I picked this dental office due to the great reviews, and they did not disappoint. Gina, at the front desk, is so helpful & kind. John, the assistant, gave a thorough explanation of everything that was done, answering any questions and providing reassurance. He is so kind and patient. Dr. Anthony reviewed X-rays with me on the TV screen right in front of my dental chair. This is a very clean, state of the art dental office with digital x-rays. And who doesn't love a warm lavender towelette for your face when you're done! That was a bonus for me. I missed seeing the Golden, which I think is such a great plus (I'm partial since I have 2 at home)!

Always a quick and painless experience. Love the TVs and weighted blanket while they work on your mouth! I know they can make other accommodations to those that might have extra needs.

I had a cemented in retainer on my bottom teeth for 20+ years. This was my first dentist in years that agreed it was time to remove. Love their membership, everyone is very professional and nice!

This is a great office! Very calm vibe. Staff are professional and friendly. This is such a pleasant difference from any other dental office I've been in.

I had an overwhelmingly positive experience with Dr. Anthony and his team today! As a former business owner, myself—beyond the basic expectations of courtesy, respect, professionalism, and excellent service—I also value (but rarely encounter) genuine warmth, kindness, and treating customers like family. And I was very pleasantly surprised to have experienced the latter from everyone I encountered at Kansas Dental Center today.

Office manager, Gina, went out of her way both during the intake and scheduling process—and again when I arrived—to make me feel welcomed, taken care of, and at ease.

Hygienist, Lisset, was very gentle and thorough—and as an introvert, I greatly appreciated the quiet and tranquil environment during the cleaning, without any forced conversation.

Dr. Anthony, in addition to being obviously very knowledgeable about and confident in his craft, was warm, personable, and patient, and took the time to answer every one of my questions. I never once felt rushed, and I was encouraged to be thorough in addressing all of my concerns with him. During the exam with Dr. Anthony, I was able to view in real-time on a large screen the beautiful and crisp images from the digital radiograph and intaoral camera, which made for a much clearer and more effective discussion.

On top of all of this, the office is beautifully appointed, very peaceful and serene, and remarkably clean—and that is not something I can often say about many public spaces.

All in all, I could not have been more impressed with or appreciative of the experience! :)

There is always a risk when posting a review like this that the office will get very busy and that it will become difficult in the future to get an appointment when word gets out what an exceptional practice this is. But Dr. Anthony and his team are doing everything right, and they deserve to be publicly recognized for their efforts. I wish them every success!!

Altogether I had a great first-time experience at a new-to-me dental practice, which I had approached with some apprehension as I had been with my previous dentist for many years. Everyone made me feel welcome. It's a clean and attractive office, with what appears to be fairly new high-tech equipment, including a superfast all-around imaging apparatus. And best of all, their bitewing imaging equipment neither hurts your mouth NOR makes you gag, which is a HUGE improvement! I felt well-protected from rays during all x-rays/imaging, whereas in the past, I'd sometimes had to ask for protective gear. Dr. Papinsick himself did the teeth cleaning since I was a new patient, and was very thorough. I was able to view my 360-degree images on a large screen on-the-spot(!) while he explained everything I was looking at and let me know what was good (or not), something that's never been available to me at any previous dentist. Both he and John, his dental assistant, answered all my questions, and let me know what would be happening during the process, all of which seemed to be done using much newer/better tools. One tip…the parking lot and “front” entrance are around the back of the building.

My dentist retired and Dr. Papinsick was highly recommended. As soon as you arrive, they treat you like family. Dr. Papinsick is a true professional, explaining the procedure and making sure that you are comfortable. It was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend this office and Dr. Papinsick. My thanks to the whole office!

Kansas Dental Center is the first dental office I actually enjoy visiting! The entire staff is very friendly. Having baking or nature shows on the overhead TV during cleanings is very enjoyable. And petting Penny the office golden retriever is the ultimate end to your visit!

Great atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I left this place because of switching jobs that took me to a different part of the metro but I quickly came right back when I had the opportunity. You also get to watch TV while they do their work on you.

Friendly, fast, reliable. They don't try to sell you on things you don't really need. They do what is covered by your insurance and no more so there aren't any surprise payments. My kids love the TVs, balloon, and dog cuddles they get when they go. We love KDC!

I’ve been going to the Kansas Dental Center for about 2 years now. They helped get my dental health back in order after too many years of not going to the dentist. The hygienists were gentle and understanding of my anxiety. Dr Papinsick is very knowledgeable and conscientious in mitigating as much pain as possible. He was also very helpful preparing me for my Antarctic deployment. One of the most extensive exams either of us had seen. I could not recommend a dentist more.

First time going and they got me in super quick. The entire staff was super nice and the office was immaculate. Dr. Papinsick was so thorough and helpful. Highly recommend!

Great experience. Very welcoming environment. The assistant that I was has WONDERFUL at explaining everything and made me feel so comfortable through the entire process

Pros:
1) Very professional (namely in their response to coronavirus, which reflects how they handle general safety)
2) Friendly staff/dentist
3) Not a chain (going to count this as a pro, though I’m sure some count it as a con)
4) Good explanations

Cons:
1) Dentist’s cleaning style is about 50% harsher than I’m used to - maybe I’ve been pampered by previous dentists, but I can’t say I’m a fan of the quick & broad scouring with the metal hook tool
1b) 2021 update: they have a hygienist now

2) To be fair, this isn’t really a terrible con. But the dentist is relatively young (~35). That comes with a myriad of pros as well, but overall I figure the associated lack of experience is likely worth mentioning (since most dentists I’ve been to are 55+)

Info:
1) They have a TV on an arm they can move around, so that you can watch it while they work.

Dr. Papinsick and his staff make you feel comfortable from the time you walk in the front door until you leave. If anyone has a fear for the dentist office this is the place to come because they are very gentle and talk to you and make sure you are comfortable all the way through the procedure. Love this place would never go anywhere else!

The office is clean and professional. The staff is friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough good things about this service. They did an amazing job on my crown. I’m very satisfied.

Lysett is awesome and always does a great job. She is extremely thoughtful and happens to remember a lot of our past conversations regarding my oral health as well as my personal life. It makes me feel like a valued patient and eases the anxiety of going to the dentist.

Gina is always smiling when I walk in and always does a wonderful job getting me checked in and scheduled.

I've had limited interactions with John but he is always extremely nice and has done a great job.

Anthony is always pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. He has done a fantastic job of helping get my oral health under control.

Penny (the dog) is not there often but it's always a special treat when she is.

Everyone here is so nice! I felt very comfortable with all the staff. They are attentive and kind. The TVs in the rooms are iconic. I love that I can watch a show while getting work done to help decrease the anxiety I have while at the dentist. Thanks for making a not so pleasant experience (going to the dentist) great!

Today was my first time to Kansas Dental Center and I will definitely be back! The scheduling/insurance/paperwork was easy and Gina at the front desk was so friendly and very helpful! The dental hygienist was a very sweet lady and did a great job on my cleaning and X-rays. Dr Papinsick was also very kind, thorough, and happily answered my questions. Highly recommend!

Kansas Dental Center is always a positive experience, one that makes you excited to go to the dentist. Very clean, efficient and friendly staff, and a great environment. They have lots of small touches that make it worth going back. Warm face towels at the end of your cleaning, tvs above your seats with enjoyable viewing, and more. Very consistent treatment & favorite dental center around!
