Villa Grande Mexican Restaurant

Took the family here for dinner a few weeks back, the food was really good, everything tasted fresh, nice sized portions. Couldn’t stop eating the salsa 😁 and who doesn't like fried ice cream!
The staff was friendly and the service was good. Atmosphere was okay. I thought the Margaritas were a bit pricey, but regardless, the food was great, and we will definitely be back when we are in the area.

This is a neighborhood authentic Mexican restaurant that has the most delicious food. The service is great, the food is delicious, and their drinks are beautifully presented. I highly recommend the shrimp tacos with lime a d clinantro rice.

We are not from this area, but Villa Grande was recommended so we gave it a try. Having lived almost two decades in San Antonio, we are fairly discriminating about Mexican restaurants. Villa Grande hit all the right buttons. In three visits, I have ordered different combination plates. Everything was great! Whatever you order here will be excellent.

Food was good. I had the avocado cheese soup. Delicious. Not much to it. Chicken broth with a little spice, a few pieces of carrots, avocado slices, & melted cheese on the bottom of the bowl. Taco salad was good. I asked for no rice, but it was still on the salad. I won't send food back, so I made do. Either way, it was delicious.
They had 3 birthday parties, one of which was for my friend. The whole restaurant sang her happy birthday 🎂. It really was a lot of fun.

Love Villa Grande, easily the best Mexican food around the area!

When you walk in you can will immediately encounter the smell of fresh charro beans and home made tortilla chips and it gets the mouth watering for me right away!

The chips were made from nice thin tortillas, be sure to ask for the spicy salsa, and the creamy queso with beef has a deep smokey flavor that lingers and was a real delight.

We enjoyed the tacos and carne asada, with sopapillas , I high recommend all the dishes we tried.

The margarita was strong and delicious!!

The staff were very warm welcoming and professional, we never waited for more than a few seconds for anything and our waiter checked on us frequently for refills and to ensure we enjoyed the food.

Awesome food, great service and friendly staff. We are so happy that they are allowing seating and we chose a patio table. We are also happy to see that they are pet friendly on the patio area as long as they are on a leash. we are glad to see that they have ceiling fans on the patio area as well as shades to pull down to help with the evening Sun.

This is our local go-to Mexican food restaurant. Always great tasting food. We always call in for pick-up and it’s usually ready no longer than 25 minutes. Friendly staff. Only negative would be: triple the amount of bell peppers on the fajita plate. There is never enough bell peppers. Besides that, this place is great!

It was our first time here and we had an amazing evening. We had lovely service by our server Yesika R. who was so funny and accommodated our special requests. All the servers on the floor are also so friendly. The food of course matched the service and we will definitely be back!

Our neighborhood Mexican restaurant hotspot. I love having several options of my favorite foods, from tacos to enchiladas to their chiles rellenos. Staff is always very welcoming and their service is great too!

Coming from a Mexican person, this food is absolutely delicious. Truly some of the best food in the area. The price is reasonable for the high quality provided. Would recommend the fajita platter. Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed!

The tex mex parrillada is our favorite item. Wish they had some other hot salsa beyond the regular one but I have also never asked so they might. It's really good and highly recommend it. Their street tacos are so good as well

Seriously, AMAZING food! If I could give it 10 stars I would. Clean restaurant, COVID rules are followed, and not a long wait for a table. Our server Victoria R. was great. She nailed it out of the park when it came to taking care of us. She got all of our orders right, made sure we had refills before we asked, and had our food out quickly. I went with the Steak Tacos, my wife shard the Beef and Chicken Fajitas, and we had Tamales with Chicken Flautas. Highly recommend the Steak Tacos. Plus at the end of the meal, we were given complimentary cookies for our 5 kids. All in all, great meal and cost was affordable.

Awesome food. Decent service and affordable price. Definitely give it a try if you'll be around and you won't be disappointed.

The food was amazing! Service was awesome.. only thing I would suggest is a new salsa recipe it wasn't good at all. Will return for sure! Try it for yourself I'm sure you'll love this place and the atmosphere.

Had some time Friday afternoon between meetings and went to Villa Grande as the local go to for Mexican food. Started out with their chips and salsa, which reminds me very much of California style salsa and the chips were fresh (warm and salted well). For lunch I ventured off the norm and tried their taco salad with ranch which was good with a nice mix of lettuce, rice, refried beans, tomatoes, cheese, and fajita chicken served in a flour tortilla fried bowl. I was not expecting it to be great, but the combination of flavors was a nice change of pace from my usual taco order. Complimented with a House margarita and seating outside made for a lunch hour on a Friday afternoon.

Overall great! Service was awesome on a busy Christmas eve. We went to two other Mexican restaurants and they were closed so we decided to try an old favorite. They didn't disappoint! The wife ordered a margarita she didn't like and they swapped it out for another with a quickness! Food was Excellent!

The food here is excellent! Been many times with family and have tasted most of the menu. Everything is freshly made in-house. Salsas are excellent. Pineapple-serrano margarita is a must-have!

We came in today and were highly impressed with the amazing service and quality food we received at a fair price. When it seems gone are the days of good customer service, Majid provided one of the best dining experiences we have ever received! Keep up the great work! We will definitely be back.
