It's an amazing European style bakery I have gone to my whole life! A stop in Buffalo is not complete without their almond ring and cream-filled/chocolate-topped donut.
They have seasonal treats like Fastnachts and Pączki. Along with donuts, they have breads, cakes, and cookies.
They have a room with tables and chairs so you can enjoy your coffee and donut while chatting with friends or just relaxing.

Been getting the cherry stolen since I was a kid (30+ years) and absolutely love it! I have a huge sweet tooth and I think this is my favorite dessert in the world. A real god Parisian pain a chocolat or a Parisian classic fruit tart are neck and neck.

A hidden gem. Once you order a whip cream birthday or anytime cake your hooked. Their cookies and speciality items like exclairs and cream horns are just yummy. I do believe they are gluten free on some items. You'd have to check. Never disappointed. Walnut meltaway great for parties.

Made it back to Buffalo and my favorite bakery in the country...Wolter's! Their pastries are always fresh and just like my Grandma made when she was alive...and the white sugar chocolate chip cookies are my favorite cookie! I travel for work, and this bakery makes a trip to Buffalo in winter be a happy thought! :)

Stumbled upon this bakery and now I know there's no need to find another bakery. In this day and age with prefab baked goods... This place is the real deal. Fresh breads and baked goods.
Need to try more cakes... My family is stuck on the chocolate truffle cake. Have had spices of carrot. All are fantastic and fresh

A good Friend recommended this Bakery a few years ago, I'm not from the area and wasn't familiar. But every time I'm in the vicinity, I stop! Absolutely fantastic! From the Almond Rings, cookies, pastries, you name it! Love this place!

I have been going to Wolter's Bakery for over 50 years . What makes the experience worthwhile besides the delicious baked goods is the atmosphere. Cosy, warm and friendly. The staff remember their customers and always inquire after family members. I am a home baker so don't really need to enter any bakery but when in Williamsville I can not help myself ! Everything brought home in their distinct white bags is immediately enjoyed. They deserve a lot of credit for remaining a unique family business and I hope they never change.

Just finished the last Mexican wedding cake Christmas cookie! They were so delicious! I get them every year. I wish Wolter's made them year round but then they might not be so special. Everything I have purchased here has been extremely good! Love this bakery ❤

Best stollen I've had in a while!

Always delicious baked goods. We've been getting birthday cakes from here for years, never disappointed. They're pastries are good too.

Wolter's has SO much to love about it. Like all bakeries, there will be some stuff you adore and others might not be for you.

What we LOVE:
- kind and warm employees
- FANTASTIC challah breads! Not as eggy as most traditional challot, and a tad sweeter.. very nommy! And round during Rosh Hashanah!
- Cookies! I adore their large chocolate chip or white raisin cookies.. they have just the right blend of sweet and salty, soft yet crumby.. perfection!
- accommodating: when asked if they could make a vegan challah, the owner embraced the challenge and created a *great* recipe! Still only a special-order item, I think in many ways it is more nommy than the regular ones!
- community: they have been generous in the past with fundraising efforts.. so lovely!

What I look forward to: an occasional napoleon (layered pastry with custard or cream filling and frosted and chocolate top) .. although I think the hard frosted top takes away from the experience (when cutting it the entire thing falls apart since it is so rigid), it's still a real treat 🤗

I've had nothing but wonderful interactions with Wolter's. My stepdaughter is vegan and Wendi experimented and created a truly delicious challah loaf that was Vegan so that we could all celebrate Shabbat together. Plus, best fingerprint cookies EVER
