Richie worked wonders on my Gibson 61. Amazing fretwork and a new nut that not only makes my guitar resonate the way it's supposed to but also looks beautiful.

Definitely bringing my other guitars here again

Brought my Bc rich stealth In to get a new bridge and a new nut and Richie did such a phenomenal job the handcrafted bone nut came out amazing he finished it so quickly too he ordered me a brand new bridge he cleaned and polished the fretboard so it looked brand new his original time frame was two weeks but once the guitar was in his possession and the parts came in it took only days it was the best work I’ve ever had done to any guitar of mine. highly would recommend this man to anyone. He really took such good care of my instrument and set it up exactly how I wanted it. I played it for hours after I brought it home it sounds perfect he fixed every thing that was wrong with it . I cannot say enough great things about Richie if you have any guitar issues he will fix em for you no problem and at a great price. I will definitely have him work on a few of my other guitars next cheers 🍻 🎸 🤘🏻

Richie is a real expert! He took the time to answer all my questions and even taught me quite a bit about how everything in the bass is connected. As a newer player, this was all very useful information. He also pointed out a few loose bits and included fixing them in the basic setup cost along with a polishing of the body and fretboard. My budget Squier now looks and sounds like a much more expensive bass! I'll be returning to Richie for future setups.

Richie really did some incredible work on my Taylor Acoustic. The hand carved bone saddle and nut are beautiful, and the guitar’s sounding better than ever. Richie took his time in explaining the process. He took the work and my instrument very seriously; the proof is in the sound.

Richie totally revived my guitar! Before I found Richie I brought my guitar in to a local music shop to lower the action so my guitar felt easier to play. when I got it back from the local music shop it still felt really hard to play and something just felt off. When I brought it into Richie he took measurements of every fret and immediately knew what was needed to properly set me up. He even recommended a custom bone nut and saddle. Now my guitar is playing and sounding way better than it ever has! Richie is very knowledgeable and skilled at what he does. You can tell there’s true passion there. Highly recommend you check him out if you’re ever looking to upgrade your guitar to the next level.

Took a GS Mini to Richie. Richie suggested a neck reset as the action was way too high. Richie did reset the neck and put on phosphor bronze strings. The guitar had been on my lap every free minute since the reset. It’s not only easier to play, the sound improvement is incredible. Beautiful!
I have another guitar on concession, if it doesn’t sell I’m definitely taking it to Richie for his recommendations and skills. So glad I found him!

Richie!!!! An amazing human with a fantastic eye for detail. Had an issue with a divot in a fret. Wasn’t sure how to proceed and had a show in 3 weeks.. was told it would be ready in 2, and he ended up evening out the frets. When I picked it up, it sounded/played like a dream! Fixed the issue, made the guitar easier to play and even remembered to tune it to D-standard. Thank you Richie!! We will be returning for all our future needs.

easily the best guitar shop around whether you need repairs, maintenance, upgrades, or even just new gear, can’t recommend anymore. had a new neck and rolling nut installed, really happy with how it turned out

Just met Richie today. Found him on Google with good reviews. I had a minor repair. He clearly was busy with many guitars to work on but took the time to fix mine immediately. Great service, very nice guy. He will get more work from me in the future. Thanks Richie!

Let me tell you about this guy! His attention to detail is incredible. Richie took my pedal board from a mess to a success. New custom patch cables, cleaned up my power supply lines and added a stereo output. Haha. Seriously all sarcasm aside, phenomenal work he is a true craftsman. You won’t be disappointed if you let him work on your guitars or pedal board or anything guitar related. 11/10!

I own several vintage, high-end guitars and only trust them with the most competent technicians. I recently brought a 1978 Gibson Ripper fretless bass to Richie for help with some complicated setup problems that had evolved over time, as is often the case with old gear. Richie surpassed even my high expectations with his technical knowledge, conscientiousness, attention to detail, and customer care. He handed my bass back to me playing and sounding better than it ever has and explained to me in logical detail what he did and why it mattered, addressing several issues that other guitar shops have failed to rectify. Nothing better than having a vintage guitar that plays like new! If you're not taking your guitars to Richie's Guitar Shop in Carlsbad, you're likely just not getting the best service available. I will be taking all my guitars to Richie from now on and suggest you do the same. 🏆🎸

Richie is an expert, fine craftsman, and a nice guy to boot. He was good at detailing options for bringing my late 40’s Gibson back to prime playing condition, adding original hardware and the procuring of same. Really could not be more pleased with his work.

Brought my Fender Jazz bass in for a noisy jack, new strings, and a setup. Ritchie did an amazing job, bass looks like new and plays and sounds amazing. No more noisy jack! Highly recommended.

WOW JUST WOW! Took my guitar to Richie to get the action adjusted and upgrade the bridge, nut, and pins to bone. Just blown away by the sound, sustain, and the playability now. This brings me so much joy! Will most absolutely be returning here in the future for all guitar related things. I trust this man, the experience, the work, the expertise is authentic. This is the way to go!

Richie did an AMAZING job wiring my pedalboard up. I am a player, not a technician, Richie was able to guide me and make recommendations that gave me more than I was looking for.

Wiring was clean and works flawlessly. Richie is now my go to tech.

My Collings CJ45 played okay when I got it. Being my first vintage style guitar I thought that was just how it would play.

Fast forward several months later I still felt like my left hand was getting fatigued a lot quicker than it would on any of my other guitars. It seemed like my guitar needed a set up. I erroneously thought a Collings wouldn’t need that..

I got Richie’s information, talked to him briefly over the phone and he came by my house to take a look at the guitar that same day. Within minutes he diagnosed the issue and came up with a game plan. He had the work done quicker than he estimated and it is much more fun to play now. I’ll be taking my other guitars to Richie!
