Finally found BBQ PERFECTION and in the friendliest place you will ever find. The rub is spot on! Not too much salt, pepper, paprika, etc. Just a nice well rounded flavor that compliments the deliciously smoke saturated, moist, tender, forget the knife meat! Freddy is a master chef! My friends and I will be back for sure!

The menu highlight of our family Staycation this week was definitely 517BBQ! We ordered the Throwdown for our kids and grandkids and chose Brisket, Ribs and Pulled Pork. We also had sides and the absolutely delicious cornbread. Then there was dessert ... Texas Sheet Cake described by our son as " Whoah, lights out good!" Also, the Peanut Butter cake that some stacked with the Texas Sheet cake for chocolate - peanut butter deliciousness. We have ordered from other BBQs in town but they just don't compare. This meat was so moist and flavorful, we can't wait for leftovers. And the only work we had to do was get out of our chairs for 2nd and 3rd helpings!! Thank you 517BBQ!

Great food and great people. Got the pulled pork sandwich and cheesey potatoes. Very good.

Stopped by this place to check it out. The Brisket plate is a great value and taste great. You get side with a mound of meat and it is honestly enough for my Wife and myself to share. I have also had the nachos with chicken, it was pretty good and again enough to share. The staff is friendly and one time they had homemade peanut butter cookies which were delicious. Highly recommend this place for some quick bbq.

517 catered my Dad’s celebration of life and everything was wonderful. They were very quick with getting back to me when I called about their catering service, they had my order and what I needed to feed 45 people quickly put together, while being professional and friendly. I added desert the following day of ordering with no problem. Everyone at the gathering for my Dad throughly enjoyed. You won’t be disappointed.

Have seen it for past couple weeks. Thought I would try it tonight. Smelled so good I didn't think it would make it home! It was as delicious as it smells. Service was awesome and friendly. I had the pulled pork sandwich with a generous side of Mac and cheese. Delicious! I scraped the plate. Can't wait to try the brisquet!

On 2/9/2020 I stopped in to 517 BBQ on a recommendation from a friend. I was not disappointed. I ate in and had their brisket sandwich with mac & cheese and baked beans. I'm a big guy and there was plenty of food. The brisket was done to perfection and their bbq sauce is amazing. Overall a really good meal with two delicious sides. The food came out quick and hot, and the service was terrific. A top notch BBQ joint for those who enjoy the real thing. I'll be back to try their pulled pork and ribs. Thank you for a really great tasting meal.

517 BBQ is the BEST barbecue in town!!! The brisket and ribs are amazing, no sauce needed! The chicken is not dried out and very flavorful. I'm not a huge fan of pulled pork but I would eat their pulled pork over and over again. The people are very friendly and very helpful. They are upfront and honest. I love this place!!!

Went there for the first time today (ended up being the first customers and get in the lobby) and they were very excited to have us. Sampled the brisket and pulled pork and ended up going with a pulled pork sandwich and it was the best one I’ve had in Lansing. People working there were super excited and friendly and will be returning very soon.

517 BBQ is seriously amazing. I've had all of the meat on their menu and several sides, and it is all delicious. The meat is so perfectly cooked that it melts in your mouth. It is so flavorful!! I could eat it every day! And everyone who works there is really friendly and kind! Highly recommend it 😊

So delicious! Ordered ribs, pork, brisket, jalapeño cornbread, potato salad and mashed potatoes for a family feast yesterday and every single item was awesome! We'll be back soon! Great phone service and pick up. The restaurant was clean and the owners fully compliant with COVID-19 restrictions. As a senior, that respect for the health of their customers means the world to me. This place SLAPS. Great customer service from the owners son, love that it’s a family operation. Doesn’t hurt that it’s the most good you can get for your money, too! Top notch BBQ at a great price - I paid under $13 for a brisket meal with 2 sides and got a lot more food than I expected. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised!

Do not sleep on this business! I have no idea what they did to make the most delicious pulled pork, but I'm hooked. I've gladly eaten pulled pork and mac leftovers for 3 days now. No BBQ sauce required. GREAT JOB 517!!!

Very good. Bbq ribs, macaroni and cheese, beans, and the jalapeno corn bread. All very delicious. The meat was tender and moist. The sides were good. I would order again and reccomend them to anyone who likes bbq/southern style food. The price seems reasonable for what you get.

517 BBQ is a favorite of mine. The brisket is to due for and the cheesy potatoes are divine. The drive thru makes it easy for my spouse to grab us a couple meals on their way home from work or shopping.

First visit, but definitely not my last. Pulled pork was very good, cornbread was nice and light. But oh my goodness the BRISKET!!! Flavorful, tender, just about perfect. Highly recommend !!!!

Found this gem about 3 months ago. Im there atleast once a week if not more. Sometimes back to back. Best BBQ in lansing hands down. Its worth the wait if its busy and you can enjoy the smell of the smoker out back. Foods absolutely amazing. I tell everyone to go here. Love this place.

I LOVE their ribs! I find their meats to be tender, moist and very flavorful each of the several times I've ordered. The owners and the staff are always warm and accomodating. I strongly reccomend visiting and trying out their offerings.

This is a great little place. These guys are making something special there. I highly recommend you check them out! You can sit inside or get your BBQ through the drive-thru. The brisket was some of the best I've ever had.

Reasonable prices, DELICIOUS FOOD. Supports members of the the UAW on strike, this place will have my business for the foreseeable future. It might take a little while to get your food but it is WELL worth the wait.
