Red Kite Candy

After much searching found the best priced and tasting chocolate covered English toffee on earth. To boot the candy bars are amaaaaaaazing! Lovely box and packaging for gifts and a thoughtful thank you note from my new boyfriend "Mike". Couldn't recommend more highly.

January 2023 Bought these delicious caramels for the first time in Stowe, and on our way to Boston, stopped at their store to get more so that we could take them back home to Florida. They are absolutely amazing. Their ice cream and homemade waffle cone are also to die for. The owner, Elaine, and her son were so warm and courteous.💯 recommended 👌

January 2024 On our way back from visiting my brother from Canada, I begged my husband to stop at Red Kite Candy again. I couldn't believe that the owner and her son remembered us from our visit last year. Of course, we bought more candy and ate their delicious ice cream. Their homemade waffle cone is the best! To my surprise, the owner included a gift and a personal note, which I discovered when we returned home to Florida. Thank you, Elaine. ❤

Their ice cream is fantastic! I love the double chocolate one, my favorite chocolate ice cream anywhere! Definitely a MUST stop for visitors. Be aware, their flavors rotate so check Instagram ahead of going! Also, they are CLOSED on Sundays!

Best ice cream on the planet! Their caramels, fluffernutter bars, etc. are also heavenly. Everything is made in-house. The owners Elaine and Mike are super friendly and always make my children and I feel at home. Their manager Tonya and all their other staff are always exceptionally kind. We go here way too much, but I can’t help it because it’s so incredibly awesome!!!

I discovered Red Kite Candy years ago at a triathlon exposition and used the caramels to fuel my Ironman race (which was the best part of the race!). I was exploring Hanover the other day and was ecstatic to stumble across the brick and mortar store. I bought caramels, tried an incredible s'more chocolate bar and ate about five different kinds of the ice cream. Everything to eat there is so delicious you want to savor each and every bite. I don't like anywhere near Hanover, but Red Kite Candy will be a destination for me for years to come!

Simply the best summer treat! Home made strawberry in a home made waffle cone (the best I’ve ever tasted).. with numerous other wonderful flavors. Seriously, head and shoulders over all the rest.

Great ice-cream and chocolate we will definitely come back. Such nice owners who are there doing the work themselves and their dedication shows. A really cute well designed place! There is one table to sit at and it would be nice to have a little more seating to enjoy watching them cook and bake. A great addition to hanover--a perfect afternoon stop in a place you can feel has a lot of love poured in to it.

I'm more of an ice cream than caramel connoisseur & the ice cream was divine! The coffee ice cream had a perfect coffee flavor without the bitterness of dark roasted coffee (it's actually the white scoop). They were also kind enough to fit 3 flavors into a large scoop which I always appreciate. The toffee bits in the toffee crunch were also buttery and delightful.

These guys make their own ice-creams and cookies and they are delicious! I had the coffee ice-cream in a cone and the texture was so thick and creamy, yumm! Would visit again! Nice decor and warm folks!

Their caramels are divine. Especially the maple caramel and the classic salted caramel. They are so good, my husband got them for me as an engagement gift and then had them flown out for our wedding even though we'd moved 1000 miles away!

What a wonderful place. They specialize in caramels and have a variety of different types as well as other candies. The owner is one of the most delightful people I have encountered in years and we were lucky to be the last in line so we could visit with her. After grabbing lunch we returned to try her maple flavored ice cream which was also delicious.

The homemade ice cream is so delicious & the waffle cones are so delicate & tasty! Will definitely be back! Best ice around! The shop is super cute & the staff was amazing as well!!

This ice cream is a show-stopper. I've loved Red Kite's carmels for years but stopped by the other day to try their new ice cream options. I literally stopped in my tracks on my way back to the car. I wouldn't go so far as to call myself an ice-cream connoisseur, but its my go-to sweet when I'm traveling abroad and in the states. Nothing beats Red Kite's ice cream. Rich, decadent and with a fresh, house-made cone. I've told so many people about it that I figured I might as well share online too!

Stopped in and were given a sample of the caramels. Best I've ever tasted. Had to purchase a box to take home. So creamy and flavorful.

Had Red Kite ice cream with the wedding cake for my daughter’s wedding at the Quechee Inn. It was a huge hit. People said it was the best ice cream they ever had. Mike couldn’t have been more helpful in helping with flavors and packaging. We had a Maple caramel, a fresh summer strawberry and a delicious vanilla. Thanks!

I go to Red Kite Candy every year to buy caramels as Christmas gifts. I never knew caramel like this existed until I tried it here. The caramel is amazing and melts in your mouth! We freeze the caramel to make it last, but I’m not sure why because we usually eat it all within a week. I’ve picked up in the store and I’ve had them delivered. When I had them delivered, they were shipped within an hour of my order. Highly recommend!
