Potrillos Mexican Grill

While visiting the area for a few days, this was the best restaurant I had on the trip. It was also recommended by my local Airbnb hosts.

The menu had meal and drink for every budget, I choose to get the “highest end” meal just to see what their best looked like. Pics attached. It was very good. I live in Chicago and try tons of new restaurants all the time, this place is a gem💎 in Carlinville. I recommend the Hawaiian Fajitas and the Passionfruit Margarita🙏🏽

OMGOODNESS love this place. Quick service, delicious food…actually has flavor compared to the chains. Salsa was flavorful too. Wish they would open up in St Louis/St Charles area!!

Absolutely magnificent. My Aunt and I went on a drive and stumbled upon this little gem today. Everything was wonderful! The restaurant was clean, the food was awesome, and the service was superb. We will be back soon!

My son had a baseball game in town and ader the game we decided to find what's close to eat. We decided to eat at Potrillos Mexican Grill because of their reviews. I'm here to give them 5 more stars for the great food and service! Highly recommend if you are in the mood for some Mexican food!

and being from a ultra-fast paced metropolis is one thing...

Not too far from The Carlinville Square Gazebo... got to love ❤ small-town beautiful views, illuminated old buildings, and its breathtaking late 1800's MILLION DOLLAR COURTHOUSE ( the history blows my mind )...

Great food and great service.

My niece and I both loved our dinner at this restaurant. Today was our first time there but we will be returning. The food was good as well as the atmosphere and the people. Muy bonito!

This is the second Mexican restaurant in town. It is located in a section of an old remodeled church, and not in the main part of town. The food and service are both good. Bright dinning area. Although interior seems a little dated. I enjoy eating here.

I've been to this facility 2 times, and both times have been amazing experiences! Very kid friendly, super courteous staff and all around good clean place (and the food is delish lol). I will definitely be returning in the future 😁

Really good food and worth every penny. If I lived closer, I would be here often. The waiter is also very kind and the wait for food was short. The decor is pretty. Highly recommend to get lunch or dinner from here 10/10. The margaritas are also delicious!

Stopped in after a high school soccer game a few weeks ago and pleasantly surprised at the quality of food prep and atmosphere. A bit out of the way but well worth it.

Friendly service, unique atmosphere, really yummy food! We live in Springfield and happened to be in the area for some errands so we came in for a late lunch. We especially liked the salsa (so many places serve tasteless salsa!) and the yummy tortilla soup on a rainy, chilly summer weekend! The shrimp was soooo good also, that alone deserves five stars. Glad we stopped by- hope to come back again to try new things!

My family had fajitas for 4 people and they were so good. This was our first time getting food from Potrillos so we weren't sure how it would be but the food was amazing and since it was fajitas for 4 they split it into 4 containers. We also got tacos and they were also very good.

Very good! Excellent food & service. Limited on-site parking, but street parking available. Hands down the best Mexican food anywhere in the area.

Right away I was impressed with this restaurant. It smelled cleaned and looked impeccable. Our waitress was great. Our food came hot and fresh. It was a great dinner.
