Frankie Rowland's Steakhouse Salem

Classic steakhouse atmosphere with excellent entrees and service. Our head waitress (Tracy) was very professional. There were plenty of waitstaff on our service team and they worked well together. My wife and mother-in-law both had the seafood special (sea bass in a delicate cognac sauce) while I enjoyed the 20 oz Ribeye. The sea bass was delicious and my steak was perfectly prepared. The ribeye marbling ran deep giving an extra burst of intense flavor with nearly every bite. The fat was not at all gristly-just melt in your mouth indulgence. Our table of 3 shared two generously portioned sides (brussel sprouts and asparagus). We could have easily shared one side and been satisfied. We skipped the appetizers, salads, and desserts - so can not comment on them other than to say that the selections were tempting. We visit Salem frequently to see family and are delighted to see such a quality restaurant thriving here. We will definitely visit again when we return.

I have to say, first time visiting the Salem Frankie’s. Natalie was absolutely stellar, she was extremely responsive and extremely attentive. The food was stellar, and the way it was plated was exceptional. I highly recommend this Frankie’s location, and make sure to ask for Natalie.

Had appetizers and cocktails here with friends. The pineapple martini is amazing! All the staff members were friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent. Stylish decor. Highly recommend!

Stopped in on a date night for drinks and dessert. We sat outside on the patio. The service was awesome. I had a Cosmopolitan and Mudslide Martini and they were both good. I got the bread pudding which was amazing!! It was like a Krispy Kreme donut. I'd like to come back for dinner.

Very much enjoyed the atmosphere in the bar lounge. Wait staff was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Had drinks and appetizers on the couches which was fun and different. Definitely recommend the pineapple martinis, crab dip, baked brie, and bruschetta/goat cheese.

1st time at the Salem location. Natalie was excellent in describing the specials and changes to the menu. Every server during our meal were especially attentive. Greatly appreciate all the attention!

A modern twist to the downtown Roanoke location with the same delicious menu. Everything was delicious and prepared perfectly. Ashley was our server and took our experience up a notch, she is great! We will be back to this location for sure!

My husband and I had a wonderful meal at Frankie Rowland's in Salem. The service and food were both exceptional. Our server was so attentive and knowledgeable. A few different servers stopped at our table and were all so friendly.

We ordered the brie en croute, oysters on a half shell, brussell sprouts, chilean sea bass and filet. Everything was delicious - I'll keep coming back for the sea bass. In fact, it's only 9:30 am and I wish I had the dish in front of me now!

Great steakhouse, a little pricey but well worth it. Try the scallop appetizer can't go wrong. The candied carrots as a side are very good. Go at least 1 to 2 times a month.

My very first time eating there was last night. I got the 10oz.Filet Was hands down the best ever.All the sides were perfect.Mac&cheese Mashed Potatoes,Brussels,And Onions rings.If I had one complaint it would be the bread.I have eaten at Halls Chop House in Charleston,S.C.and Columbia S.C.I'd put this place Frankie's just as good ang day.Especially the Steak

I had a wonderful experience and the food was amazing, especially the bread pudding! It's made with Krispy Kreme donuts. My server was one of the best I have ever had! She was personable, she knew the menu and made excellent suggestions, and she has the greatest name so, next time your at Frankie Rowlands in Salem ask for Storm :)

Opening night in Salem, VA and they nailed it which is not listed on the menu but we highly recommend the Seafood Trio. And of course you have to have the pineapple martini. It’s a standby and just like the one in Roanoke. Olivia waited on our table, conversational, friendly and personable. Right across the street fro Roanoke College, much better parking than downtown. Service was great and I’m sure this will be a staple for date night, college reunions dinners and special guest to the college. Highly recommend happy to offer this review.

Our favorite Friday restaurant. Atmosphere is New York City! Food is incredible, and the key word is CONSISTENT. Jason the Manger is the best! Runs a great ship. Favorite Server is Kiari McGuire. She is professional and makes everyone feel special. Love all the Servers. Like going to Cheers--everybody knows your name!

One of my favorite "special occasion" places. Most recently my partner and I celebrated our anniversary and the staff went out of their way to make it more memorable. Definitely make reservations if you're wanting a specific day but would absolutely recommend!

I am not a steak eater, so I was hesitant to go. However, the oysters Rockefeller and crab dip were out of this world. Service was fantastic! If you are considering going, consider no more..just go!

We celebrated my husband's retirement tonight, from a company in Salem. The service was wonderful and staff extremely professional. The food was amazing! Everything was cooked to perfection.

Just like the original location downtown. Food an service top notch.

Only downside once you have a steak from here.If go anywhere else,you may as well just get a steak at waffle house. Anyone tells you so an so place around town is just as good. They on Amy Winehouse level of denial!
