Costs are going up from inflation, but it’s not their fault. They even have evening events on the weekends with local chefs flexing their culinary muscle for your enjoyment. They have wine and other adult beverages as well. The quiche with melted cheese on top is insane delicious. Family owned; support these guys!

This place has amazing vibes and awesome people who run it. Wonderful espresso as well.

Best Earl Grey tea I've ever had in an oversized ceramic cup. Lovely space. Made me so happy they have yoga blankets draped around for customer use when it's chilly. I love this place.

There's live jazz music every Friday and Saturday night. They have a new food vendor every Friday night that makes dinner. Besides this it's a great place for meeting anyone, because they have a drink for everyone, wine, coffee, soda, champaign. Anything you like. Anyone would be happy.

Been coming here for years. Coffee is always great. Love their egg and cream cheese sammies. But there’s one thing that has prompted me to write this review now, especially when competition has conveniently moved in across the street. And it’s the staff. They’re always pleasant but man, when you got three employees standing around just talking the entire time, and not tidying up the tables, it’s just a little silly. Leftover napkins on tables, blankets not folded up, chairs pulled out, wet floors that could easily be mopped up (raining outside). I just think the owner should know what’s going on when they’re not around. I want this place to thrive.

Baba Coffee House caught our eye as we strolled by after dinner, mainly because of the live music they had going on. We decided to pop in for some coffee, beer, and wine.

Having been here a few times previously, I appreciate their dog-friendly policy; they even provide treats for our furry friends. The place offers a decent range of coffee, tea, alcoholic beverages, pastries, and food options.

Their service is prompt and reliable, and the staff is quite friendly. It's become a go-to spot for me when I need a different setting to work in. Overall, Baba Coffee House provides a nice variety of drinks and food, coupled with efficient service—a good spot to relax or get some work done.

Their cappuccino was fluffy foam (see photo) with very strong espresso. Made just right. They also have a great selection of wine and beer which is always welcome.

I stopped by this nice little coffee shop for a quick coffee and donut. They were both delicious and the baristas were kind and offered some good recommendations.

A very nice coffee shop! Staff was all friendly, and coffee was excellent. The owner Rob saw me checking out their cool apparel; he pulled the shirt off the hanger and said it was mine! Talk about customer service! As a business owner myself, it’s easy to recognize someone who cares about their craft and wants to share it with others. Looking forward to stopping by again. Our barista and server were so nice. We ordered a latte and a coffee as well as a beef empanada (that was made fresh for us) and a croissant. We relaxed sitting in their front window and enjoyed our food and drinks. The atmosphere was just perfect for a late morning pick me up.

Delicious charcuterie board, breakfast burrito and croissant sandwich. Staff were kind and the owner very attentive to details. I highly recommend this lovely place.

First time there. Friendly server, coffee as good as other coffee shops, prices comparable, feels like a friendly local Carlsbad village hang out.

As good as advertised. One of the best iced coffees that I’ve found in the area. A really friendly girl was working the counter and she was quick! Had my coffee out in 2 minutes. Really neat vibe to the shop and a decent amount of seating for the space. Parking is street parking and can be a chore during peak hours.

Really nice staff. Super clean. Food is surprisingly great (especially for a coffee shop)! We have ordered the quiche, the bagel, & the croissant. All were yum😊

Great latte (overpriced but so it goes in SoCal) and sandwich, adorable little joint, love the vibe. Barista was super nice. Wear a jacket as doors were all open despite cold weather. I didn’t mind. They offer blankets for use which was the perfect touch. Will be back!

Fav coffee shop in Carlsbad. Makes a mean açai and the prison break is excellent. just whip out a chess board and watch as everyone flocks to it. great atmosphere

I have been going to Baba for years and it is always splendid. It gets crowded with a lot of regulars, but generally everyone is considerate, no loud phone/Zoom conversations. There is always somewhere to sit. And they play great music. In fact, they actually have live music on the weekend, which is really cool.

I came here after I dropped my dog to get his neuter surgery in San Marcos. I am visiting from out of town and had driven up from my family’s home in El Cajon. I figured I would stay in the area while I waited to see an old friend and chose Baba just based on Google reviews.

It was the perfect spot! I had the breakfast egg sandwich. When it came out, it seemed kinda small and underwhelming but lemme tell ya, it was FANTASTIC! I also had an iced chai with espresso that was so yummy.

The vibes were so cozy while I read a book with one of their provided blankets because it was cold! 10/10 recommend coming here.
