This post office is where I pick up my mails. But my experience last week with Debbie Saturday, August 6 is totally difference from my experience on July 22 with unknown Postal worker, was forced to pick up large package that was a wrong shipment. The same postal worker was working on Saturday with Debbie on August 6, at the cashier counter. I don’t know her name but the post office will know who she is. She forced me to pick up large package that was a wrong shipment to the post office on July 22. When I told her that this is a wrong order that I will not take it. She said to me you must take it and to deal with it. I was astonished and disbelief at her statement. She was nasty and unprofessional. She supposed to be working at the back office sorting and picking up mails not at the front counter. The wrong order that I was forced to pick up on July 22 is still seating in my house will be donated or give away per insurance company. Another large package was placed at the postal box this time with a key placed in my box. Second shipment order that was a wrong order. I stand in line and encounter with Debbie. I told Debbie that this is not what my doctor ask the insurance company to order for me. Same thing I told postal worker on July 22. Debbie was professional and took the wrong shipment back from me to be ship back to the sender. Debbie is the type of person the postal office need to work at the front counter. She has the highest and professional manner to represent the postal worker. All the bad reviews may be because of the lady that encountered with me on July 22. Thanks Debbie.

I honestly love this post office, despite many of the bad reviews. I’m here at least once a week or more. The ladies that work here are always super sweet to me and my son when we come in. Everyone works hard to get customers in and out fast.

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews here. This is the only post office my husband and I have used for the past two years and they’ve always been friendly, quick, and helpful. You’re not going to the post office to make a new friend and hang out, you’re going there to send mail… they’re good at that.

Don't understand the horrible rating. People here are so friendly and helpful. Place is clean and well organized.

I'm not sure if these negative reviews are intended for a specific mail carrier from this post office but I had a great experience this morning.

I went in to ship packages to family for the holidays. I was trying to figure out which box would be best based on prices in the lobby. An employee must've been able to tell I was unsure so she offered her help. She asked if my items were fragile and told me I could help pad the box with some of the free paper envelopes, then she went in the back and grabbed a box of packing peanuts for me to use for free that was left by a customer. Once I had everything packed, a man named Dom helped me checkout. He was very polite and helpful, making sure I marked my packages "fragile" and also that I knew projected arrival dates, tracking #, confirming my addresses, etc. The people that work here are excellent, don't be afraid to go to this location!

I used to maintain a PO Box at this location - back in the early 90's when it was still the main post office for San Diego. I never had any problem with getting my mail as the box section was always open. For regular stuff, the office has more counter stations than neighborhood post offices. But then, this one always has more customers so it balances out.

Of late, I've usually been hitting this place up after hours. And thus miss the daytime rush. As such, I deal only with the night crew at the box section window. Those guys have been there forever. They know their stuff and are exceptionally helpful. It's always been a pleasure dealing with those guys.

I've had some fun conversations with the staff at this location but I also distinctively remember one time a male counter associate was making not only his job more difficult but also purposefully making my experience way tougher than it had to be. Aside from him possibly having a bad day that day, this is a great post office.

I had a very good experience here! The staff were very fast and friendly. I was clueless about details of sending a package and a couple of the staff members helped me out a lot! It saved me money and time and I really appreciated the excellent customer service. :)

Clean and organized. Kim was really friendly when I made a mistake.

This place was very busy but the line was moving really fast! It seems like they have a good system going. I ended up not being able to send my package but can appreciate not being stuck at the post office all day.

Had a shipper forget my apartment number on label, was marked return to sender. The nice ladies at this post office managed to intercept it and deliver it to me same day. Hassle free. Thanks to the great employees at this location for saving me a large headache.

This post office - on Midway Drive - is San Diego's main post office and most of the mail form other postal agencies eventually makes it's way through this post office ; it is also one of the primary locations in which to drop tax returns before the midnight deadline in April.
You can get just about anything that you need done at this post office, from passport applications to delivery of high security mail. The main building was moved North about 1/2 a block to a new location over a decade ago.
This post office still is central to everything; the staff are all very adept at postal laws and regulations, and provide the same high quality customer service as do all postal agency offices.

This was the quickest, easiest, most pleasant experience I have ever had at a post office. I was dreading doing there to mail some priority letters. And boy was I wrong. The ladies in there are the best!

Great shop. Got a mailbox there because I was moving and needed some flexibility as far as my address. And turned out they had everything i needed to pack and move! Ask for Christan he help you out.

I swear, the postal service is the only government servos e that actually works for the people. God bless these dedicated people

very helpful staff helped me intercept my package so i didnt have to wait thank you... the first person couldent help me but the managers are perfect knew everything..

Love this location. Easty to park and fast service. The staff here is courteous, knowlegable and efficient.

Fast friendly service & they had post card stamps... unlike my hotel.

Sometimes the lines get a tad long but there is always staff there helping people in the lines. Ive always had a good experience here
