Friendly service and nice selection of instruments. I shopped there 2 years ago and purchased a Fender Squire Jazzmaster, great price and plays awesome.

Ever since I started playing bass this is one of my first and favorite stores I bought an acoustic bass here and love it Jared and the rest of the staff are awesome and very helpful plus their mascot is an adorable pug. Keep it up guys.

Just left from the store with a tuned cello. Happy with the outcome. Jared tuned & set up my cello in less than 10 minutes. Quick and efficient service. Will come by again.

This place is amazing! I took my electric guitar for a set up and I was blown away by the quality of service. For many years I was taking my guitars to guitar center for maintenance and was always unhappy because they would just do basic work I could have done myself. Village Music really took care of the details I need as a working musician. When I got my guitar back from them it felt like it was back to its best condition. I am super happy to have found this shop!

I was looking for my first electric guitar. The one I choose was hard to find, but CVM had one in stock. Talked with Jared and he set me up with a great deal. Unlike big box stores, Jared had checked it over and did a good setup on it. I'll be playing all weekend and if i need anything else CVM will be my first call. Came in looking for a screw for a jazzmaster saddle. The guitar tech was very welcoming and knowledgeable and managed to find the perfect fit for the bridge saddle. The staff over all is kind. Very refreshing coming into a music shop with people who share the same love for instruments and music! Great people great vibe!

Love this music store! As a Berklee College of Music student, I needed quick help with an old acoustic/electric that had been hanging on my wall for 6 years. The staff/owners at Village Music were super helpful. For a ridiculously low price, they re-strung my Epiphone jazz guitar and adjusted the action for free! It now plays beautifully so I can catch up on my studies after having a finger injury. This new management is super!

Carlsbad Village Music is a wonderful place. I studied guitar there for almost three years, and it was both an essential and incredibly fun part of resuming my music studies. It’s a very supportive environment where people of all ages are discovering the joys of music. The staff was also very helpful regarding guitar accessories and repairs. My teacher Rik always kept me engaged and progressing regardless of how much I had practiced. He knew how to foster my individual musical expression while at the same time answering my endless music theory questions. Thank you!

Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. I went in to check out a guitar I found online and noticed a price descrepency with the tag vs. the listing. A quick phone call to the owner to check on this by a staff member and I walked out with the better deal.
Besides my experience they have a wonderful selection of instruments and a staff that looks after their customers.

This place is just what Carlsbad Village needs. They have musical instruments like acoustic guitars and timbales, but they also have musical related retail items like ornaments and purses.

Their lesson rooms are absolutely beautiful! I don’t think there are many places that can claim that.

I am amazed by the complete remodel of the store. This place is classy, beautiful and very welcoming. Love this store!

It's definitely the best music store around!! They have a friendly and knowledgeable crew that's always extremely helpful and a very nice variety of ukuleles and guitars and lots of cute music related gifts and accessories! I love the vibe in this shop and i guarantee you will too!!

My daughter has had guitar lessons for several years now and loves it. When time allows, after each lesson, the teacher gives me a short summary of the lesson, how she is doing and what's for "homework".

We love this music store!! We came in today to buy a ukelele for our granddaughter and the quality and service was impeccable. The prices were very reasonable and the selection... never imagined we would find so many great choices. Can't wait to come back. I love supporting local stores. Thank you!

I brought in my Ibanez acoustic guitar for some new strings. I had told the young gentleman about how my guitar action and intonation was not feeling to good and if it could be because of the thicker gauge strings that was currently on and if i should go with lighter one's. He asked to see the guitar. Within 10 min my guitar felt perfect. The sound and action is to perfect to be true. Dude if you are reading this , thank you! This world needs more people like you. Ill see you the next time i am in Carlsbad!

Carlsbad village music is probably the best music store I've been to in a while. Super helpful, answered all my questions and very nice. The vibe was so cool and felt like family deffenetly coming back thank you so much!!

WOW! I love this place! I wish I could give it ten stars. The selection of equipment and supplies is spot on.

Plus, they have many more extras that go beyond a simple music store. There are plenty of unique items that make for great gifts for anyone who appreciates music in any capacity.

Plus, they have an assortment of music instructors that fit any genre and learning style.

And as a bonus, they are located in the heart of picturesque Carlsbad Village and just steps away from a variety of places to eat, the beach and the train.

This will always be my first stop for anything music related.
