Charley's Deli and Grille

The owner was personally working the register and we had a very lovely conversation, he ended up offering me free food and wanted to take a photo with me. The whole staff was very friendly and one asked me about the college I attended and if I'd recommend the program. The customer after us stated that he's been a regular for 30+ years as well, the food was amazing and the prices were unbeatable. An absolute must try in the Livonia area!

A place chosen by random or fate. I have found a not so secret place, it seems Charley's is known. It doesn't seen overwhelmingly busy atm.
However my group and I found the good was so good we forgot to take before photos.
Everything looks and tastes freshly made with kind and considerate workers taking orders.
They even seem to work with people when creating new food ideas on the menu. Like me with added Hummus to the steak and cheese sub. (The handsome male who took my order even went the extra step to take off the orginal sauce so the sandwich didn't have a clash of taste. Never would have thought of it if it weren't for him!!)

I highly recommend this place to anyone driving through the area. Or looking for an a calm place to eat. That has amazing food! Also the hummus in home made and the BEST I've ever tasted it! Ask the story from George! He's so kind and nice!!!

Ordered a 9 foot sub for a birthday party. Price was very reasonable. Sub was fantastic. Customer service was great. I highly recommend this place for all parties. I will be a repeat customer.

I don't know where to begin. We came in because the reviews were so good, we keep coming back because everything was so much better than we thought. Let me start with the food...I swear they put their heart, love, and soul into every dish. I have tried a few things and each one is magical. Then there is the people. Y'all, it's a family affair!! These guys are some of the nicest, most caring and inviting people I have ever had the pleasure of dining with. I can feel the bond and the love between them immediately, and they treat you as one of their own. God knows I needed to find this place, and I believe he sent me there right when I should be there. Please y'all check this place out ..you won't regret it !!

Very nice owner. 82 year old young and still working hard. The place has been her 29 years. Food arrived fast and was delicious. Highly recommended. Great place to support.

I was craving a corn beef sandwich, and saw a little deli in the corner. It was close to closing, which I didn’t know. I went inside, the gentleman that treated me was very soft spoken and patient with me. I swear I’m a picky eater, but everything I requested was perfect. Let me describe my sandwich, ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!!!! When I say, that’s the most juicy corn beef I’ve ever had, believe my words!!! You really have too. The corn beef was soooo juicy (not dry at all), and swiss cheese (I need to know what brand) was still melting when I pulled apart. Usually cheese would begin to solidify, not this cheese. And when I say my toast was so good and buttery, food, especially a sandwich, should not taste this good. Well, yes it should, but I haven’t had it, TILL NOW!!! So, yes, I’m going back and getting a sandwich for work, for me and my bestie. The respect in the way they cook their food, will forever keep me happy and I will continue to be a regular customer for now on. There are so many places to eat, but not enough love goes into cooking like this deli. This deli will always be Number 1 in my book. So, Charley’s Deli, I’ll be back once a week, trying new items on your menu. If I could rate this cooking, it will always receives the best stars. Everyone, you have to try this place. It’s amazing!!!!!

Always a fantastic place to stop in and grab a sub (steak and cheese is my hands down favorite), french fries or onion rings and a smoothie. We're also big fans of the chicken salad pita and hot chocolate

Hands down the best breakfast omlette and French toast I've ever had. Atmosphere is quiet and laid back.

10/10 corn beef sandwich. They Do NOT cross contaminate. Good people and a darn good deli

The vegetarian sub was absolutely amazing. It tastes so good and is so simple in terms of ingredients, I make sure to get it everytime I visit Michigan. The staff is also amazing.

I love this place!! The perfect little deli close to home. My favorite is the Italian pita roll and the fries are SO good! Nice and crispy and delicious! You can tell this is a real family run joint and you can tell they care so much about their business and their customers. Awesome service and friendly people! Thanks Charley’s!!

Pastrami on rye was delish! The Charley’s smoothie was good too, a little icy which hit the spot on a warm afternoon

Great lunch, sandwich, panini nook in a very convenient location, kind of a hidden gem in the Lavonia area for a quick lunch.

What surprised us was the spread of things served here at this restaurant. From delicious Philly's to Panini Sandwiches to Deli Sandwiches....and some Mediterranean platters...Healthy shakes and smoothies...this place has it ALL!! And all for a very reasonable price.

It looked like a family run establishment where it seemed like whoever was behind the counter cared about how things are done. It was refreshing to see that in this world of franchises! Go support this location establishment while enjoying a delicious lunch or dinner!

Criminally underrated spot. Everything is made great, with generous portions, AND at a good price. Can't go wrong.

Three of us ate here for the first time today and were sorry that we didn't visit sooner.

First things first, the service was outstanding! Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

My companions had burgers which they said were delicious. I had the Tomato Spinach Orzo soup, which was pretty filling on its own. But I also ordered the chicken salad pita and I'm glad I did. One of the best chicken salads I have had in a restaurant.

They have a very big menu! So many things we wanted to try. We'll definitely be back.
