Rock River Park

This park is nice for walks alone or with kids. It has a pool or aquatic swimming center they call it here in town. On one side it has a large but slow water slide on the partially deep end. The bottom of the slide gets faster as you hit the water in the pool, now you are warned lol. There are 3 small but fast toddler slides on its shallow ends. Also there is a separate deep pool for divers. The outside of the pool area has tennis courts and some picnic areas. There is also a trail that leads to a playground for kids. There are two ways to enter the park, both lead past the swimming pool area. Towards the back that has the playground there is also a football area to the left, but I have not checked the grass there. This side of the park gets damp because it's closer to the river. There is a medium pavilion in front of the kids playground which might have bathrooms but I am not for sure so upon going back I will give an update on that subject. The spot I walked to was the back and it has a shooting spot for archery! I asked a man if he knew about the area and he stated that people come there to practice. I give this park 5 stars for being very beautiful to look at during all seasons, having lots of choices to choose from things to do and being large enough to gather your thoughts but not too large that you get lost.

A great park with lots to see. I enjoyed walking around, and the kids liked the playground structures. There is also an aquatic center--may need to go back in the summer 😉

Really cool park. We were way in the back at a building you can rent for parties at a very reasonable rate. In the building there is a kitchen and very clean restrooms. There are also tables and chairs inside. Plenty of picnic tables outside side. We really enjoyed the 9 hole frisbee golf course here. It had been years since I last played. They kids loved it too although there could not keep up with me! Great park. Check it out.

This pool is great! It's zero depth for quite a bit of the edge so it's perfect for small kids. Great treats for cheap. Abundance of chairs, plenty of shaded spots, big AND small water slides, deep diving pool make this place a huge hit for my whole family every time we go there!

What's not to like? Check it out!

Just went swimming there, but it looks like a good place for many things to do

Went there to see how we lived way back when.. The Buckskinners were Awesome people guy there showed my Grandson how to make a wooden dowel pin peg and I got schooling on old rifles by a young gentleman that was very knowledgeable on the subject I thought it would be boring to go cause it was my wife's idea to go lol" but it was very fun and good times!

Nice aquatic center, historic fort and beautiful trees! The shelters are great for a gathering.

Any time during the day there's deer and rabbits roaming around, and very close to it is an aquatic center that I take my daughter to pretty often, down the way a bit is a really nice archery range that I frequent a lot as well, good place to ride bikes and there's a few pokestops and gyms there if you're into that kinda think!

Great archery shooting area. Targets are a little worn out. So make sure to donate, to help replace the targets.

Nice park with good history

Nice park and shelter. Good place to let kids be kids. They can play at the park, catch frogs, and you can even grill out here. Fun times!

This is a wonderful park. We were there for a football game but they also have a nice Park area, tennis courts and an aquatic center.

Really nice park. A lot of open space, plenty of picnic tables and shelters around and right next to the Fort Atkinson Aquatic Center. What more can you ask for.

Awesome spot for family/work get together!

Beautiful park! Plenty to do in nice weather, would also be great for pick nicks and outdoor time with family and friends.

Clean bathrooms all the time, and friendly ppl everywhere, with great space, and in walking distance​ from an awesome pool!!! We love it there, and catch many frogs and toads!!!

Love this park and the aquatic center. One of the few fun and affordable places left to spend an afternoon.
