Had a gnarly foot injury 7 months ago and turned to Big River Foot Company for comfort. First pair I purchased were great but way too soft, so I returned them a week later no questions asked, and got another pair that works better and will aid the healing process. Cornelius & Jon went above and beyond! The inserts Big River Footwear sells are GREAT! High arch, flat feet, foot issues, etc? ....go here! Its WAY less expensive then the place down the street! Oh and they have a good selection of socks!

I went in a few days ago, leaving the Nike store and not being satisfied. This place was FANTASTIC. The young lady who serviced me was African American, and I hate that I forgot her name, but she was A WALKING BILLBOARD FOR AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE.
She was so kind, very knowledgeable, and patient. They offered me water and told me about the different brands and how each one could help. She even put the shoes on for me and laced them. After I checked out, she walked me out and held the door open for me. Wonderful visit!

Christina helped me find a great pair of sneakers! My hokas had worn down super fast and she helped me find something just as comfortable and cute but more durable. They have a great selection and fantastic shoe specialists!

My podiatrist sent me to Big River for a specific type of shoe. Victoria greeted me as soon as I walked in the door and was very helpful. She gave me the royal treatment (put my shoes on and tied them for me, even gave me a bottle of water while I waited for her to get my pair from the back). She was super sweet. 10/10 recommend this store!!

I went there because the Brooks I bought at Fleet Feet (now closed) YEARS ago were so worn out snd falling apart. I purchased other shoes over the years, but none were comfortable like the Brooks. At Big River the nicest salesperson examined my feet on a special machine. Then he brought out three different brands to try on. ALL of them were wonderful, but the Brooks were the best. Now I have new Brooks that fit perfectly and cause no pain. They are super. I will buy all my athletic shoes there.

Preston was terrific and helped me reorder shoes and inserts for my daughter in NOLA. This was done over the phone quickly and efficiently! Great store and great service!

Cornelius was so helpful and very knowledgeable! I Highly recommend going in and getting your feet scanned and getting some inserts for your posture issues.

Quick service. Great place to get New Balance shoes.

Customer service was exceptional including the electronics that measure and evaluate your feet structure. Preston showed a sincere interest when listening to my preferences and helping me to select the best shoes to fit those preferences. Very good shoes (990v6) that provide support and comfort with new improved foam insoles. Have purchased shoes there for many years and continue to recommend it highly.

This review is long overdue, but I wanted to say how much I appreciated Chase Gosserand's help when I was searching for new shoes back in May. I only buy New Balance and was looking for a shoe that would provide a significant amount of support for a long vacation we were going on. I arrived looking for a pair of 1080's but the newer version. However, due to the amount of walking we would be doing, he recommended the 990GL and they did not disappoint. I was able to walk upwards of 18,000 steps a day pain-free. He also recommended new insoles (casual therapeutic) for my other shoes that still had some life in them and using those are like walking on a cloud! Highly recommend New Balance store in Baton Rouge and Chase to help anyone find a great pair of shoes.

Cornelius was amazing with me and my problem feet. He chose the very best shoe and arch support for me. I told him that I had issues especially with one foot that swells and he taught me a new technique how to tie my shoes and it was a complete game changer!!! Thank you so very much Cornelius! Sales people are very knowledgeable and helpful. They have a 45 day satisfaction guarantee. I ended up needing a half size larger; called the store and asked them to ship it to me, which they happily did.

I have new AFO leg braces and needed special shoes to fit them. Preston Brian was so helpful and patient, helping me get into and out of several pairs of shoes. He said he loves working at New Balance because he knows he’s really helping people instead of just selling them something to put on their feet. I was very impressed!
