Beautiful view. Tide was out. The water was smooth as glass. Saw the sandbar off to the right just off the point. I'm planning a kayak fishing trip up Shepherd Springs Creek in March. We tried to hike there last Friday but we were turned back. Ended up following Forest Service Road 209 until it dead ended at Shepherd Springs Creek. The last picture is near the Cathedral of the Palms.

Wakulla Beach is a really cool spot and worth checking out. No real beach (kinda muddy) but this is true Florida coastal sawgrass estuary with palm hammocks.

Long dirt road that can get muddy but always passable. Plenty of room to park and hang out.

Highly recommend.

A beautiful silent getaway to your noisy life.
Come experience this place if you have a boat to launch.

Beautiful but way off the main drag. Bumpy dirt road. Wouldn't take a fancy car down it. Worth the views

Very remote, small beach area. Mostly used to launch kayaks and other small vessels. Beautiful view!
Item of note: no facilities

One of the "best kept secrets" of the Gulf!!!
If you're looking to explore a little bit off the beaten path, I would recommend this beautiful spot! Not so much for swimming, but hikes, kayaking, fishing, and relaxing with your family are definitely some options! Be aware of CRABS!
Bait fishing = this location FOR SURE!

There were so many neat little critters to check out at low tide.

I came out here at night, which I only recommend if you're not scared of a million tiny crabs being everywhere. It was a lovely beach though, very clean and in a lovely, secluded spot!

it’s a really nice and very private beach! however you can only get to it by a small dirt road that is not suited for most cars i went down it in a small hybrid and i nearly lost my bumper! also it is full of baby crabs, there were easily ten thousand of them.

Awesome little beach, crabs roam free all over the roadway! Such a beautiful little marshland. I’ll add more pics from my other phone soon!

Great place to fish. You can drive all the way down to the beach and launch a small boat or kayak right into goose creek bay. Good place to fish year round with lotsa creeks that hold fish through the winter when water temps drop and fish leave the flats. You can see dolphins way back in the creeks too at high tide. Speaking of tides, it helps to know them before you go, both times and levels. On negative lows the water gets REALLY low and if you’re not paying attention you can find yourself spending the next few hours stuck in the mud waiting for the water to come back in.

No sand fleas, no bugs trying to attack you every second, no 20 min offroad journey to get there, very cool water.

Where the sky is the clearest and the stars are the brightest as they shoot across the sky regularly. I adore this spot, but wear your water shoes.

Probably not the best beach but it was still pretty. It was clear enough we could see an island in the ocean and down the one side of the coastline pretty decently. If you're wanting a secluded spot with very little traffic then this is your jam. Otherwise if you want people and city sounds and close dining/ shopping then I suggest looking somewhere else.
