Al-Aqsa Sweets

The Knafeh here is soooo good. I couldn’t wait to take a picture. I had to take a couple of bites before I got it home. The outside has a light crunchy texture especially with the pistachio’s. The inside is soft and melty with the cheese. I can’t wait to try the harissa, basbousa, Maamoul, baklava and Maha’s eyes. I’ll be back very soon.

Family owned Middle Eastern sweets shop. The lady, Um Ahmad, shown in the photo is a co-owner. All tarditional desserts are made on site. She was very friendly and talked to us about how they started. We were given two cups of traditional Arabic coffee, on the house, was really good. Reminded us of how "mom used to make it".
We ordered a tray of fine Kunafa, we were given extra syrup without even us asking for it. I was surprised because I read couple of reviews saying that people were denied extra syrup. Kunffah was delcious and on the sweeter side, to me at least, so we didn't use the extra syrup.
Next time we come back to Columbus, Al-Aqsa is on our to visit list. We're glad our friends recommend it.

When it comes to sweets , I like crunchy bites.I don’t like to much sugar syrup in it .
This place has the best flavor u can ever have around Columbus and it will remind u in the real sweets u have in lebanon syria or Palestine.
I had more then an item and it’s worth trying or driving toward it .

If you're looking for the best Middle Eastern sweets and pastries, this is the place in Columbus. They have an incredible variety of baklava, Turkish delights, and others. This place is also run by the nicest family you'd ever meet.

Their Knafa is the best in the US. I bought two trays and took it with me to LA, the owner was very helpful and kind to open early and get the order ready for me. Will definitely come back. Thank you so much

This was absolutely delicious and the packaging tres chic. Also the response on facebook, as well as speedy delivery was awesome.
My only recommendation is make sure to ask what each desert is made of, the same desert in one country has a different name in another, so can be a little confusing if your understanding of arabic deserts is limited. Or just try it it will be delicious either way! :)

One of the best place to try Mediterranean deserts! It is a must try. I loved the Knafeh, baklava and others! Best part is freshly made and right balance of sweetness.

This is the best kunafah I’ve ever had in the last 12 years. The color, taste, texture and cheese ratio reminds me of the authentic kunafah in Palestine. I would recommend this store and we will be back

We absolutely love this place! We’ve been here several times now and have tried a lot of different baklava and cakes and we love them all! My wife’s favorites are the pistachio and chocolate baklava, while mine is the helba. The staff/owners are very friendly and helpful.

Everything was so fresh! Great experience! Young man in the front was really helpful. He even carrried my boxes to the car.

Finally got there yesterday and what a treat this place is! Beautiful creations, all delicious! The walnut cake is so moist and flavorful and the little boxes of mixed cookies are perfectly created and tasty. And such beautiful little individually wrapped Turkish delights!
This is a tiny store in a non-descript strip on Schrock but don't let that fool you; this is a clean, professional bakery run by obviously experienced bakers. A must-try!

My husband and I got a few sweets for dessert after dinner. The owners were very lovely and helpful, we are thrilled we have a delicious Middle Eastern bakery in Columbus that reminds us of our upbringing! Everything tasted amazing and you can tell they know what they’re doing! Highly recommend!
