I cannot say enough. Absolutely beautiful rooms and very large living space. I was more impressed by the Chef in the restaurant. Not only did the food taste great...but plate presentation was Michelin Star worthy. Absolutely a great experience all the way around. Will definitely recommend.

We were in cabin 12. What a BEAUTIFUL cabin! Very spacious, glorious hot tub, perfectly decorated and a lovely view for watching wildlife with morning coffee (not real fond of the one cup at a time Keurig coffee maker). FYI, bring your own coffee creamer and sugar as they only supply the hotel type packets.
Do yourself a favor and get the “Granny’s Chicken “ from the restaurant. Get the jalapeño bacon gravy on the side, if you are unsure of it. But, let me tell y’all, we about licked the bowl clean. That’s some good stuff!
Every staff member we came in contact to was almost like family!
Steph at the restaurant was OUTSTANDING the times we were there. She is a true gem of a Server/Restaurant staff! Breakfast each morning was DELICIOUS!
Stephanie who did my husband’s massage was also OUTSTANDING! She explained things that we never knew about his body (cancer, spinal cord injury, etc)
Definitely take the trail ride on the horses! It was WONDERFUL!
Thank you for such a wonderful weekend! We will be back!

My husband and I have been to Forrest Hills many times over the years and always have a wonderful time. We were there most recently January 2024. The staff is amazing - so wonderful and always delightful to interact with! The cabins and grounds are perfect for a little romantic getaway. It's so peaceful and beautiful regardless of what time of year you visit. It's close enough to daytime activities off-site and yet far enough away to really feel like you're getting away from the world. We will definitely be back! The horseback riding is a favorite activity and the folks who run the stables are just as delightful as the resort staff. Highly recommend!!!

Ok so I might share multiple reviews because we are locals! Our first stay was for our triple anniversary and birthdays on April 15th 2024! The picnic baskets have the best sandwichs we have had local and I am comparing them right up there with our Hawaiian sandwiches! Wr both had steak and lobstertail. This is a hidden gem! OMG the Brussels are incredible@ Steph will always go above and beyond. The wines are amazing we always stay in a cupid cabin. Amazing. Honestly everyone here from the front desk to the waste staff to the food to everything has always exceeded our expectations and I want to say mine are very high

We didn’t want to leave. We eloped and honeymooned there at the resort and it was perfect. Great cabin, excellent service, delicious meals, amazing scenery, dreamy wedding. Steve and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We book this place to hold our elopement and this place did not disappoint. From the horse and carriage coming to pick me up to meeting my partner at one of their beautiful gardens. I love this quiet gateway. It was everything that we needed. However make sure you gas up and grab extra food from the market before coming of main highway. No stores around for a good few miles.

My fiancé booked Cupids Cabin for my birthday. My family and I stayed at this resort for my sister's wedding back in 2020! When I stayed with my family in 2020, we had the best time! We stayed in one huge cabin that fit all 32 family members, the chapel was absolutely beautiful, the wedding was absolutely stunning as the property was filled with beautiful flowers/gardens, and the staff was extremely friendly. When my fiancé booked this resort he had no idea this was where my sister’s wedding was held. As mentioned above, we stayed in Cupids Cabin. Cabin #12 and let me just say I don’t have words to describe how incredible our stay was! We stayed for three nights/four days. Upon arrival, we were greeted so kindly and given a run down of our stay as well as all of the information we needed, if I remember correctly the man who greeted us was Shawn. He was super charismatic and helpful! Upon arriving at our cabin, my fiancé and I were truly amazed. Not only did everything smell nice and clean, the whole place was beautifully designed and decorated! I was speechless at how cute and quaint our cabin was. We had a microwave, fridge/freezer, fireplace, king bed, spacious bathroom and, our favorite part, a large jacuzzi tub! When we inspected the cabin, we knew we were going to have the best time! Breakfast was complimentary with our stay, and wow! The food was phenomenal and the staff was so inviting. We ate at the secret garden for dinner one night. I ordered the 10oz ribeye with mashed potatoes, broccoli and I even added a lobster tail. My fiancé ordered the fried pork steak, mashed potatoes and micro greens. We both were simply amazed with how well the food was cooked/prepared. We both work in the service industry, so to say our server was excellent is an understatement. The young man who served us blew my mind away with his service, knowledge of the menu and kindness. Moving on to activities, we both were given two free admissions passes to Consolidated Gold Mine, located just 20 mins from the resort. The cave was definitely an experience and so was the free gold panning. Please check them out as they did not disappoint. On the property at Forrest Hills, we paid for the adventure package, so we went horseback riding! I’m emotional typing this because the horses were so sweet and well taken care of. To know the animals are treated with such good care means everything to me. Our instructor, Carly and Grace, were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. You could tell they really love what they do and highly respect the horses and management. I was very appreciative of that. The trail was beautiful and again, I have no words. One last thing that was included in our adventure package was a picnic basket for two. Included amazing amazing food and you could tell a lot of thought and effort was put into each meal. We even got a picnic basket (bag) that we were able to keep for a souvenir. With all of that being said, I really love Dahlonega and the surrounding areas, but we really didn’t even have to leave the property. I wouldn’t have minded staying there the whole time…that’s just how amazing and relaxing it was. Thank you to the staff for such an amazing trip. We will definitely be back, and if you haven’t already, book this resort. I promise it’s worth every penny. Go and see for yourself!

