Park Road Books

My all-time favorite mom and pop book store!! It's located in the Park Road Shopping Center. There are plenty of parking spaces so it's not bad. It's a cute, quaint little book store. From the moment you step in, you can smell the books and automatically are bombarded with different books and accessories. They have different sections. Fiction, nonfiction, crime, languages, and even school work books. They have a kids' corner and different seating options in the middle of the store in case you want to preview a book. It has a nice cozy feel to it, and the employees are very helpful if you have any questions or need help finding a certain book. If you're a fan of books and in this shopping center, definitely check them out.

Great independent bookstore! They had a great selection of new books, classics and a variety of genres. You can pre-order some of the most anticipated books coming soon. The staff was friendly and they have a cozy little spot to read. It’s one of those where you can browse and never want to leave.

I am a sucker for independent bookstores, and Park Road Books in Charlotte didn’t disappoint. It’s located in the Park Road shopping center, a few miles from uptown Charlotte.

Their collection of books of various genres—poetry, fiction, biographies among others was decent. They’ve an entire section dedicated to Children’s books in the back of the bookstore. They also have couches to sit in the back. Besides books, they also sell cards, glasses, and other items.

Overall, it’s a great independent bookstore that you should consider supporting in Charlotte. I’ll be back here.

I'm grateful to have a local bookstore to support! This is such a lovely, cozy spot with a large selection of books, puzzles, and cards. Costs are comparable to any chain bookstore. It is such a comfortable space! Between the dog, comfy couches, and relaxed atmosphere, I felt like I was in my living room. I also appreciate the shelves of staff picks and recommendations.

This indie bookstore is a local treasure for good reason. Every customer gets 100% thoughtful attention. Remarkable knowledge of the market, and a special relationship with local authors. Go feel welcome and give yourself a gift. And if you're buying a gift, the wrapping is on the house.

Park Rd Books is an absolute gem! everyone who works there is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. it's a fun place to browse and even when I'm not looking for a specific book, I usually end up getting something, like the jigsaw puzzle I bought yesterday. :)

Great store - go pickup a signed copy of Splitting Pennies on display now! We need to support our local bookstores! This is not only a great bookstore but they have tons of books for children. Store is clean, has a great selection, and in a convenient and well kept part of Charlotte.

When I enter this local establishment I was struck with joy. I’ve grown up in this area and now realize what a crime it was for me not to come here sooner.
The staff was friendly, inviting and very helpful. I did not feel judged by them when asking simple questions.
It is a great place to go to get inspiration to open up a book and dive in. As a future educator I see how engaging Park Road Books could be for challenged readers.

These folk are super cordial. They order books for and try to get them in asap. I just picked up Boundaries and Waking Up White a month ago. I appreciate brick and mortar bookstores so they are my go to.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
