The Lilac Loft

Myself and several fellow church members had a great time making candles and memories together this evening! Thanks to Denise, Rich, and our own Lynne Farmer for making this possible!
Side note: my van smelled so awesome, with 7 candles riding home with us!

This was a fantastic experience for a girl's day. You get to customize your candle from the glass it is in to the scent, color, and toppings. Our candles are stunning and so is the shop we made them in!

I Loved making candles at the Lilac Loft for Galentines. The fragrances for the candles all smelled so good, it was hard to choose from lol I ended up choosing the Jamaican me crazy fragrance. It’s like a coconut mango scent which I love!! We even had treats to eat and take home if we wanted to. It was a lot of fun and very reasonable prices. If anyone hasn’t been to a candle making workshop with Denisse, I highly recommend that you do. She was so sweet, very welcoming and helpful. It’s an amazing workshop to go to. I never even knew it was there in st. Joe. Thanks Denisse, I really enjoyed making candles and learning something new. I can’t wait to attend the tea cup workshop next month 🕯☕😊

I was so looking forward to the candle making class and it did not disappoint!! Denisse has such a great space in her shop and makes the class relaxed, fun and a great time out with friends. We all agreed we will be back for more classes. Can’t wait for the teacup candle class this spring 😊

It’s a fun and satisfying class. Denise makes sure everyone is successful and enjoys the experience. It was so great, I came back a second time. It’s a lovely shop and I highly recommend the class!

What a lovely experience. I had a wonderful time at the Lilac Loft - Denise is a warm and excellent instructor and in 90 minutes, with her guidance, I made a lovely and fragrant scented candle in a beautiful tea cup that I'll be presenting as a Mother's Day gift next weekend. The atmosphere and The Lilac Loft is welcoming and the facility is beautiful. I encourage you to take a class, stop by and do some shopping for unusual and gorgeous items or do both!

Denisse is a natural teacher, and her artistry shows with candle making! This was a really fun experience that left me wanting to do it again rather than simply checking the experience off my list.

My daughter and I really enjoyed our candle workshop! So many choices of scents and toppings! Denisse is so kind and knowledgeable, the shop is beautiful, I love the music playing and the whole ambiance of the place. This is a wonderful addition to downtown Saint Joe. If you are visiting, do not pass up stopping at the Lilac Loft! Also, I was very pleased to find out that part of the proceeds benefit Harbor of Hope in Benton Harbor.

My wife and I made candles with Denisse during one of her workshops for our Anniversary. She did an amazing job and her shop is a must see if you’re local or visiting St. Joe.

First time visiting the Lilac Loft for a candle making class with Denisse, it was so fun! You pick your jar/tea cup, she has a lot of different scents to pick from, colors and botanicals if you choose to put those on top. Super fun idea for a girls night.

I was the token male in a class of women. Denisse was great to learn from, she took the time and explained it all while making it fun. The prices were great, and they have scents for guys as well as all the fancy women scents. I would highly recommend the lilac loft. My house smells like coffee now.

I signed up for a candle making class and had such a fun time!! The owner provides everything you need and is so helpful and informative on tips and tricks. My candle turned out so so cute and it was such a relaxing, creative activity! We already booked our next class to make another candle. I can see myself coming back multiple times to try out all of the seasonal scents!

This is a wonderful little place! Denisse makes the candle making experience fun and easy. I love the variety of scents to choose from and the little decorating touch at the end! Plus, they have cute little items and fun candles to buy too. I will definitely be back!!

I attended a candle making class with my 5 year old. He loves making things so the sand candle was perfect! He got to pick his own scent and colors then pour the wax ‘sand’ into the container. He loved it so much and adores his candle!

Visited for a bachelorette party and had a blast! A candle was the perfect memento to bring home - Smells incredible and looks cute to boot. Thank you Denisse!

As an another business owner in Niles at Bee Crafty we did a candle workshop collaboration- you painted your own soup mug and Denise shows you how to add your 3 wick candle inside after it’s done. It was so easy to work with Denise! Her workshop space and her shop is beautiful and she has the cutest set up! Love the local handpicked artisans in her shop, deff worth the stop & shop AND the DIY workshops!