My husband and I flew to Georgia from Michigan for our honeymoon at Forest Hills Resort. We stayed for four days. The staff we're pleasant during our stay. Shout out to Moe at the front desk! She was very sweet to us. The cabin was clean. Not a lot to do at the resort in Spring time. We spent time going to nearby state parks and driving to the Atlanta aquarium. While there is free wifi...I'd like to mention that there is basic TV channels and no streaming service (Netflix,Hulu, etc.) if this is important to you, be prepared. The furniture is a little outdated. The chairs to the dining table are stained. We checked out the onsite spa for a couples massage and enjoyed our service with the ladies there. We had also booked a carriage ride which was a good experience. We tried their couples dining and restaurant on site. The food is yummy... Especially their pizza. Overall my husband and I would like to visit again in the future!

We brought a group of 12 couples for a marriage retreat and had the absolute best time! We stayed in Mountain Laurel Inn. The lodging housed all the couples, had a meeting space, and a conference room. It was so nice to hold our retreat sessions within the same building. For each meal we ate in Hideaway Dining and was blown away. It was obvious that the buffet was homemade because everything was so delicious. The staff was incredible! For part of the retreat we went on a wagon ride to a river house. That dinner was so magical and the best part of the weekend for every couple. I’m so thankful we booked here for our retreat and will be coming back!

My family and I were there for New Year's and we loved it, I can say that it was the best vacation in recent years... I totally recommend this place, super beautiful, clean and spacious rooms, good attention from the administrative staff... the Massages are fabulous in that place, we were missing days to continue enjoying…. I hope to come back soon .

Beautiful property, excellent food, cozy cabins & exceptionally welcoming people! We came to Forrest Hills Resort as an escape while we were grieving the loss of our beloved dog. Our home was empty & we needed to get away from a big city & an empty house. We were greeted by the most beautiful property full of colorful fall leaves, crisp cool air, the calmness & serenity of nature along with the cutest little cabin for 2. We got way more than what we signed up for as we were welcomed & loved on by the entire staff including the owner & his lovely wife. They had no idea who we were or what we we’re going through but they treated us like we were family. We got a couples massage that was one of the best massages we have ever had by two of the sweetest ladies we have ever met! Everyone at the restaurant was just delightfully kind & warm to us & the food was delicious! Compliments to the chefs! We truly had such a wonderful time & it was just the healing we needed. We found this beautiful place on a whim of desperation to get away & will be a customer for life as we cannot wait to return to this hidden gem!

Our Bluebird Cabin with a king suite and hot tub is a very magical place. This gem is located just outside of Atlanta, Georgia. They offer horseback riding, trails to walk on, and a gift shop. This cabin was so comfortable and peaceful. The bed is soft, and the pillows are perfect. We enjoyed such a great night of sleep. We enjoyed the amenities that were left in our room for extra comfort, such as extra towels, pillows, blankets, and cosmetic supplies. They had free WIFI that was easy to log into. Breakfast was included. It was served to us by super-friendly workers. Everything was delicious. The property is absolutely gorgeous! They host weddings here, and there is a Secret Garden and gazebo. It's like a page out of a fairytale. Magical! We hated leaving, but we will be back again soon!

Can’t wait to come back!

My wife and I came for a short getaway before Christmas without the kids. The staff who we interacted with were very friendly.

We stayed in cabin 19, it was great and the jacuzzi in the bedroom was the icing on top. There a Keurig, microwave and mini fridge/freezer. Also some dishes including coffee mugs provided in the cabinet.

The breakfast buffet was good, reminded me of a toned down Shoney’s.

Supper in the restaurant was great with good service. Stephanie was our server, she was awesome!

We look forward to returning with our children in the future.

We did the horseback riding for my niece’s birthday and everyone we encountered was AMAZING! From the booking to the ladies who rode/walked the trail with us. We had a huge party of 10 all together with 3 children who had never rode before. They were patient with all the kids and even walked the trail with one of them. We will definitely be back and we always share the name when people ask where to go!!

We found this place to absolutely beyond our expectations. Rooms were clean and spacious, and who can argue with a built-in hot tub? The location is incredible. You are 20 minutes to downtown Dahlonega, and only 40 minutes from Helen. The resort itself maintains everybit the country rustic atmoshpere, with 140 acres of mountain views and walking trails. Lastly, I found all of the staff to always be accomodating, and very friendly. From the resturant (all you can eat country buffet) to the front desk. We often met with Daniella who was always extremely helpful, nice and knowledgable to ensure our perfect vacation. Absolutely, and whole-heartedly recommend!

Booked a week long honeymoon for my wife and I first week in October. Cupids Cabin with hot tub fireplace (gas) and complete privacy. Had a couple minor issues the first night and the maintenance staff didn't waste time to come over figure out what was needed and fix the issues. Breakfast is filling and homemade. Office staff was wonderful. The manager of the stable, Mitzi and staff was fantastic friendly and a pure joy to be with. They put nothing but love into the horses and stable.
We have nothing but great words about Forrest Hills Resort
Looking forward to making it a family stay next time
