Edelweiss Highlands

This place is awesome! We just happened to drive by this gem and were intrigued with the name. It didn’t disappoint. This beautiful home was converted into a gorgeous and inviting venue with both indoor and outdoor ( weather cooperating ) sections to indulge in these beautiful dessert masterpieces! These limited indulgences not only look good, they are decadent and delicious! We ordered the chocolate potato, key lime , peanut butter, and mushroom tarts! They were ALL sublime!

Edelweiss Pastry Boutique is a must visit if you happen to be in the Highlands area. You’ll be impressed!!! Every pastry is a true piece of art made with phenomenal attention to detail. It’s hard to believe that everything is edible and you’ll be truly amazed at every pastry’s combination of flavors, textures and fillings in one. Believe me, eating a sweet treat at this place will turn into an unforgettable experience! My standing ovation to the pastry chef Oksana!!!

Such a beautiful spot. We had the key lime tart and it had a layer of chocolate mousse on top. I'm sad we missed the vegan treats today but this was worth a little cheat

This place is an absolute must for any visit to Highlands! Edelweiss Pastry Boutique has delicious pastries and coffee. Chef Oksana Shchelgachova is quite the talented and trained pastry chef.

My husband and I went while visiting Highlands and Cashiers. I definitely have a sweet tooth (I used to be an assistant pastry chef at a bakery in Alpharetta, GA) and we could smell freshly baked croissants from outside. Once inside, we got coffee, an Almond Croissant, L'Opera, Napoleon Cake, Gold Potato (it's chocolate!), Pumpkin Petit, Honey Cake, and her famous "The Boletus" or "Eat Me Now" Petit Gateaux. I could die happy now after eating here. Obviously, we couldn't eat all of that delicious goodness immediately, so we brought it back and I'm sure we'll devour the rest tonight.

Chef Oksana makes absolutely BEAUTIFUL works of edible art. This was quite the treat and I'm so glad we found her bakery boutique!!

Words truly cannot describe this bakery! I have been seeing post on Facebook about this bakery and have been very eager to try it. The bakery is absolutely beautiful, from the outside to the inside. The pastries/ baked goods are beautiful. They are truly works of art. I walked out with four different items and each one was absolutely phenomenal. I would highly recommend stopping here during your visit to the Highlands area.

What a beautiful setting for some coffee ☕ and pastries. We enjoyed the warm afternoon breeze while sitting on the covered porch. I promise that you have never eaten anything so beautiful- each pastry is a work of art. We are already planning our next trip, or two.

We loved her pastries for a long time before it even opened. We love their cakes and Oksana is an awesome pastry chef and a great person. It is a bit different to American palate but, sooner or later you will start to enjoy it. BON APPÉTIT

Relaxing treat! Beautiful and tasty! Front porch with pastoral setting landscaping neat and yet lush. Best coffee in Highlands served in nice china.

Edelweiss, Edelweiss... 🎶. Nothing like an artful purchase that you can photo, enjoy, become inspired by but do not have pack and carry. That is unless you eat too much 😆! In that case, no worries, you can hike it off in the cool mountains. Sit on the porch and enjoy the beauty all around. The house is even a soft white like the Eidelweisss flower. I ordered their honey cake. It was stacked with flavor. This is a very special place. A large slice of honey cake ( a sweet share) will set you back about 10.00 with tax and a cute red mushroom will cost 20.00 with tax. It still isn't terribly high if you balance it off with a healthy meal fast and a free hike to see a Waterfall. Yes, it is ok to have desert for lunch.
😋... My unique slice of heaven was truely a priceless experience! No regrets. Treat someone very special ( including yourself) to a visit here for an occasion that is worth remembering 🎂 ✨. As a traveler with a heart, I loved the mini heart ... ❤ !

Almond croissant was perfect! One of the best I ever had. The other desserts we had were amazing too. Beautiful outdoor seating as well.

Amazing.
I bought 2 cinnamon rolls, 2 apple pastries, and 2 chocolate croissants, having every intention of sharing once I got home. Only one single cinnamon roll survived the drive. The rest were quickly consumed and deeply enjoyed by me.
