Thank you to your awesome employees today. I was in a crunch to find a good last minute wedding gift and your employees were top notch. They even rushed to wrap the gift for me and it looks so professional. Give your team a raise, no other store would've done this. One million stars to Lynn who personally gave us a ride to the Hanging Lake trailhead when the shuttle was not running. All the shop staff were great, giving us advice about what we'd need for where we were going. Best gear shop in town, they've got everything for outdooring at all levels.

The staff is awesome and I'm extremely grateful to have a local store that I can get my Climbing, Canyoneering, Caving or, Rafting equipment from. These guys are always willing to help and actually try to help you figure out what the proper equipment you would need for any expedition you might find yourself on.

A+ staff that care about customer service to go with Summit Canyon's many great products! Easy parking too!

Bought a pair of Hokas here after much research - Mikayla was amazing and really helped me pick out the best pair AND size I needed. She got me a few sizes in each style to figure out the best option. In the end I went with her recommendation and got the Rincons - which were the most affordable ones and the ones she said were popular for my “cushioned but sturdy” needs! Thanks Mikayla!

Wow! What a great experience I had at Summit Canyon Mountaineering. I came in with my daughter with no intention of purchasing anything for myself. I have a very hard time finding shoes that fit but the excellent employees (helpful, not hovering) displayed their knowledge about the best footwear for my issues. They were able to fit me with two pairs of shoes that were like music to my feet. We ending up buying shoes, rafting gear and clothing. I was so impressed by the staff. They were helpful, kind and professional. I just had to reach out to the store management and owner to let them know how great his employees were. Leah, Vaughn and Trevor made all the difference. Great products, great employees. I felt welcomed and valued as a customer. Their rewards program is awesome too. It's a terrific local business and an asset to the Glenwood Springs business community.

I went into Summit Canyon Mountaineering today and was so amazed with the service. Matt was very knowledgeable about the running/hiking shoes. He took the time to explain differences in the different brands and types. Matt was very patient which I find rare in my old age. I left with a great pair of shoes and a wonderful experience.

I needed a complete new ski setup . Had not purchased in 15 years plus. Thomas took the time to walk me through exactly what I should get and gave me an insane discount on much of it.

The owner also took the time to say hello and not only reinforced my decision on the skis but took the time to compliment his employee — which does not happen much anymore .

I would have never known that they even had ski stuff but Rob, a ski instructor ar Powderhorn suggested they were very knowledgeable on boots.

Trevor was a great help and very friendly. I'll go back to this hiking shop again! They have a great selection of merchandise from running and hiking shoes to clothes, to purses and wallets. It's easy to get too and overall I'm glad we shopped there !

We were able to find the gear we needed. The staff was incredibly helpful but not overbearing. The guy we spoke to gave us a lot of helpful information especially about rock climbing areas and best places to go for our skill levels.

Staff was very helpful finding what I needed in the store, and had really good suggestions! On top of the great selection they had, they were not afraid to recommend other stores and outlets with more items. The whole time shipping there, it was clear they wanted to help out the best they could.

Stopped by to get trax to hike Hanging Lake and they still had a few choices. End of season so stock is limited. Awesome customer service. Was able to find a Haiku bag there that I love both color & size!! Went back after hike and hubby got a nice pullover. Will go back again for future needs.

I'm traveling across the US, hiking and backpacking, and have been to dozens of outdoors stores for gear. Summit Canyon Mountaineering takes the win with a bullet! The staff was friendly and helpful the moment my dog and I walked through the door. I had gone to several other stores down I-70 and couldn't find a replacement buckle for my backpack, and they carried the exact buckle I needed and offered suggestions on getting a factory replacement. They have a large product offering of top quality clothing and a great assortment of dehydrated meals! There is a lower level which offered lots of sales items at generous discounts. I found a foot print that would fit my tent at more than 50% off! Special thanks to Joe for all his help and the scoop on hidden hot springs!! So cool.

Summit has always been our go-to for climbing and camping gear. Today was the first time going in for help with my ski boots. Greg was so incredibly helpful. I know barely anything about any of the gear and he was very patient with all my questions and lack of knowledge. You can tell he loves skiing and wants you to love skiing as well. He helped get my boots fitting better and gave me lots of advice. I would highly recommend asking for Greg if you have any questions about skiing and the gear you need. Thanks for hospitality:)
