Holy Dormition Orthodox Monastery

Beautiful monastery. It’s larger in person. The nuns are wonderful.

It was my first visit here. Attended the celebration of the Dormition of the Holy Mother. I was not able to walk the grounds due to the rain, but what I did see was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. I will be making more trips in the future.

Everyone here is very friendly and kind, it is serene there, and it feels like home no matter what. The services are beautiful and so is the monastery itself. Most importantly though, they show the true meaning of the Orthrodox faith. Though I can't currently be there now due to the Coronavirus outbreak, I miss my very good friends there and I hope I can see them again soon. I love everyone there at the monastery and may you all have a blessed Nativity, may you all be well, and I hope you all have a happy New Year! God bless you all! :)

A place of peace, holiness, beauty, healing, love, learning, and song. Don't take my word for it. They have a small cemetery with a large backlog of people who want to be *buried* there.

Beautiful orthodox monastery where you can find rest for your soul and spiritual advice.

As an orthodox Christian I found this monestary to be a pinnacle of grace, peace and the joy of all Christ has to offer to us. The nuns are friendly and helpful and always are looking for ways to exert their love for humanity and especially Christ. The newly added architecture will stunn you with the intricate detail so vividly seen. The iconography is all hand painted by the nuns and have that special touch that no computer or camera could capture. I recommend people of all/no faith to go and see what Orthodox Christianity is all about at Holy Dormition monestary.
